Sales have been bad. Why do you think it's being discontinued. Because it's popular? The Hellcat took its lunch money. The car that's so good that nobody's buying. 🫢
The way GM has handled the 6th gen Camaro is appalling. Camaro has meant so much to America for over half a century, and to let it die like this is just sickening. The brand and it's fans deserve much better than this. It just seems GM has no love for this car anymore. Oh well. As long as I can afford one, I will eventually own a 6th gen - although I fully expect used prices to skyrocket. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy the hell out of my 2010 SS and will never get rid of her.
This is what happens when the pathetic GM mgmt chases EV $$ from the illegitimate Brandon Administration. Good news is that ALL the car goons that chased the grossly premature EV transformation as their new saving grace will pay dearly for that colossal decision the remainder of their feckless careers.
I was going to get a collectors ZL1, but I thought the price was way too much for stickers and decals. So I ended up ordering a 2023 Corvette 2LT Z51. Better buy in my opinion.
I really miss the days when you could walk on to a Chevy lot with a ton of these cars to pick from or they when they could simply dealer trade your configuration from the next state away. My original excitement wanting to order a '23- '24 LT1 has quickly changed to 'anything but GM' after the ridiculous supply issues and horrible dealer experiences that feel straight out of the 1980's.
The GM experience was actually better in the 80's!!! I had an order reasy to go for a 23/24 zl1...i canceled it, dont need the stress and b.s....gm either wants to, or not sell camaros...they should tell is wtf is going on... They marketed this great car, dont give 2 f**ks about it, just kill it already, couldn't care less at this point. I will build a pro touring for the 90k CDN i would have paid for a new ZL1.. their loss, i dont need the profit from the sale
Truth. I went to one dealer a couple months ago. They tried to sell me on a car that a different dealership had and "was probably on special order for a customer and not even available" but "HEY! I think I can work some magic for you. If you pay MSRP + $7k, I can probably get it for you." (This was for an LT1.) I said no. Quickly the $7k markup became just $3k, "maybe". No. "What if I was able to do MSRP for you, today, right now?" Dude, you already lost me when you said MSRP+$7k (for a $42k car). I went to the other dealership that actually had the car, talked with a salesguy, he said, "No, there's no special order for this. It's MSRP, no markup. Let's take a ride." Unfortunately, I'm too tall for a sunroof, which it had, so working/praying for an allocation for special order (working with the second dealership, not the first).
These prices are insane! My local dealer is trying to sell a 23 2ss 1le for $70k and I’m sure someone will buy it. I got mine at msrp for $55k and I thought that was alot. Couldn’t imagine paying over $100k for a zl1.
GM is a prime example of an affirmative action CEO who has no business in that position. Stock prices have been flat for 15 years except for a small spike during Covid.
I have had zero luck getting an allocation from local dealers (NH, Boston Mass area) for an SS. I have had 2 of these so far and the cars are fantastic. It is a shame how poorly GM is sending it off. Sales would probably be decent if it was easier to get your hands on one.
Even worse here in Europe. I have a 2014 SS and there are no more new Camaros available. I think the last model sold here was the 2022. Meanwhile Mustangs are selling very well because Ford are way more clever. Damn you, GM.
@@tomquigley2123 They're the #2 Corvette volume sales dealership (nationwide). Even though I wanted a 2023 2SS1LE allocation (6spd, Rapid Blue), I chose them because of their dealer sales status at GM. I had no luck locally. They do things differently than I've been used to, but in the end it worked out. Adam and Jacob took good care of me. I took possession on March 10th. Side note : IMO the 2SS1LE is equal to (and in some regards better) than the base Corvette. This coming from a Corvette fan. Good luck! Hope you get an allocation soon!
I dunno. I miss the original yellow. Nitro yellow looks like they copied the shade from old dried up mustard. Both in photos and in-person. The whole reason I got into Camaros was because of the yellow car from Transformers but THIS? This ain’t Bumblebee, at all. Sad face. Sad face.
