9:00 what you're describing is usually called ghosting. When certain keypresses are ignored because other ones are occurring at that moment. If you already have a fully ghostproof keyboard, then there's something else wrong lol
The idea of a two part reload without making it special ammo is kinda insane from a realism standpoint. You wanna tell me that the Maynard uses the exact same ammo as the vetterli while having a wildly different reload and firing mechanism? Why use a percussion cap when you fire full cartridges. The springfield at least got a realisticly used modification with the trapdoor mechanism. Or am I missing something? Just a small nitpick

They made it so just for balance, to do a longer reload animation, and also it's really satisfying for me for some reason that we finally get weapon that reloads like this
hey hornet i personally like the maynard sniper really much but i tryed high velocity rounds in and had a feeling that with that the gun feeled weird or more inaccurate would u recommend normal bullets/dum dum or rather high velocity ?
It depends on your playstile, this one have huge close up potential as it can 1 tap hunters in the chest with dum-dum ammo, and with HV ammo you have 180 meters of bullet drop with 660 m/s so it can work in every scenario, the only flaw this one have is the reload, 5s is way too much for 1 shot but i dont dislike it to be honest
@@Bao598 I use the Maynard a lot now over the Sparks and the extra 1s is hardly noticeable. If you use the Sparks a lot, the Maynard reload won't bother you a single bit
SUREFOOT IS STILL BROKEN. When you pledge to the wilderness pack and get surefoot it is bugged and has been the whole two weeks the event has been going. If you pledge and get that pact then crouch. Just hold W while ADS and your sights will not be aligned. Probably due to the increased movement speed when crouched, the kicker is that it persists if you decide to stand up. Funny enough when you crouch again the bug seemingly toggles itself off but now you don’t get the increased crouch movement speed, once again upon crouching another time you will now be unable to move forward and aid with any considerable accuracy. Pressing A or D while moving forward significantly reduces the effect and shots are much easier to hit but when you are holding W only it is basically impossible to hit anything beyond 5M away. If you really want to see how terrible this glitch is go to the shooting range with the nitro. It’s hilarious to see 😅 also it seems the longer the gun is the more out of line the shot is placed. This glitch killed me so many time before I realized what was happening. I Shift+W all the time and I think I have pretty snappy aim but I was not hitting any shots, I also only ran Surefoot
Maynard doesn't really replace the Springfield because you have to have the sniper scope which makes mid range engagements awkward and tough. If there was any gun that made the Springfield obsolete, it was the frankly insane decision to give the centennial dum dum imo
I do get the impression that the Maynard is an effort to fill the niche that the Sparks Sniper used to fill. The Sparks did get unfairly shafted by the ammo type changes imo, at least as a sniper's rifle. On the other hand, I'm glad that they're leaning towards obsolete weapons like this rather than adding more cutting-edge military bolt-action rifles to compete with the mosin.
The only thing I dislike about the meynard is the reload, you should put the casing in before the cap. Not the cap first. Makes no sense to put the cap on first. It's honestly a small nitpick but it just feels wrong.
@@OhBoy235 A lot of the guns at this point still used paper cartridges, but it is easier to animate brass cases, and it "sounds cooler" with that fwip and clink sound brass makes. I don't sweat the small stuff, the game isn't a historical simulator, it is a fantasy video game.

tbh i think its mostly an oversight. Crytek seems reasonably competent when it comes to guns, specially since they have to actually look into what they're adding, and not buy airsoft replicas and just model it in
The maynard irl uses a metallic cartridge and a percussion cap separately. This rifle was designed during the civil war when metallic cartridges were in their infancy

Personally I like them adding niche and unknown gun tech rather than another bolt action long ammo rifle. I think hunts at its best when it gets imaginative with its firearms and takes creative liberty, making things like the bomb lance/launcher and the makeshift mods like the alamo/ironside (i know those have some basis in reality though)

He would get absolutely demolished on my stuttering, input lagging 40fps setup with 80ms average ping internet. People who like to whine about unfair advantages like having a crosshair overlay have no idea that money is the real unfair advantage.
i used to play at 47 fps with my gtx 970 on 1080p and i had 4.5kd in 2019 hunt , the gear helps obviosuly and makes it smoother and more nice but it doesnt mean some just because you have insane fps that some kid in brazil with 30 fps and a old mouse wont destroy you lol

its powerful but not that powerful like dolch and nitro, from a balancing standpoint its best to keep it as regular ammo than special.

The only reason I see to play this is dumbdum. Sparks has more damage, centennial has a faster bullet, and Winfield has a better drop range.
