There was only 1 kind of screw in, type, strings of Christmas lights,,,you could easily change,,,and I never see them today,,,,and the smell, of a real tree,,,with tons of tinsel, and lites, with an angel on top,,,and the presents under the tree,,,we were allowed to open only 1, on Christmas eve,,,I have 6 brothers and sisters, needless to say, it was a ZOO,,,Christmas mor n, opening gifts,,,then the relatives came,,serious full house, pure fun to a child,,,good stuff!!nice vid Mark,,,make the kids squeal, with fun, this Christmas, theyre just the right age,,,all the best!!😎

Nice chat. Puts me in the Christmas spirit. I need something like today this as I we had to put down my 12 year old Lab, Griff yesterday. A lot of wonderful memories of camping and canoing and hunting over those years. Man could he retrieve! He enjoyed opening a Christmas gift too - tearing off the paper. I don't know how I'll smoke a pipe without him lying at my feet. Blessed to have those memories. Have great Christmas Mark - making memories !

Great job on the house decorations. All the lights being strung around is definitely one of my favourite parts of it all. Thanks for sharing your memories of Christmas with us. Those mutual visits of friends and family around this time of year really make it, and they're usually what we remember and miss most the older we get. I often wish folks now were a little more direct and casual about making visits or calling people up, at any time of the year let alone Christmas. It's trended that way especially post-pandemic, but here's hoping it'll change for the better. Fingers-crossed the postal strike ends soon and you can get your hands on that Thanksgiving Day blend. Nice reflection on Christmas past and present. One memory I have is of the train and village that my Dad made under and next to the tree. Was pretty big and took a few days to set up.