To say I'm disappointed in GM/Chevrolet would be a huge understatement. Besides NASCAR, GM barely promoted the 6th generation Camaro. Literally the best Camaro ever made (arguably the best pony car ever made) and they spent almost no marketing dollars on it for the past 8.5 years! Is it any wonder why sales have sucked? So unfortunately it's no surprise that the end of the gas-powered Camaro matches the pathetic marketing attempts of the entire generation. At this point, I do not want an electric Camaro. In fact, I doubt I'll ever want one. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this opinion. So when GM decides to put out some kind of vehicle with a Camaro nameplate on it, it will almost certainly not be consistent with the nameplate legacy and performance (mustang mach-e clone?). Goodbye Camaro. Only in your death will people appreciate your life
Man you couldn’t have said it better than that. Everything you said is how I feel. GM has gotten so lazy. My problem with GM is that they’re satisfied with the bare minimum. I’m also upset that we didn’t see any engine updates in the 6th gen. I figured we’d at least see it with the LT2 or even see some type of last call package with the LT5 to compete with the hellcat redeye and the gt500. But they did none of that. Let’s all thank Mary Barra for destroying the Camaro brand.
I agree! Some women just destroy a good thing instead of building on it! I may get flack for saying that but it's the truth! Having said that, I did get a 23 2 SS Shock and Steel edition and have decked it out with a high wing spoiler and ZL 1 1LE ground effects. I paid 3 under sticker and can't really complain. :))
How can their be a back order on parts if sales are down? It doesn't make sense .it's not like they can't keep up with production. They just don't care about the Camaro
Got my new 2023 LT1 last year without markup (convertable). Considered the ZL1 at the time, but this is perfect for the need. Crazy fast and fun!! That is what is important.....Camaro V8 naturally aspirated power is fun....
The sad bit is that I really think the Camaro could outsell the competition if GM just made an effort. It's better than so much else on the market including what the Germans and Japanese produce. But if you don't build them, you don't sell them. Even before the supply chain problems, GM never marketed the car. I sold my 2019 2SS and I regret it more every day that goes by.
The 6th gen don't offer enough in size , space , options , colors , or performance to compete with other cars . They don't have chance to outsell the competition .
I feel your frustration Mat! Holding onto my ‘14, low mile Z28. Hard not to drive it though. Such a fun car! I know this isn’t a Camaro, but the CT5 V Blackwing is a 4 door race car, and available. Slim pickins for ICE GM sports cars right now. Very sad! 😢
Put my order in Aug 2022 Zl1 1LE, it arrived May 2023 very lucky to get one at MSRP. Funny the dealership had an actual waiting list for my car if I didn’t want it. It’s a complete shame GM is letting this icon die on the vine.
I dig the Nitro yellow. I'm glad I got my hands on a 2023 2SS1LE 6speed manual Sharkskin Metallic I knew it was going to be a nightmare getting a 2024. I only got my 2023 because someone backed out of their deal when it was in transit.
I didn't realize how poor I was until I started watching this. I think I'll just keep my 1SS and continue just slowly upgrading it myself. I agree with you on one thing though, if I'm gonna spend over 60K on a vehicle its gonna be on a truck.
GM: “we’re no longer gonna make the Camaro, the farewell package is only cosmetic and even though we’ve taken the LT4 and dropped in plenty of Cadillac vehicles with way more power we’re doing jack shit about it on the last ZL1s, also allocations? Get fucked, and we’re doing no marketing for the Camaro aside from letting people know we’re not making them anymore *Camaro sells tank yet again* GM:”wtf sales are shit!? Why doesn’t anyone buy a Camaro!? This is why we’re getting rid of it”
You're so right about sales. I saw all these people posting that article about sales up and i look at it and i'm thinking are you dumb? 9,000 in a quarter is 36,000 in a year. that's awful.
No surprise but I'm hearing all 50 Canadian units up here are gone, crazy money for not much ...nevermind the markups coming - great video Matt, sent you an email.- Mark
Also if you are going to get an AT4 I would recommend the AT4X. Its an amazing truck. I love everything about my truck. Especially the upgraded shocks it comes with and the interior specifically made for the AT4X. Its literally the Off-Road Denali
I checked with 4 SoCal Chevy dealers and no one had allocations. I have a ZL1, I wanted a CE. I would have pulled the trigger IF i could have gotten one at a reasonable price. To pay Corvette money to purchase a ZL1 is not in the plan. RIP ICE Camaro . . . . . . .
