This was absolutely beautiful! I am in tears, I have seen vultures (-“at least a pair) everywhere for a month now. Within the past week I have seen a flock of vultures in my neighborhood. I am actually shifting in my career and going though a rough patch in a relationship. I wonder if this totem is telling me to release it...

I started see vultures everyday after one of my good friends passed away. So now I associate them with him. ❤️ The way that described the appearance of the vulture vs the actual nature of the vulture, is describing him. Thank you for this video.

Enjoyed your videos. Definitely the vulture is my totem animal. I see the vulture everywhere, to warn me, to prepare me for a blessing. I was always called morbid because of my obsession with the dead. I can sense when loved ones will die. Even get dreams and visions from the deceased 😊

Thank you, Jordana, for your wisdom and advice. Turkey vulture and red-tailed hawk are two of my totems, and I sometimes have a hard time understanding how to incorporate these two energies into my own spiritual path. Understanding that you also have traveled with these two amazing but intense totems, and that I can glean some wise council from you about how to approach this, has truly helped me out. Thanks again and I wish you continued success in all of your ventures. 😊

Thank you Jordana for this insightful video... I had an extraordinary experience yesterday with a Turkey Vulture where I was witness to her last breath. I am deeply touched and moved by this glorious bird and want to do what ever I can to heed her message for me and honor her spirit forever. The “letting go” and purification you speak of is deeply meaningful for me in this phase of my life. On an intuitive level, I felt as though she was giving her life for me so that I might find my own strength to live fully through her gifts. She looked into my eyes and tried to vocalize as she was dying. Thank you again for your insights.

Well, I saw a total of 18 vultures. They seemed to follow my car all the way home two and a half hours away. Soon as I got closer to my twin flame whom broke up with me due to us both mirroring the worst sides of each other and it makes sense. I always thought they were hawks until I saw seven swirling over me while parked in a parking lot. This makes so much sense.

I have always been awe struck by vultures. I love how they spread they dew covered wings in the morning sun to bathe. I spend a lot of time watching them in the sky. Hawk is my totem and it is difficult to determine what you are seeing in the sky until they get close enough to see their wings. I so much love the feather covered wings in our sky.

I always love watching the vultures, too - we get huge flocks of them drifting slowly over our neighborhood here, and it's always a beautiful sight 💗. We all have more than one totem (usually at least a handful), so perhaps Vulture is also one of your totems. It's not uncommon for folks with one bird totem to have more than one (Red-Tailed Hawk and Raven are both mine). Have a beautiful day! -J

I’ve noticed whenever I reflect on my life and ponder my mental health, I usually see a vulture. I always thought they were majestic creatures and I usually pause to admire them more than other animals. I never get any negative vibes from them and usually get positive vibes. If I get reincarnated as an animal, a vulture is usually in my top 3 desired animals.

Wow, so vultures come cleanse the space after death has occurred or after something has ended. I like. I was scared it was an ominous omen when I saw two vultures last night on my way to my boyfriend's house. One high in a tree and the other beneath it on the ground.
.... omg this was soo spot on. Such a powerful message. I understand so clearly now. The universe is amazing.

I just saw a Vulture yesterday. I am staying in a hotel in Austin and I had the window open. I heard this noise of something large rustling in the trees. My dog also heard it and she kept looking out the window. This made me more curious. So I look and there it is a Large Bird which o thought was a hawk. I was amazed at seeing it just sit on the fence. I pulled out my phone and started recording it through the screen. At this time I believe I was playing positive affirmations or cleansing chakra music. I noticed it kept fiddling with it's left wing. It then did what I considered as fall off the fence into the plant filled area bellow it. I called a rescue organization to tell them what I saw and was advised to call animal control and have them bring it to them. I went out to take a look because I didn't want to waist anyone's time. So I go out the back and realize due to my recent knee surgery I couldn't get down the stairs so this guy went to go look and as soon as he got there it flew up and over into the pastor. He said it was ok and also let me know it was a vulture. I still don't think so I make it around to the back finally by going the long way and I didn't see it. I've been concerned about it sense. I also felt immediately that I should have gone to check on it myself before I sent someone else. I looked up yesterday what it meant Spiritually to see one. I googled what type of vultures would be in Austin Texas and it said Turkey Vulture. My story is long I'm a detailed story teller for those with little patience I say to you ask the Universe for more patience.
I've had some unique experiences in life with with animals and spiritual encounters. It was an amazing experience that left me wondering about the animal's health and why it blessed me see it and record it. 💚

I was working in my home office and 3 turkey vultures perched on my roof this afternoon. They flew so close, their wings beat the window! I went outside and I was just in awe. I took a pic of them and the caption could have been, "We need to talk...." :) Thank you for this video. Vulture totem and spirit via the actual birds made a "house call" today. I feel targeted, literally. :) Again, thanks for the video!

