Levi sounds EXACTLY like his dad. ❤ he can really imitate his voice. With all the accolades Chef gets, I notice he smiles the most when his kids talk about how amazing he is. The pride all parents have to know you are their hero/shero❤
my favourite part about vlogging chef's cooking is that he explains his thought process behind what he does. he's sharing the science and analytical aspects of cooking, which i really appreciate
seeing Chef Lee pushed me to try cooking different dishes. Been a subscriber since early 2018 but these vlogs recently gives me a lot of inspiration and motivation in these hard times. Keep it up Levi!!
Just copped a pair of the sweats. I really wanted to show my thanks and support. You probably don't realize how much of an impact or influence you've had on my life in the past couple of years. It sounds crazy but you and Kai almost feel like my brothers I never had or something. I've learned a lot from you guys, and over the past few years your videos have been a constant source of entertainment, inspiration, and straight up support. They've helped in tough moments, often provided me with a spark for getting out of a funk, and frequently given me motivation to live a better life and become a better version of myself. Thanks for everything you do, man.
Honestly bro. I’ve been watching both your vids and Kai’s for quite some time. I gotta say, the love that you have for your Father as the oldest son is a thing of beauty. You are always with your dad like I am with mine and it is humbling and beautiful. The celebrity aspect is great but your relationship with him especially how you honor his craft is a very positive viewing experience especially during this time. Peace and love bro. Family always.
hey man im really struggling with my father death he was murdered recently and you and your dad really been helping me through it seeing you an pops reminds me of me and my father he was all i had at one point i wanted to kill my self after his death i know you know a love of a son and his father i was the oldest also and i saw your first cooking video it saved my life the videos with your dad saved me like im there too i don't know how to explain what it does for me but straight therapy for me Nd my names Levi to LMAO but anyways keep it up hopefully a Samoan kid could meet you one day tell my story. thank you levi for saving my life.
Been LOVING all the food content with your dad!! I would be so interested to see him give a pantry tour of different key ingredients for asian cuisine. I have a few staples that he’s used in lots of your videos (for ex mirin, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chilli oil, fish sauce etc) but that’s because I bought them on different occasions for different Asian recipes I found online. They just have been sitting there since because I don’t know the exact flavour profiles instinctively like I would those for my own culture’s home cooking. Knowing how to use each of those staple Asian pantry items in my regular cooking outside of following a recipe might be helpful (kinda like how I know when to use black pepper, thyme, garlic etc for a dish I grew up making and eating). I think him going through each of those staple Asian ingredients and explaining how to use each one and/or their flavour profile would be so so interesting. Would totally sign up for a home cook’s masterclass if Susur offered one in person after COVID in Toronto!
Thank you for the your everyday vlogs Levi I’m sure it’s not easy but I really look forward to your vids and I know you’re channel is gonna explode with these crazy contents. Also I love how transparent you are with your merch!! Will continue to support you!
I'm sure you hear this alot, but your father is the dopest person ever! ur so lucky to have him and we are so lucky to experience him through your great vlogs! keep it u man
Never thought I’d be watching an iron chefs sons vlog! And I love it!! You’re a really cool guy and so is your family. You seem to be yourself and show multiple different emotions and just things about yourself and family. It’s very enjoyable to watch! Would be cool if you had a tv show! One love fam!
your vlogs have become one of my favorite videos to watch and i look forward to watching them everytime they drop :) seeing you and pops in the kitchen is sick, mans be doing his ting and everything he makes looks sooooo BOMB
My favourite McDonald’s burger is also the fillet o’fish. When I was young, every Thursday without fail on our way back from my dads work at night we would stop at a local and each get one and a vanilla milkshake. Some things just stick out. That sticks out and so does your relationship with your dad as it is so similar to mine and I see so many similarities between susur and my dad. Hard working, relaxed, wise and worldly. Keep on learning and can’t wait to see what you create in the kitchen through what you have learned and more importantly based on intuition when your dad heads on home. Peace bro. 🤙🏽❤️🕊
Hainanese Chicken Rice? I'm from Singapore and it looked like it on the paper. Genuinely guessed it, but that's the go-to dish back home. Throw some dark Soy sauce and garlic chili sauce in
Keep up the fantastic work Levi. Can see the enjoyment and passion in making the vlogs. Super inspiring. Love and peace. Consistent work ethic big respects.
happy belated birthday! thanks for the positive content. Hope you don't fall back too much. its fun watching all the uploads despite the "quality". BTW your quality is always good.
I love the turbot fillet-o-fish! Really want to see Susur take on a traditional French meal progression, with or without fusion influences, would love to see that.
keep up the content, my bf and i have been loving the cooking videos. super inspiring. also caught my mom watching your vlogs in the morning ahaha she’s a fan of Susur. much love
If anyone is wondering what he wrote in Chinese, Susur wrote Hainan Chicken Rice. Very famous in Asia for the boneless chicken with a silky texture on the meat. Usually eaten with a sweet chili sauce mixed with the minced ginger scallion sauce. Hope he uses that sauce.
Not necessarily boneless though. It really depends on which part of the chicken you want. If you want it entirely boneless, it would have to be the breast meat and they’re usually not the silkiest. The silkiest part would have to be the leg+drumstick area. And the chilli is usually more on the vinegar-ish/salty and pungent side. That’s how we do it in Malaysia.
I used to look up to Ben Baller heavy. Basically my idol. Until i started listening to his podcast. Mans self brags and strokes his own ego every single chance he gets its cringe. He deserves accolades for his accomplishments but man cant get through an episode without forcing his success down our ears
@@bzo218 used to be inspirational until he’s overdone it. It’s cool to have confidence and share your success stories but dude is just on another level of bragging. Still a cool dude nonetheless but I cannot stand listening to him talk anymore.
The house looks good with the new plants and rug digging the decor. Shout out to the homie Big Ben Baller I remember him NikeTalk. Keep the videos coming 🤟🏿💚
I love how you help your dad and have such a nice relationship with him. I also love how he is able to show the world some amazing Chinese food know-how methods and authentic sauces that Chinese people use to flavour and elevate our dishes. It truly makes me so proud to be Chinese. Looking forward to your next episode re: cooking Chinese food :) Keep it up and happy belated!!!!!