Absolutely NO to the Mustard yellow. To each their own, but the Bumblebee yellow and Shock yellow were both better than this gold-ish Grey Poupon "yellow"🤢🤢. I think you made the correct choice NOT paying 100k+ for a 6th Gen CE with stickers and badges...100% NOT worth it. Great video Matt! 👍😁👌. Side note...I have a 2020 Satin Steel Silverado Trail Boss(1500) with the 6.2 and love it so I am VERY confident you'll love the AT4!💪🙌😊
100k+ for the collectors. Might as well buy a regular zl1 and take it to Hennessy for 55k. Not only will you get Hennessy badging but you'll get more performance.
Hey Matt, I just spoke to an inventory Manager yesterday and he asserted that the allocation numbers you are sharing which he also shared with me are NOT for the entire year but rather current allocations available at that moment. 😁
Yea a flat yellow would be better, I feel the same way about red as well. But honestly I’d still get it for bumble bee purposes lmao Also I hate it for ppl who want a 1le cuz I know the feeling but it makes it feel so good having such a rare car. I literally hunted for months and got lucky in a allocation someone dropped I guess, found a dealer in a small town near my city with a river side blue 1le SS literally a week out from wen I put a deposit on it. MSRP as well
I was told by a Glendale, Ca dealer that they would mark it up $25,000.00. Thus, about $125,000.00. I called a dealership in Sacramento and they had a $50,000.00 mark up. I have a order in for a ZL1 no track package.
I went to my local dealer here in the Bay Area, California. They let me order a ZL1 1LE and had me do the credit application. But I’m not sure if that’s a guarantee I got the build approved
They discontinued Rapid Blue which was dumb in my opinion. I just bought a 2023 SS convertible in rapid blue in Indiana because they dont have any in IL sitting on any lots at all. The ones coming in transit are 3 to 6k over MSRP. I still got mine for supplier price. 2k off MSRP and 750 rebate. So saved almost 6k by going to Indiana!
Have you heard anything about the Garage 56 edition? Again just another sticker package but it does add the front dive planes. Plus the American flag decal on the scoop is so cool. Gotta love the Riptide Blue Metallic.
The prices make me sick. I have a 2011 with 132K on it and I REALLY wanted to go buy a new one this final year, but the prices are ridiculous. I just can't afford it. My wages certainly have not gone up to match car prices.
The sales are crap because no dealers have them to sell. In my area you do a internet search and closes SS is over 100 phucking miles away! I get tired of walking into a Chevy dealer and they have phucking nothing! They ask me if I want to order and tell them to phuck off! Luckily I already have my 17' SS 6 speed manual that I love and plan to keep. Over 64k miles now and still runs like new.✊😁
Ive watched your videos for years and years now and honestly I agree with you. Dont pay that money for a ZL1 when you could find a 2500 AT4 and keep building the SS because that truck can tow that car to the track and race it and have a daily driver, just my opinion thats all 🙏🏻
Just ordered a 1SS 6 speed, nitro yellow for my work car. I drive 120 miles round trip everyday. Have a turbo four with a six speed in wild Cherry now. I’ll be trading that in.
i was gna buy a 23 zl1 but maverick chevy tried to play me with rates. I put a deposit down on a 23 in transit at 7%. it came in and they upped the rate to 9% so i told em to fk off. shady dealers.
@@Mr405DJ haha its cool. i could still buy it but im not gonna give them business after upping the rate. i waited over a month for it to get to the dealer. oh well. fk it right. its just a car.
@@MakingItHappenMWC Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I am also looking for a ZL1 to purchase. I am not having trouble finding them, but trying to find them at a good price is what I am struggling with. I had 17 1SS 1LE and I got rid of it last year and I am missing it.
I bet that nitro yellow will look awesome in person! I love yellow, especially on a Camaro. My 2010 COPO Camaro is Rally yellow and it looks awesome!! My fist Camaro was a 1986 IROC Z28, it was a Canary yellow 💛💪👊
I don’t know how true the numbers are, I have friends with orders from last year that aren’t being fulfilled and they don’t even know if they will be built
Trying to upgrade to a 2024 Camaro 2SS (Riptide Blue) and man, it’s hard to find an allocation here in NE Florida. I have 2 orders in, after a week they are in 1100 status and I’m predicting it will be that way for a few months if not ever :(
Yeah, i'm near Jax and noticed the same thing. I suspect its better to travel outside the region than deal w/ some of these local clown dealers. I just keep having 2nd thoughts about paying msrp+ for a factory order on an 8 year old design. Might be worth talking to dealers in cold weather markets later this year when their sport car sales die off.
