I lost my grandma on April 21st. I felt like God was speaking to me through him. “Give my pain and grief to God” I will remember that forever. Thank you God!!!! AMENNN
Thank you Pastor Tom I needed to hear that message on grief. I was lost my husband of 55 years and also my son to an accidental overdose... I don’t have a home church at the present time but I have adopted saddle back!!!
Thoughts and prayers are with you, I lost my 26 yo son Tom last month to an accidental overdose.I am lost without him, no other children and I haven't remarried since seperating from his mother, he was my world and my best friend..
Nice job... We all seem to be mourning something right now even if we don't realize it. Such a brutal time in our "roller coaster of life" in this broken world. Thanks for reminding us that we need to take it to a God who cares.
Just sent this message to my mother in law who like Pastor Tom because of Covid 19 travel restrictions could not travel to her younger brothers funeral. Greetings from Kenya and Mungu awabariki (God bless you all)
Thanks for such encouraging sermon. I needed to hear that to receive the comfort from God for the passing of my 35 years old son on February 10, 2020. This pain can't be overshadow by the Covid. It added more grief. I have to believe that is more than the pain I am suffering right now.
Starting my divorce soon and this video absolutely speaks to me. Thank you Saddleback. for too long I've tried to suppress how I feel but after this I will pray and ask jesus's help through this grieving process.
My dad passed away young. I thought Jesus would work a miracle and he would be saved. I can't believe I'm writing this. It's unbelivable. I have to live my whole life without him and I don't know how. Why did God let this happen? Why does he do miracles in some peoples lives and not others. How do I know my dad is okay and he's in heaven?
“Blessed are those who mourn” means : And they who weep for their own sins are blessed, but much more so who weep for others’ sins; so should all teachers do. The “comfort” of mourners is the ceasing of their mourning; they then who mourn their own sins shall be consoled when they have received remittance thereof. And though it were enough for such to receive pardon, yet He rests not His mercy only there, but makes them partakers of many comforts both here and hereafter. God’s mercies are always greater than our troubles. But they also who mourn for others’ sin shall be comforted, inasmuch as they shall own God’s providence in that worldly generation, understanding that they who had perished were not of God, out of whose hand none can snatch. For these leaving to mourn, they shall be comforted in their own blessedness.

Help me to experience the comfort that Jesus is talking about, that the book of Isaiah is talking about.
