Just a tip, if you want to convey to the audience how fast the car actually accelerates from a stop, put a camera on a tripod horizontal to the car with a wide lens, just include that first in your shot lineup instead of all that movement back and forth which gives a poor sense to how fast the car accelerates from a stop.
@shmee150 i heard some people giving you shit for using the switch after launch. i did some research and what you did was actually very smart. the car is only listed to a 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and you got 2.5 so obviously you where doing something right. keep it up, love the channel

I have driven a 2017 Turbo S with the stock 580 horses that had over 2500 LC launches on it most of them done 30-40 non stop in a row at a time. And it had no other service done to it except from the regular maintenance from the service book. There is a reason behind the fact that Porsche gives a much higher number of launches covered by their warranty then other car makers. Its solid af.

Impressive acceleration to say the least. I drove a Tesla, but I was not prepared and could not get the most out of it. Hit my head hard when I just did the acceleration game on the Tesla, it was quite insane. For a limousine it was crazy, but nothing compared to this Porsche. Took 3.5 seconds in the Tesla, but you need to sit back and keep your head on the rest so you do not hit the headrest when you push the pedal.

They simply just have to do it. Because of the modifications it's not a Porsche anymore and Porsche doesn't hold the warranty anymore. So they need to cover the badge as well. It's not a tuned Porsche as you would say. Like Ruf or Brabus with Mercedes they are own registered car manufacturers which build their cars on the base of a Porsche. So Porsche doesn't allow to keep the badge which of course they also don't want to. Because from then on you also have the warranty of Techart Parts and not Porsche anymore. Same with the insurance. Big difference.

Just announced, Lamborghini is coming out with a new 4 door electric super car. They are calling it the "J31 Bodacious 990-4". More information to come.
Unless there's a mechanical grip change between S & S+ then it really service almost no purpose to put in S+, as aero force (so having the rear wing more at an angle) won't play until at least 2nd or 3rd gear speeds...

I take my hat off to the engineers at Porsche. This 0 - 100 kph time is the same as the 0 - 100 kph of a Bugatti Chiron. However the Chiron has 16 cylinders, 1468 hp and 4 turbos. So with those stats, its not that much of an engineering feat to hit 0 - 100 kph in 2.5 seconds. This Porsche however has "only" 720 hp, 6 cylinders and if I am not mistaken just one turbo. The Porsche 911 Turbo S and GT3 are the result of what happens when you take a car and you continuously perfect it for over half a century. Leave it to the perfectionist Germans to do that. Yet the exhaust note at 1:50 is the reason why I would not buy a Porsche. The exhaust note of most Porsches sound like a high powered vacuum cleaner unless you really give the beans to the throttle, which in my opinion is a big fail. Maybe it has to do with the flat 6 piston configuration of the pistons in the engine or the specific Porsche turbos that muffle the exhaust note
Im curious as to how the 0-60 time would differ should he have just left it in Sport Plus mode for the entire run. ~2.5 seconds is extremely quick, I find it hard to believe that the aero package even has time to revert itself once he launches, gains adequate grip, turns the knob, and has time to reset.
Will those performance tuning damage the engine in a long-term? Isn't the engine under much greater pressure and load which the motor is not designed to be?
Tim I have said it before,but you have to get yourself om the starting line of a proper drag strip while a pair of top fuller's or funny cars are burning out/staging and then launching. I guarantee (as an ex chief startling Marshall at santa pod in he 80's)it will leave you speechless. you need to get Marc on the case.

The Tesla P100D does 0-60 in 2.27s - Motortrend tested. Pretty wild when you see a car like this do it "slower".