@@normcano5938 you can build a 2023 model, bring into any Chevrolet dealership and tell them you want to order a 2024. Idk if there will be a 2024 configurator or when it will be released. I’m 3rd on the list.
@@mikedaleiden7725 yep, 100%. Im able to get under MSRP but that’s because I negotiated that I’m not buying a Collectors Edition or a ZL1. Just a standard 2SS with 2 options, lol. I ordered at two dealerships and at the larger one Im 3rd in the list so we will see if I’m lucky or not. I don’t need the car so Ill wait until January if I have to.
I bought a ZL1 a month ago at MSRP of 76 K. Not 1LE but regular ZL1 with some extras. Someone ordered it but can not pay for it. Just arrived to dealer , one look , love at first sight and done. I was there to order Corvette. More happy actually. More daily driving car then corvette. Waiting for ordering Corvette was 1.5-2 years and 3-6 months for Camaro. More or less same waiting period at different dealers . For god sate. Just drive it. Just focus on enjoyment of driving experience. Leave the other sh…. alone. What a surprise. I love this car. It is animal. Seems you can buy at at MSRP now. Problem is waiting for it. Just be patient. 2-3 years people will beg you to sell it to them. V8 is dying now. Get a one. If you are serious driver
Yup - GM dealers gouging - nothing new. In May of 2022 I bought a used blue 2019 ZL1 convertible from a Chevy dealer in St. Peters, MO with only 1333 miles on it so it wasn't even broken in yet. I got it for $69,900 USD - a few thousand over the sticker when new. (I couldn't find a new one or order one as there were no production slots for a ZL1 at that time because of the chip shortage.) The first dealership I went to an hour away had a 2019 shock yellow ZL1 convertible for sale but it was already sold when I got there to look at it. The dealership had it listed for $90,000 with almost 9000 miles on it - and some sucker from another state paid that for it over the phone sight unseen. The guy obviously had too much money and not enough brains. GM is being greedy and stupid and they're going to put themselves right out of business if they're not careful.
I asked the dealer that I used to buy my last two ZL1s if they had an allocation, but I had to basically harass them for a month until they finally admitted that they can't even get an allocation for ANY Camaro, much less a ZL1. I tried another dealer closer to me that is a high-volume seller, but they said so far, they've only had a single allocation for a Camaro, and they used that for an SS for a previous customer. They said they'd place me next on the list, but I'm not optimistic that I'll be able to order my last ZL1. I still have my 2021 ZL1 with only 9500 miles, so I'm still happy with it.
"Sticker package" lol yeah I feel you I think it sucks for a collectors edition. Would of loved to see a big power increase and maybe a special body kit. I just don't see 100k worth of product. The color is nice but honestly you could wrap your car that color 😮
GM also shouldn't be discontinuing colors before the end of a model year. My Camaro SS 1LE was totaled. I ordered a 2023 ZL1 in Shadow Gray in late April, but they discontinued that color for the 2023 Camaros early May, so my order was never accepted. So the only options now are overpriced used models or a 2024 ZL1 with a 5k higher MSRP, followong the 2023 MSRP increase! Not cool Looking into a 2024 Tacoma
I tried getting a 23 but the dealership couldn't get a response on any of the cars they inquired about so I put a order in for a 24 2ss but am waiting on an allocation for the order to move forward
In my opinion the reason why you can’t find anything but a base model is because of the EPA and the government. I’ve got some different builds into my local dealership and while I was there the dealer explained to me how the government regulates manufacturers selling v8s. Pretty much they told me they have to sell so many 4 and 6 cylinders to be able to sell v8s. Just a speculation though.
I feel like you. I stopped holding my breath on a 2024 allocation. I think the Z28 will get a higher return on investment than a collector ZL1 and the investment is less up front
I thought 2022 -23 was the last year . No idea they still made Camaros . I was bummed i didnt have the money to buy an LT1 pre covid when they were giving them away now that covid tax has made all cars nearly double in AVG price . Camaro sales are crap ? No shit , they have been for ever and been on death bed for sometime . If needed a car i might look for a 4cyl camaro as i cant imagine anybody is buying them and probably get one cheaper then a 1.6 hyundai with some options . I would get a MT 4 cyl , probably with options for near nothing from dealer stuck paying interest on car NOBODY WANTS and just use it as cheap transportation . I could be wrong but I reckon the 4cyl is tremendous value as strictly transportation right now and one of the few cars you might find with a MT . Mustang has a real 4cyl but only 10spd now and they will have covid tax pricing for new models . A regular 5.0 convert is 66k or more MSRP with options . 66k for regular 5.0 with extra chassis flex .MT 4cyl camaro make a great non soul crushing commuter / grocery getter . They supposedly ok on badk roads too .
