This hexagon card tutorial provides the perfect space for notes, gift cards small trinkets. Don't miss today's pocket card project sheet below which includes a template.
At first glance, this twisted card may look confusing but it's simply a series of score lines that come together to create this hexagon card shape. Follow along with a scratch piece of paper during today's video and the template and I'm confident you can create it.

Just made this awesome card, then constructed an easel stand for display, where the card tucks into a pocket in front of the easel.
For anyone interested in making the stand, I'll try my best to explain. Start with a strip of 3 x 10 1/4 cardstock, scored on the long side at 3/4, 4, 7 1/4, 8 1/4, and 9 1/4. Fold from the left (starting at the 3/4" score) as valley, mountain, mountain, valley, mountain. Lay the strip horizontally on your work surface, with the 3/4" section on the left. The leftmost fold will be a valley fold. The strip will have 6 sections of the following sizes (left to right): 3/4", 3 1/4", 3 1/4", 1", 1" and 1."
To make the pocket, start on the valley fold between the first two sections. Add a thin line of strong glue (or 1/4" sticky strip) to the two outside edges (top/bottom) of the first (3/4") section. (DO NOT put any adhesive along the 3" side of this section, or you will close the pocket!) Fold the glued section to the right, adhering to the adjacent (3 1/4") section. Press on the glued areas to make sure there is a good bond.
To make the easel, flip the strip over, keeping it horizontal. Accordion fold the last three (1") sections so that they lay on top of the second 3 1/4" section. The paper will fold easily due to the mountain/valley folds made earlier. (Note: The accordion-folded sections will align with the right-edge of the second 3 1/4" section). Place glue on top of the last 1" section, then fold the strip to the right (on the fold between the two large sections). Press firmly. The easel will look like a large inverted (upside down) V with a small inverted V at the bottom.

Am I the only one that sees the possibility of transforming this into a dreidel? It might be mostly the paper on the first, as the second one seems more like a center patch of a quilt.
