BMW E46 Sport Wagon | Feature of The Month!

- This month we took a closer look at one of our senior tech's rides: a 2000 BMW E46 323i sport wagon! After this car served our shop as a courtesy shuttle for years, we were able to pass it along to one of our employees who performed a manual transmission swap along with a number of other fun parts!

this thing is cool as hell. I love how pure it is and how balanced the owner plans to keep it. Need more of this these days

I always loved the older BMWs. It looks so organic compared to today's 3 series.
We agree! The E46 wagon is a great blend of the classic 'boxy' BMW look from the early models, yet still sleek and sporty enough to be modern daily driver!
The best road trip car has been my 5speed 323. I can enjoy the mountain/forest roads while knowing I can sleep anywhere in the back.

@@Oceansidemotorsports I'm not sure if you'd happen to know but can I drop in an after market air filter like this or would I need a tune as well?
@@themaincrunch8773 on most cars (especially older ones), you can drop in an aftermarket air filter and achieve a improvement in air flow to your engine and may or may not notice an immediate difference. In most cases a tune is not crucial but is rather the 'icing on the cake' so to speak and helps get the most gain out of the performance upgrades that alter the cars air/fuel mixture from stock.

BMW wagons seem to get love from true enthusiasts. I’ve built 2 complete ZHP swapped wagons and a 330i 6spd XI for a customer in the last couple of years. He dailies the XI and kept one of the ZHPs for his weekend fun car. He’s always on the look out for another. I love it but he may have a problem.🤔
Hah! They are great all around vehicles. Plenty of room to drop the kids off at soccer practice while you can enjoy a spirited drive!
Awesome car! Such a great daily aswell. Just a shame with catless exhaust the way the enviroment status is in the world in my opinion, atleast one can go with sportcats for a better flow still. Otherwise awesome wagon!!

The values of sport wagons seem to be increasing in recent times, although you can still find a good deal here and there! It can be a little bit more difficult to find these with a manual transmission though :)

Hi Joe, thanks! At the time he was running R888rs, and the wheels are 16x8 style 5s. They are stock BBS wheels that can be found on some E36, E34, Z1, etc. models! He is also now running a slightly more 'tame' 225/50R16 Firehawk tire.

@@joematsuura depends! What kind of car are you hoping to put them on? They should bolt right up with no issues to many other BMWs with 5x120 bolt patterns.