I stumbled across this video after having a half lucid dream this morning with no story in which I heard a woodpecker tapping away and the sight of a large black bird that my mind at the time instantly clicked on Turkey Vulture as identification. Having no clue where it came from, I can only believe it is my spirit animal for this time where a major change is about to take place. I got the whole Death of the old parts of me, where woodpecker shows opportunity? Thank you for this video of such an unthought of bird!

Loved this one! Teaches us not to blindly judge or condemn someone based on prejudices or choices of another that we don't understand.
As a Zoroastrian, it is in our faith to offer the corpse to nature as a gift back. In ancient Persia, the corpse was left open in the desert for birds and animals of prey. Since our prayers help the soul to dissociate from its lower bodies, the soul looks to the Light. In cities, we have the well of death, and bodies are laid there for vultures to clear. Whatever remains, is dissolved in the pit using acid.
Sadly, vultures have now disappeared from cities so we use solar panels to reduce bodies to ash.
I loved seeing the vulture in a new light in the video. I've always found them intuitive and intelligent.

    I oddly embody vulture.
My job deals with death, in a research sense. Transformation of death. I have a morbid fixation to boot and truly relish my work. A lot of my esoteric study draws me to a mix of psychopomp studies, death, and its transformations. Even at home in my hobbies I have multiple composting areas for my gardens. I also have a hobby of natural medicine and generally cure or heal myself and my animals before I need a doctor.
Also I am bald and a sturdy build to so.
The more I watch this the more I realize it's way more than what I thought...

I live on the 10th floor in a high-rise and I see them from my large window when I'm feeling depressed. I often see just one at first and then several more join it. Such a beautiful sight. I also have seen a baby barn owl while on a walk and a dragonfly sat on the antenna of the car next to me. While meditating also a tiny baby praying mantis refused to leave my pant leg. I gently removed him but he came back twice lol. I'm going to see if you have a video on each of these. Thank you so much it resonated with me. Fun fact about me: I have maladaptive daydreams where I am the God of death and rebirth. People fear me in this daydream and they don't realize that life and death are just transitions and each soul incarnates here on earth to learn valuable lessons contributing to soul growth. I know, its/I'm weird lol.

Hi Jordana, sometimes when I’m listening to u tube videos and I’m walking outside a dozen or more turkey vultures will fly all around me and over me. Sometimes it’s only one or two. Do you think that it’s a message about the video I’m listening to? The reason I ask is because I saved an article about turkey vulture and it said the Turkey vulture comes to you to get you to pay attention to your surroundings and some people in your life don’t deserve your attention. I understand sometimes it has to do with the people in my actual life because I have narcissist around me, but I also wondered if it had something to do with some of the videos I’m listening too. Just a thought sorry for the long question! 😁 thank you for all your videos.

Apparently, Vulture would not be denied its place in the sun yesterday. They seemed rather insistent.
Yesterday was a lot like when I last saw the hawks: cold, with the electric-grey clouds and a similar charge in the air. It felt more like an autumn day than a winter one. The lone vultures that soared overhead seemed much starker in their contrasts against the sky. Darker. Larger.
What really caught my attention is when I went to leave work for the day. My car door was refusing to unlock (I miss the good ol' days of using keys, before all this push-button crap), and I saw another lone vulture flying overhead. I watched him for a bit, thanked him for his company, then looked down.
I gasped. The unbroken cloud-cover turned my windows into perfect silver mirrors, and there was a gang of vultures doing lazy circles in the sky behind me. I think it was the starkness of their silhouette, as well as their number, that startled me. I counted five. I watched them until they flew off. Like the hawks, they stayed long enough to be seen, but didn't linger.
When I finally got on the road, one more vulture glided by, as if to say "hey, you DID see us, right?"
Yes, I did see you. Kinda hard to ignore.

