    Hello
Iam following you from last 6 years humna...
Humna you make it very easy to understand certain things which otherwise seems a little hazzy.
And I've now started watching dear sister series, so as iam the only child, everything is always already done for me, but Alhumdulillah I've gained enough confidence by doing things when my parents aren't around but now iam going ahead by taking steps eevn when they are around like for suppose I now call the waiter on my own all by myself 😂I know it seems funny but for me it's something...

Just started the podcast and found out that Yusra has left. I'm already missing her presence, perspective and insight on things.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a culture where people are encouraged to ask questions. This really effects ones confidence. Sometimes over parenting can be a hurdle too. In this Japanese women are good example where they are able to keep their culture at the same time they encourage their women to travel alone or go for studies abroad. It is quiet interesting to see how we are not comfortable saying phrases like I am sorry , I love you , or I miss you , or I am tired in Urdu language. Is it because of cultural barriers where in Pakistani culture we consider these phrases unacceptable or cheap . Just a thought. It is also because we see sympathy but not empathy in our culture. When one emphasize with someone than that person is willing to give solutions as to how one can come out of difficult situations . When a person sympathizes then they will say oh when we were young , we were able to handle all situations. This is not helpful. One show on how women can build more support systems by going to gym, making time with friends , self care . We dont have to be super woman and perfect. Most important we need to be physically, emotionally, mentally, financially strong as women.
