Never has there been a hiking/camping Channel, that's so real/authentic, calming, and enlightening...as this one.
I live that you not showy or play to the camera. You're real, and I find a great sense of calmness with your camping videos
Great video Paul.👍 It was great to get out with you and Andy again for another camp . Thanks for letting Mel and I tag along again . 🏕🥾😊
Where is Paul Messner's favourite pitch up location? In a small square space! 😂
👏
Lol 😂 I love this! 👍🏾🌿❤️
Hopefully it hasn't caused any offence it was just meant as a bit of fun. I thoroughly enjoy his video's 👍
Cheers Paul! Thanks for taking us with you.
It's the type of video that made me fall in love with this channel. Feels like 'home'
Good video food for the soul
Perhaps you have heard this often , but I think you have so pleasant talk voice: it is nice to watch, but also to listen your great videos. Greetings from Finland!
“ I can get my nutrition from a Macdonald’s when I get home!” 😂😂 so funny I nearly spat out my chip buttie!! … nice bit of coozie cooking there …everyone should make one it’s so easy to heat it up and leave it to do it’s own thing … thanks for sharing your trip … ATB Dave Mc
I’d probably walk over the edge when answering the call of nature during the night ! Midges, you’ve just gotta love them! 😂
🤣🤣
great video, youre videos inspired me to just get out and wild camp i went from edale to kinder scout on pennine way on tuesday and stayed for one night was perfect :) first ever wild camp thankyou
What a great spot for a camp with those stunning views. No matter how simple a meal when out on the open moors it always tastes really good.
What a view, in spite of the fog.
Cracking spot mate and nice to see the old windmaster in action! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
Lovely location Paul and good to see you out with Andy again. ATB
Thanks for reminding us that cheap camp food is an option Paul ✌️… syrup sponge and custard 😍 : top scram 😁!
Yeah I have actually never bought any special trekking food, its just to expensive, i can get a decent meal at a restaurant for that
@@TrekkingPackingGear 👌
What a stunning camp spot. Thanks heaps from Australia for the videos and gear reviews mate.
And thanks from New Zealand as well - I agree. 👍🏾😊🌿
Loving it Paul; all conditions are perfect............... just a state of mind!
Lets hope Jo isn't either watching or counting her pegs mate! Another awesome video, thanks. Si
What an amazing spot, going to try wild camping in the next few weeks for the first time up in Northumberland, thanks for the inspiration :-)
Lovely heather colours ! Ah you’re out with the Barnsley whippet! I can imagine it’s difficult keeping up 🤣
Awesome buddy.. cheers Chris & Sam
Hello Paul. You need to put the pillow locks on when the mats deflated 👍
" i can get my nutrition from MacDonalds when i get home", that made me laugh 🤣
Thanks for these videos again, I've only gone and broken my ankle so trying to keep busy watching vids lol
Was heading for that spot on Weds eve before ...in the end carried on across the moor to feather moss trig. Similar morning views (though we did surprise a deer in the mist). Thanks for the videos and inspiration to get outdoors !.
The boys are back in town. Great spot that one.
What make/model is your friends tent?
Looks like the Pretents Soloist
Hi Paul, another great video. Could you please share how you clean dirty cooking pots whilst wild camping?
What a gorgeous little spot. "I can't get my nutrition from McDonalds on my way home!" Gold! 😂🤣
Sponge & custard was the highlight.
Fantastic video as always. I need to get out for a camp soon!
During their Boy Scout days, my two sons loved instant mashed potatoes. Add hot water and then add a packet of precooked chicken. Delicious.
To keep the door open, theres some Velcro pads so that the door is attached snugly to the inner.
Hello Paul. Thanks for this video again. Been watching you for awhile now and recently got the courage to go camping. Recently got my equipment ready. First stop will be the Peak District next week. Just wanted to thank you again for all the great work you put into teaching people how to camp.
Thought i recognised where you was, i walked up that stretch of the pennine way on Saturday and the weather did turn a little wet. Looks like you all had a great camp. Great Video as usual
Thanks for the uploads
All that grub for a fiver.....that's northern budgeting mate..Nicely done...!
that pot cozy is a good idea
Great video Paul Like the pillow sticky pad idea. Just have tiny comment about your Carb intake Check the ingredients Look for 0.### cab's on the pack you will benefit in the long run
Danke für das schöne Video. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland
Nutrition from Macdonalds 😆. Love the treacle sponge for pudding idea. Think I will definitely try that. Can we have more of these simple pudding inspiration ideas please?
Thanks Paul, loved the video. Interesting to see the Soto set up you reviewed on the gear channel used in anger. 👍🏻
Top quality Paul, up there with the best, well done pal👍
Very jealous, my new job has me so knackered I've not been able to escape this year. Thx for reminding me I need to get out into our beautiful countryside. Not jealous of the midges
As someone who spent 11 years in the Army, and as an expedition leader, I can't say I understand the logic of pitching on the tops. Normal convention is to hike to various tops and scenic spots, enjoy the view, but then camp where you get shelter from the elements.
By camping out on the top, any change in weather and you are going to get hit with all of it. You're also going to get the biggest changes in temperature, wind speed, and so on...
Unless you have a weather forecast that is fine and the weather is good, at the height of summer, it's just not the best place to stop.
Class video Paul, fantastic views
Top location. Loved the steamed treacle sponge. I’m getting some of those.
Heathers a beaut up in the peak at the mo
Great video Paul love it
Is the grey tent from Pretents? Soloist?