Missed out on getting a '23 ordered because GM was sooo tight-lipped about the '24 CEs, I waited too long and May was just too late to get the order in, so I'm paying $2400 more for the same car and I can't get the Shadow gray I wanted. My '24 order did get picked up and it looks like the original TPW has been moved from the first week to the last week of August, if your screenshot is accurate. The order is a Radiant red 2SS 1LE, for MSRP. I used to work at the dealer I'm buying from.
I was at CamaroFest and the color looks better in person but personally I wouldn't get that color. It reminded me of the Gold Rush paint Dodge put on the Chargers and Challengers recently.
So 12 weeks ago I got allocation for a ZL1 1LE but haven’t heard anything since. They said it would most likely take 6 months to get built. So October hopefully. They are only marking it up 5k to 84k total price. Still paying anything over MSRP sucks and the waiting is worse.
Theres a SS at my local dealership that ive been keeping my eye on its been sitting on their showroom for 3 months now because they refuse to remove their 10k mark up. Not paying 10k over sticker for an automatic.
I have a 2023 ZL1-1LE, I'm trying to find out how many were actually made with all of the issues they had, does anyone know where I could find that info ? thanks.
I did get an allocation for the Collectors Edition ZL1, and they did a markup of $10k. Yes I feel like an idiot for paying it, but I also wanted the car. Hopefully it will hold value. If I can drive it for 6 months to a year and get out of it close to purchase price, it’s a win. But then again, it will likely plummet in value
Ordered a 23 2SS back in first week of March. Order has not been accepted. As you know 23 production ends August 3rd with 24s starting the 7th. Thoughts of possibly moving to a 24 at this point?
Gm constantly shooting themselves in the foot. Corvettes Camaros caddy and nothing is out there to buy. Now going to look at selling my 2022 Zl1 and going to another manufacturer .
I have a 2018 SS 1LE manual. I've always thought the "special edition" Camaros such as the 50th Anniversary models, in particular the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition, were a joke. Nothing but Chevy fooling the foolish into thinking they have something special. What they are doing now is just more of the same. Ford, on the other hand, is just killing it with the new Mustang. The Dark Horse and the GTD are examples of what special edition models should be. Same goes for the gen V Z/28 - that is a very special car (matched technically by the gen VI SS 1LE and surpassed by the ZL1 1LE) but worthy of being a valuable future classic.
Been trying for the last 2 years to get an allocation up in Canada, but none were available. Preorders took the only 2 to 3 per dealership that were given. This time I made sure my order went in as soon as they opened.
You do know that value can be presented by quantity available. In my option 1 of 350 "in the world" will hold more value than any of the prior camaros. I bet one goes for 250k at Barret Jackson by 2026. Oh, I'm paying 50k over for ZL1 CE and out of all the top chevy dealers in ever state I talked too many were putting a 100k over stamp on it or the GM/Owner were keeping the allocation for themself. Anyways, I've been a proud Cam owner for 30+ years so to be 1 of only 350 "world" and the last of the combustion camaro...I have no shame or regret.
GM just sucks, why not go out with a bang on the ZL1 and give it 750-800 horse !! Then I would consider buying one and sell my 2019 ZL1 vert if the price was reasonable and I think lots of ZL1 owners would've done the same the I would've seen the sales numbers. But GM marketing and development suck and that's why they lost !
Camaro sales are bad because of GM ,I am 8 months into waiting for my 2SS 1LE ,I ordered a 2023 with no luck ,the dealer lied and said they had an allocation wen they didn't, So wen 2024 ordering opened I ordered 5 1LEs from 5 different dealers and luckily one if the 5 got an allocation and my car is in transit .If people were able to order a car sales would've been much better, poor sales is gms fault

@@bryanme5771 Not yet, but that is next on the list. Supposed to be a decent dealer, and they definitely seem to be the go to for Corvettes
Well said my friend. Glad I got my 2023 2SS1LE 6 spd manual, in Rapid Blue. The car is perfection!
The current GM ceo has done a stellar job of running the brand into the ground
GM have no car guys in front of any division. The very last was Bob Lutz. This is not the apropiate way to end the production of a great car. 🤬
GM doesn't even have a car person leading GM!
