I appreciate the plain teaching and common sense approach
I love how he said "everybody needs recovery from something." Please pray for me; I need guidance when it comes to dating. I was once married and now I trust very few or in some cases I tend to trust the wrong people. Please pray that good gives me wisdom on choosing the right person. Please pray that God removes that wrong people from my life.
Read the book “5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. So many people I know have read it and it’s very helpful. I would say to read it before your next relationship. And of course Rick Warren has ALOT of good things to say. Follow the Bible!

God didn't do that love, you did and a support staff. Keep in mind not only does God want all the Glory ( even tho you can't see him or talk to him) you are now in debt to him where he owns you. Oh, and if you sin again it's straight to hell. Also, you now have to pray and repent daily just so you can feel good. Kinda like a drug.
Give yourself credit for the work you've done. Instead of " praying ' meditate and love yourself rather than relying on a fictional character. Seek the truth rather than a storybook.

It covers so many things that I’m sure resonated with everybody that listened to it. Preacher Rick Warren, I can’t thank you enough for all the sermons you’ve preached! They have helped me more than you realize or know! I miss you posting new sermons on utube. I’m sure I’m not the only one that misses you being on here. As a college student who has failed and been shaken up very recently, I hope whoever sees this (especially if you are a college student yourself or are going to be) knows that God loves us and will never turn his back on us. He makes all failures into recoveries and triumphs and he knows what is best for us and what to do in our lives. Follow God, follow his plan, and everything is going to be alright.
I recently failed my classes in college & i feel like a failure, I hope to God that I can recover & triumph. I’m focused on God & it’s a personal discipline issue I have. If you can give me some advice or your testimony I’ll really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
@@davok9805 although I have no advice to give in my testimony, since each path of our life is uniquely specific and crafted (by God), there isn't necessarily anything I can tell you that I feel would exactly relate. the best thing though that I can still advise you do to is to join some sort of community in which you feel safe, accepted, and can openly talk about your issues. it's also a great big plus if it's a Christian one and that's what you want to do! but regardless, just follow Christ and ask for help in your troubling times

Failures need to be looked at as not negatives but trials that didn't work! Edison "failed" hundreds of times until he got it right. "Failing" can be beneficial if you learn from it and improve on the trial and continue forward. True failure is giving up on something that is beneficial(good)because it didn't work yet or because you made a mistake...no matter how great. YOUVE GOT THIS! :)

After an absence of 30 yrs I went back to my home country Australia and through a positive chain reaction, that started with my cousin, then a book by Christine Caine, God has helped me arrive to Rick Warren. I must say that I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to discover and listen to Rick's Sermons. I have always loved the Bible, but nobody has ever really explained it in this way, and I am here everyday listening and writing things down, and I would like to say Thankyou.

I not only can t get over my mistakes I hate myself. I want God back again SO badly. He is silent. No words. No comfort No love After 8 years of total hell w depression, hopelessness, darkness, and extreme fear. I always feel God is gone. No ow I have gerd, breast cancer, kidney failure, lymphoma, torn miniscus. I have lost my identity. I have no purpose. I should never have been born. I hurt gator mucj. No God with me anymore.

I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to fight this, deal w it, get healed, get delivered get Holy Spirit baptism, pray, prayed for, have faith,etc…….I am losing hope and want to give up. Your sermons are wonderful. I just think I am too far gone.