Brilliant as always 😃❤️🙌👏
Nice vid, as always 👍
I like your videos very much, thank you! Because of your videos my interest grows to do such shorttrips as well. Being a man with wanderlust I though it is a good way to expand my activities. But bad news, here in Germany this sort of „wild camping“ using a tent is forbidden. There a some spots were you can pitch your tent, if you did get yourself a reservation for that spot. No spontaneous trip. Such a shame! Maybe I have to cross the Channel to try this way of therapy. Or Scandinavia. I hope you feed me with more of your videos with the amazing sights. Greetings from Germany! TJ
Another good video mate. Keep em coming. Do you have any plans to review the range of Nemo chairs?…stargazer or new moonlite. Thanks
McDonalds will sponsoring you next 😜 ….. have you tried the “Gourmet) range of rice and grains from Lidl? Really good and reasonably priced, I Chuck in a few slices of smoked sausage to “meat” it up.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing
Paul, i been watching so many of your videoes, really like what you do and who you are. I have things i wanna ask you, 1) How about an episode about the food you bring, the food you never bring, mistakes and so one 2) Reach out to Jamie or gordon, get them to tag along. You teach them how to put up a camp, they teach you michelling food you can bring in bag, without cooling, and to cock on a mountain hill.. The whole world would watch, it could be so great.
Thanks for the show and great inspiration!
@@stuartchester6899 Fell better now? You sound like a true hero.
@@stuartchester6899 you do realize that you don't have to watch his videos right? Must be difficult to live life when you are always comparing yourself with others...
aaahhh finally proper use of the cusion stickers :D
I prefer that weather over getting roasted by the sun. And I'm assuming y'all don't have to worry about bears!
Loving the channel Paul great informative videos thanks 🙏 👍👍👍😁😁😁
Great video mate 👌
Lovely views when fog lifted but I don't think that matters , beautiful scenery to die for I can smell the fresh air ...wish I was out there too .
Great vid mez, and Great views, atb Lee
My version of hell is endlessly putting a sleeping mat back in its bag.
@@thomasjeffersonlane9902 I know how to do it, I just utterly hate doing it lol. It took me like a year to realise you fold it to the size of the bag and hated myself since 😂
Thanks for sharing Paul
That pudding paul amazing that is now top wild camp dessert👍
Lovely video Paul as usual
Great wee video .ATB
Great job Paul
What was the white/grey tent that Andy had Paul? Looked good.
Looks like a 3f UL Lanshan 1.
@@MrU86513601 Ita a Pretents soloist from Valley and Peak
Good vlog again Paul as usual. Best part - treacle pudding and custard! Can’t get any of that here in Denmark, but I could almost taste it just watching 😋
Nice video I use the cheap grocery store food too lol
I use the Bridgedale storm socks they make them in different weights and lengths and I think they are the most like wearing socks as opposed to bin bags waterproof socks
I'm from Huddersfield and the fact you camped near here makes me want to go out and camp too
Well. I have the sea to summit pad and pillow and I’ve been moaning that the “non slip” thing is a total gimmick. Turns out I just haven’t fit the Velcro 🤣 every day is a school day
Paul why not apply the Velcro fastening to your tent flap too hould it open! No Peg needed.
Nice video Paul
Nice spot that is.
Nicely done
Great video pal but I’m reminded of the phrase, always carry a heat shield!
How cool that you Can film with a selfie stick and make it disappear!
Great video buddy new here keep up the good work see u on the next one
Cracking spot, camped there a couple of times myself.
Did you find the little bivi cave below one of the castles?
I've walked and run that section several times. Not quite sure where the 'bivvy cave' is from the path above. Perhaps an exploration is required 👍
What's the pyramid tent? very aesthetic.
Did therm a rest replace your sleeping pad? And did it go smoothly with a replacement?
Another great video full of fab views and really helpful tips. Many thanks Paul. I am concerned about your eating habits, though.
Fantastic selection of food, you won't need a Big Mac after all that stuff! Where's Reggie!!
Great video and a lovely spot. I’d love to see how you get one nights gear in a 33 litre pack. I’ve got that pack and I am trying to work out what I have to leave behind to get it all to fit. I know I can use my Sil Hexpeak but I think my sleeping bag and mat might take up too much space. Also we’re you carrying any spare clothes?
Most people head indoors during inclement weather but Paul thinks to create content so he saddles up and heads out onto a remote hilltop. His viewers (me especially) can't wait to see him huddled helplessly in a tent with his micro stove and blow up mattress and think what fun that must be.
Yeah Paul, this time you are keeping distance to the blow bag for the sleeping pad, safes you a lot of breath!
Lovely English summer lool
Is that a pre tents your mate is using
Top video Paul 👍 can you do a vid at some point on your recording set up? Your audio is always so clean even up on the fells
ua-cam.com/video/ti1sjYHo3uY/v-deo.html
@@happycreativemind Thanks Jo!
More tents than hot dinners! I've got the cloud peak 2 but want something lighter. What would you recommend for around 300 sheets?
You were at the Castles.....
Did you find the diary in the sandwich box?
The dreaded midge net! Does yours actually keep the pests out? If so can you please tell me where to buy one. Thanks for another great videy
Evening Paul. States here (CA). You used an mattress inflator. Would you describe it a bit? Thanks
Where did you get the ultra lightweight cloths peg from heheee :) Nice camp.
Does anyone know what camera Paul is using for those great overhead shots/videos???
Great video and camp, which tent was it?
Story of my life these conditions lately. Good camp mate, like the tent 👍 ATB pal.
Thank you Thorin Oakenshield
