- Music fans will no doubt recognize the Donovan hit from 1968 that saw the collaboration of Donovan, George Harrison, Two (possibly three) members of Led Zeppelin, and some pretty heavy mysticism in the lyrics. It was intended for Jimmy Hendrix play in this song, but he had to decline due to other productions scheduled. It's a song with a lot of history and intersectionality of personality. It felt appropriate for this video. I tweaked it a little to match the length of the video.
The narrative for this video is that Baby Scott is opening his third eye to see a dream of Uncle David and Brother John playing in the snow at the beginning of Winter in Syracuse. Those who know history are aware of what was happening at this time. Baby Scott wants to see a world where young teens like David have no fear of and are in no danger of being drafted to fight wars for greedy tyrants. Brother John wants to learn how to make snowballs, a youthful rite of passage and a handing off of ancient knowledge from one child to another.
It took a while to find the right lighting balance for this. All previous attempts to capture it led to shadowy faces and limited textures.