70’s piss yellow lol.
Why did you sell it?
The 6th gen don't offer enough in size , space , options , colors , or performance to compete with other cars . They don't have chance to outsell the competition .
You think that's bad. I sold my 4k mile 2015 Z/28 a couple of years ago. I'm banging my head on my desk right now thinking about it.
@@genokearney why did you sell it?
@@ChrisMenendez609 So I could buy another Camaro.
I’d be happy with a 2024 1SS or 2SS convertible. I’d even go for a 2023 1SS/2SS convertible.
Very sad! 😢
I built the engines in the black wing! Very cool car.
Put my order in Aug 2022 Zl1 1LE, it arrived May 2023 very lucky to get one at MSRP. Funny the dealership had an actual waiting list for my car if I didn’t want it. It’s a complete shame GM is letting this icon die on the vine.
I know that color! It's baby shit yellow.
Showing up with posters, classy and wtg GM. Final year and they let it go with a low whimper. Disappointing.
I got lucky picked up my red hot 2SS 1LE today took about 3 months for my build
"Budget constraints" aka GM does not give a shit about the Camaro.
I dig the Nitro yellow. I'm glad I got my hands on a 2023 2SS1LE 6speed manual Sharkskin Metallic
I knew it was going to be a nightmare getting a 2024.
That’s gold, not yellow🤮
That nitro yellow with the metallic looks like mustard or gold.
GM: “we’re no longer gonna make the Camaro, the farewell package is only cosmetic and even though we’ve taken the LT4 and dropped in plenty of Cadillac vehicles with way more power we’re doing jack shit about it on the last ZL1s, also allocations? Get fucked, and we’re doing no marketing for the Camaro aside from letting people know we’re not making them anymore
*Camaro sells tank yet again*
GM:”wtf sales are shit!? Why doesn’t anyone buy a Camaro!? This is why we’re getting rid of it”
You're so right about sales. I saw all these people posting that article about sales up and i look at it and i'm thinking are you dumb? 9,000 in a quarter is 36,000 in a year. that's awful.
Good thing I got my 2023 1SS/1LE Camaro before prices go up 😁
No surprise but I'm hearing all 50 Canadian units up here are gone, crazy money for not much ...nevermind the markups coming - great video Matt, sent you an email.- Mark
I bought all 5 , wasn't 50......
My thinking too Matt. No way I would pay that type of money either. Many, many thanks.
Also if you are going to get an AT4 I would recommend the AT4X. Its an amazing truck. I love everything about my truck. Especially the upgraded shocks it comes with and the interior specifically made for the AT4X. Its literally the Off-Road Denali
I own the 21 AT4 with the baby duramax and love it!
👍😁👌. Side note...I have a 2020 Satin Steel Silverado Trail Boss(1500) with the 6.2 and love it so I am VERY confident you'll love the AT4!💪🙌😊
Boom, mustard yellow. That’s why I don’t like it. Couldn’t figure why but looked poopy yellow/greenish in some photos
@@Gardian_915 Agree! I have NO clue why GM thought this color was remotely good!??🤮🤢
@@mikeburley7288I’ve seen this colour on a new ZR2 Colorado and it’s amazing! You guys must be old.
Does this mean allocations should increase in the fall?
100K plus for a sticker package is just ridiculous. You did the right thing by moving forward to something else.
It’s ridiculously what dealers do it’s disgusting
Yea a flat yellow would be better, I feel the same way about red as well. But honestly I’d still get it for bumble bee purposes lmao
Also I hate it for ppl who want a 1le cuz I know the feeling but it makes it feel so good having such a rare car.
Insane
@@Lethalgarage My order for a 2024 ZL1 is about 90k.
@@bobbrown5710where were you able to build it?
@@normcano5938 yes. The order is in but hasn’t been accepted yet by Chevy.
I went to my local dealer here in the Bay Area, California. They let me order a ZL1 1LE and had me do the credit application. But I’m not sure if that’s a guarantee I got the build approved
They have to get the allocation
I got confirmation that my 2SS convertible is now scheduled to be built. Can’t wait!
I got the call yesterday for my 2ss too!
I finally found an allocation at a dealer sorta near me...about to drop the order for a ZL1 at MSRP
Over 64k miles now and still runs like new.✊😁
Ive watched your videos for years
and years now
and honestly I agree with you.
