No karatê esportivo, muitas vezes se prioriza a velocidade dos golpes, deixando de lado o *kime*, que é a concentração máxima de energia no ponto de impacto. Conforme ensinado por mestres como Nakayama, o verdadeiro karatê integra velocidade, precisão e controle, sendo o *kime* o que permite gerar força sem causar danos, graças ao *sundome* - a capacidade de frear o golpe no momento exato.
No cenário competitivo atual, muitos atletas focam em movimentos rápidos para impressionar os juízes, mas sem a profundidade técnica do *kime*. A velocidade sem controle resulta em golpes superficiais, que não carregam a verdadeira essência do karatê. Para alcançar o *kime*, é necessário um treinamento físico e mental que fortaleça o corpo de maneira integrada, desenvolvendo respiração, postura e alinhamento.
Portanto, mesmo nas competições, é possível aplicar golpes fortes e controlados, demonstrando não só técnica, mas também autocontrole. O equilíbrio entre velocidade e *kime* é o que define um verdadeiro praticante de karatê, que busca profundidade e domínio sobre a arte, e não apenas agilidade superficial.
tem se afastado muito o karate esportivo da essencia da arte karate, e uma luta sem beleza , seria importante repensar o proposito do karate esportivo

This is sport karate (kumite) and is a point based fighting game. What you see in movies are often trained in karate such as hitting and kicking bags/pads. But street fights like what u see in movies are totally different in real life.
I hate to hear people screaming when I am fighting. It cheapens the tournament. It's just a bunch of noise and distraction from the art.

This is "Sport karate". Normal karate (kata and kihon) is almost identical to what u see in movies. Kumite is pointbased, but real karate is trained to be a effective martial art
I disagree. Muay Thai, boxing, Sambo, jujutsu , are about the only effective martial arts.. karate, taekwondo , kung fu rank towards the bottom of effectiveness, if we’re speaking in terms of self-defense..
@@chadmon3y982 Self-defense = mostly defense against knifes and guns. You don't have MMA-like fights when you are in dangerous situations, so no art is, by itself, good for self-defense, except if are are having self defense classes. And actually, many dangerous situations are more similar to competitive karate (kumite) than MMA, you don't fight for 5 minutes in the street, you just give one or two punches and then run.
@@chadmon3y982 May Thai uses gloves and has rules and it designed to use brute force. You can finger poke, pinch, clamp, or strike the inner leg of genital. It takes a certain distance to set it up and they have an all power or nothing approach which means is they mis a kick or kick the wrong thing they break their legs. Boxing is the same. Bothe Thai boxing and Wester Boxing basically uses a weapon and has hand protection and is designed to fight around rules. Sambo, jujitsu are all formidable, but they are rule based as well. While you are tieiing me up I can bite, pull your groin, poke your eyes, clamp your skin, seize your throat and make myself heavy by shifting my gravity or holding on to somthing. The empty handed art of karate frees me up to do any and everything I want to do to defend myself....if we are speaking in terms of self defense.

Mano, você tem que levar em conta que o nosso pais nao investe tanto no esporte,nao so no karate em si, mas na maioria dos esportes o ate em todos os esportes, poucos atletas tem o seu devido suporte e o seu devido reconhecimento, fazendo assim com que grandes promessas nao consigam competir grandes competições