Daniel, this was such a lovely read...like a perfect vignette in a volume of such stories. On a related side-note that I know you will understand, few birds illustrate so clearly as vulture that the beautiful and the macabre are not mutually exclusive; turkey vultures are not especially attractive up close, nor are their feeding habits...and yet in flight, oh, they are breathtaking then! Too, in everyone's life lately, the Universe is taking more active steps to make sure that we see what we need to see (Thank you, Chiron, she says with *heavy* sarcasm. Lol!!). In your case, it's through technology...considering that one of the alternatives is weird health issues, I think you lucked out here! :) Wishing you MANY more such gorgeous experiences, and such lovely literary expressions of them! Hugs and blessings and fair winds always

@@RavenLightHolisticHealing You're kind for saying so about my writing. Most of the time, I don't think much of it. But, sometimes, I think "yeah, that WAS pretty good...."
I find it interesting that lately I see these things when the sky and wind are just so.
I've had the opportunity to see a turkey vulture up-close before, years back. I was on a walk when one decided to land on the road in front of me. I remember being surprised how big it was. I'd compare it to a medium or large-sized dog. It did something similar a couple times at home after that.
It is funny how beauty and the macabre can be intertwined, like in crystal skulls or memento mori coins. I guess its beauty is the punctuation it places on life. Every story requires an end, and I think you've said before it gives life a meaning, helps us to value it.
I'm not sure I got away scot-free on the weird health issues, though. My gut had a surprising reaction to a bit of over-eating with cake and hot dogs. Took a couple days to recover from that. I'd have no trouble believing the two things were working in tandem. I'm certain my level of obliviousness could put yours to shame.
I've found meditating on the letting it go concept you mentioned here helpful for that issue. I realized how much I was tightening my gut, and other parts, like my shoulders and jaw. It's like un-learning a reflex. The process is on-going.
Thank you for the well-wishes. I hope to continue to see these things. Though today has been a day of sound, rather than sight. Heard a red-tail hawk scream at work. A cat yowling woke me up from a nap--sounded like it got into a fight with something.
I wish you fair winds, warmth, and safety from the second wave of winter storms coming in. May it miss you completely!
      -D

Just sending an extra bunch of well-wishes your way today, Daniel, and wishing you continued fortitude and patience with the "unlearning" process (which I am experiencing to a considerable degree as well!). @ReticentSparrow 5 років тому

@@RavenLightHolisticHealing Thank you for your kindness. I need all the well-wishings and blessings I can stand. It's always lovely to hear from you!
For the boon you have given me, I have another small Vulture story for you, and some recent musings:
A couple days ago, I felt suddenly ill. Headache/eyes hurt, body sensitivity cranked up to 11, and consuming anything was a questionable endeavor. And I couldn't get warm, no matter what I did. Work was hell.
After I got back to the house, I watched a couple turkey vultures doing their lazy circles in the sky from the safety of my car interior. After they flew out of sight, I got out. The air, maybe a gust of wind, hit me in such a way I threw on my jacket, and I looked up.
Eight lovely Vultures were circling directly over my car.
Your words of "celestial shark" came to mind.
So, I had two reactions: "Hey, Death, don't take me," and "Hey, guys: if you're willing to help with this sickness thing and purge some stuff, that's cool."
Next day, I felt about 80% better, and a bit of a shift. I didn't have any...involuntary elimination that sickness tends to bring on, but I did feel somehow refreshed, and like something had been purged. Maybe it was a sweat-lodge effect. I did wake up in a slight sweat.
I'm at ~85-90% now. Keep waking up earlier than I expect to, and waking up parched. A can of soda I used to indulge in a lot as a child sours my gut now.
The musings are multi-faceted, and I see them as related to Vulture.
The first has to do with illness itself, and how it puts us into a kind of stasis. Instilling gratitude for times of wellness, as corny as that sounds, and echoing something you've said before: sometimes you just need to hunker down. Somehow, not eating feels like the key. So, I'm left to wonder: what have I been idly consuming in my life that's doing me no good? Or do I just need to consume less in general? I haven't determined the answer yet.
The second has to do with some resentment I was feeling toward some individuals. It was a major motivator for my wanting to leave where I am. After spending time with some of them, I don't feel that anymore. It's like...I see them more as people than as my adversaries, and they're tackling life just as much as I am.
I don't need to hate them to leave. I don't need to stay because I don't hate them. It's that frustrating Dorothy Gale situation of realizing you had the means to go home the entire time. When I leave, it won't be out of anger. It'll be because it was the best choice for me. In the meantime, I'll enjoy whatever time I get with them, and try to be mindful to not be overly dependent upon them. And those I can't get along with I'll simply dismiss.
To shamelessly re-purpose an old line: when I leave, I'll shake the resentment and dust from my feet. I'll start with the resentment now.
The third musing is from vulture's soaring, and something I read about personal radiance (i.e.: my actions influence the world, and others' actions influence me). I tend to dismiss the concept, except when I don't. Like now.
I've reflected a bit on my resentment, and realize a core component of it is I've allowed others to influence me away from what I value. It's not through malice on their part. Our views on things simply don't coincide.
I'm reminded of Vulture's soaring, and how Vulture must pick the right thermals in order to float as it does. I must do the same, and surround myself with like-minded people and situations. Otherwise, I'll be flapping my wings and wasting vital resources getting nowhere.
It seems kind of like going the path of least-resistance, and standing that on its head by selecting what that path is, if that makes any sense. The question is how to tell the difference, and how to use them. As I'm sure you're aware: knowing, and being able to act upon that knowledge, are two different things.
Now if we could just figure out the mercurial temperament of my phone. It's gone on to do something else that, when I describe it to repair technicians, their first response is: "Yeah, I have absolutely no idea what's causing that" or "...I've never heard that issue before!"
Giving you happy vibes and hugs of my own,
      -D