Dont pay that money for a ZL1 when you could find a 2500 AT4 and keep building the SS because that truck can tow that car to the track and race it and have a daily driver, just my opinion thats all 🙏🏻
I have a 2019 GMC AT4!! It is awesome, bro! You should Definitely, get yourself one my man!!! Long time fan of your channel, keep it up! 👊

i was gna buy a 23 zl1 but maverick chevy tried to play me with rates. I put a deposit down on a 23 in transit at 7%. it came in and they upped the rate to 9% so i told em to fk off. shady dealers.
I would go to your bank or a credit union and get an interest rate from them and take that to the dealership. Those rates tend to be lower.

Yellow?? Lame!
Trying to upgrade to a 2024 Camaro 2SS (Riptide Blue) and man, it’s hard to find an allocation here in NE Florida. I have 2 orders in, after a week they are in 1100 status and I’m predicting it will be that way for a few months if not ever :(
How and where were you able to build it online?
Yeah, i'm near Jax and noticed the same thing. I suspect its better to travel outside the region than deal w/ some of these local clown dealers. I just keep having 2nd thoughts about paying msrp+ for a factory order on an 8 year old design. Might be worth talking to dealers in cold weather markets later this year when their sport car sales die off.
@@normcano5938 you can build a 2023 model, bring into any Chevrolet dealership and tell them you want to order a 2024. Idk if there will be a 2024 configurator or when it will be released.

@@mikedaleiden7725 yep, 100%. Im able to get under MSRP but that’s because I negotiated that I’m not buying a Collectors Edition or a ZL1. Just a standard 2SS with 2 options, lol.

$100-110k is kinda crazy. Lots of options out there in tht price Roge.
Not cool
Looking into a 2024 Tacoma
Replaced your Camaro with a Tacoma? Ahhh okay??
I tried getting a 23 but the dealership couldn't get a response on any of the cars they inquired about so I put a order in for a 24 2ss but am waiting on an allocation for the order to move forward
In my opinion the reason why you can’t find anything but a base model is because of the EPA and the government. I’ve got some different builds into my local dealership and while I was there the dealer explained to me how the government regulates manufacturers selling v8s. Pretty much they told me they have to sell so many 4 and 6 cylinders to be able to sell v8s. Just a speculation though.
I don’t get how sales are down when these cars are barely produced
I feel like you. I stopped holding my breath on a 2024 allocation.
I think the Z28 will get a higher return on investment than a collector ZL1 and the investment is less up front
I did the same thing as you once I saw the collector edition prices. Canceled my order and got a z71 suburban that was in transit to the dealer.
What dealer did you cancel your ce from? Im trying to get one
The 2014 Z28 and the greatest Camaro ever built, the ZLE, will be the ones sought after for the last 2 Gens. Bet on that.
These are amazing cars, really don’t like the yellow
gm needs all the camaro money to buy lithium and make batteries
I agree with your thoughts on the 2014 Z. Glad I lucked into a 23 ZL1 late last year!
GM the biggest pimps selling you the same cars but dressing them up differently😐
I've seen Nitro Yellow on a new blazer, and while I like yellow/black generally speaking, Nitro Yellow is a very bronze like brown and quite dark.
Maybe they’ll bring the firebird back for a while
Mustard yellow with flake in it
The flake makes it look a little more goldish.
Yep. We want a 3200lb track focused car.

I have a 2023 ZL1-1LE, I'm trying to find out how many were actually made with all of the issues they had, does anyone know where I could find that info ? thanks.
They need to make 70s style Camaros
I did get an allocation for the Collectors Edition ZL1, and they did a markup of $10k. Yes I feel like an idiot for paying it, but I also wanted the car. Hopefully it will hold value. If I can drive it for 6 months to a year and get out of it close to purchase price, it’s a win. But then again, it will likely plummet in value
Nitro yellow I was think it was gonna be something like highlighter yellow. Nice color for show but idk if I'd drive one that color
Didn’t get a collectors edition but did order a 2024 ZL1 black/black 6 speed convertible. Order accepted by GM.
I walked into a dealership in Michigan and ordered a zl1. It was late march. I got my car early June. I didn't get marked up and I'm happy
Not just different color stitching and optional badging and a different hood scoop. Just make a Corvette killer and it will sell a lot of cars
Nobody can afford these cars.
