  • The sacrifice of the 110th Regiment and the Combat Command Reserve from the 9th Armoured Division, which fought fiercely on the roads to Bastogne, slowing the German panzer columns, enabled the arrival of American reinforcements in Bastogne. By December 19th, the 101st Airborne Division and elements of the 10th Armoured Division had arrived. Armour immediately went to nearby villages to stop the German advance while the paratroopers formed an all-around perimeter around Bastogne. Two days later, the Germans bypassed the town, and The Siege of Bastogne began.

My first time seeing the reply to the German surrender offer, was in the old comic The Haunted Tank.

The aircraft shown at frame 20:08 is a NAA B-25 Mitchel, B-25's were not used by the USAAC in the ETO. This is a film most likely from the Mediterranean. Also the insignia with the big blue ball with a big star is from 1942. Other than that a very good video!

the only reason patton could attack north was because the french 2nd armoured had previously captured the moselle crossings and held them. mcauliffe did not say nuts he told them to fuck off -it was censored