More than once, I've seen a physically beautiful person do or say something dumb or mean-spirited, and that shatters any illusion of attractiveness.
A lone turkey vulture has taken an interest in the area around the house. Out of season, by himself, no visible carrion and outside of their usual area. Don't know if he's got anything to say, but he's kind of hard to ignore. I stop to watch whenever I see him.

The Obituary Writers... My husband worked in a graveyard as a gardener (he is not a vulture person) and one day I went to pick him up. As I was early, I took some time to wonder around this graveyard. And to my astonishment I noticed that quite a lot of the messages on the head stones were spelt Incorrectly! And I mean, BIG blunders of Grammatical error! And I thought... A school teacher would not rest easily here!

And it makes me quite glad I've already planned to be cremated, as my retired English teacher's soul would most certainly not rest easy beneath a misspelled headstone! (Nor, it might be added, would the moron who spelled words incorrectly on my tombstone. I would be haunting him for sure!). LOLLOLLOL!! Thank you for the giggle!!!!! :-) :-) :-)

Just something I saw on Facebook from The Gloo Factory: heart-shaped vulture stickers featuring turkey and black vultures.
The person who did the artwork called them "goth chickens," which gave me a chuckle. Something about raising money for VulPro to help save endangered vultures in Africa. Might be worth a look.

for a couple of days a turkey vulture been flying around my house and I seen two of them in my back yard I was wondering if it was because I took a spiritual bath for like 8 days can you explain to me why and does it mean something good

    • @RavenLightHolisticHealing
      @RavenLightHolisticHealing  8 років тому +1

Hi, Autumn! Seeing an animal in this fashion after doing something that is focused on improving our spiritual lives tends to mean that we are "on the right track", so to speak, and you could look at Vulture as showing you what you can do to continue developing your spiritual self. Messages are rarely "bad"; rather, they show us what to do to be happier. I don't do personal interpretations of people's animal experiences here on UA-cam, but you are welcome to schedule a formal session with me. I would be delighted to work with you. If this resonates with you, you can do so by visiting my website, www.ravenlightholistichealing.com. And if not, no worries at all! It simply means that further guidance is intended to come to your through a channel other than myself, perhaps simply your own heart

I feel a connection with the red tailed hawk Raven and crow as they often visit and they both gave me feathers however I'm often surrounded by pidgins (they also leave behind feathers but I don't pick them up because I don't feel I should or want to) and I've been visited by Turkey vultures (one of which left me a feather) and I've received some feathers from a robin as well. What's going on here? +Jordana Van

Hi, Vincent! This is the sort of situation that I only address in a private session, as it would involve a more personal interpretation of exactly what each of these birds represents for you. If this resonates with you, you are welcome to schedule a session with me by visiting my website, www.ravenlightholistichealing.com. That being said, with so many bird messengers leaving you feathers, you may wish to consider the signifcance of *feathers* in general, and ask yourself what they represent for you. It may not be about the specific bird, but the gift itself. Warmest blessings to you, and have a beautiful weekend! Jordana

Jazzy whitehouse Jazzy, you LITERALLY read my mind... or I read yours! LOL! On Friday, I was trying to find one of your old messages so that I could ask you how you were doing, but my Gmail account just doesn't go back that far. I'm actually doing a video on Butterfly soon, so I'll just give you the short answer here: Butterfly usually means transformation into a happier, freer individual. it also reminds us to look for things that make us joyful, and not to take life too seriously. The black/white would suggest to me that the upcoming transformation has to do with becoming more balanced. If you can't figure out how to message me through Gmail, just send me an e-mail. I'd like to hear how you are doing. It's jordanavan@ravenlightholistichealing.com Much love!
