I used to be a beast in this mod, I was able to speedrun getting dragon eggs at one point. The only problem I have with this mod is that after you've gotten a dragon and dragon steel gear, it makes you so op that half the time you don't even know what to do. Granted you can set goals to tame every tameable mob and get all the legendary weapons but until the boss's are finally introduced my ice and fire world hasn't even been touched in years now. But I think the mod maker went to make alex's caves which I'm having a lot of fun with so I ain't even mad about it honestly. All I remember is that they were gonna add Werewolves, vampires and Wendigo's.
@@CarlosAvilla Well I'm gonna be honest with you, I usually run this mod with Xearo's minimap because finding an underground den is almost impossible. My first priority is usually to find a village and get a fletcher that'll trade me sticks for emeralds and emeralds for arrows. (If I can't find a village then I just craft arrows manually but you can always find a good village seed so eh.) Then just get some basic iron gear and a bucket of water for obvious reasons and IF I happen to find diamonds which thanks to minecraft's new cave generation can be done a lot more easier then back in the day, enchant my bow. Power 1 may not seem like a lot but it can make all the differance from a normal bow. The long and annoying part however which makes the term "speedrun" feel a bit more like a slow run depending on RNG, of though you can make underground dens more common in the config files is just dig a straight line at Y level 30 and eventually on the minimap you should spot a Underground den. My strat is simply dig around the entire den and set up some vantage points for shooting the dragon because Dragons CAN break blocks but this can also be their downfall because if they come at you, their AI may make them get stuck a little and if you've set up a tunnel to quickly go to another spot, you can then continouasly shoot them and they'll just keep breaking blocks pushing them back further and further. Sometimes may not work but the key is a little bit of patients. It's not SUPER fast but considering that if you pull it off you'll be getting a Dragon egg depending on if it's female at the same time you've gotten Iron gear that's definatly fast in terms of this mod. and even if it's not female male dragons drop WAY more scales than female dragons and they have better loot in their chests so it's a win win since you'll be getting more set up for the next hunt. my point is, ignore the smaller dragons on the surface because the sleeping ones in the dens gives you a lot of set up to absolutely mess them up IF you know what you're doing that is. And of course if you've somehow got insane levels of sneak you can just chain them to a dragonbone wall whilst they sleep and then snipe them but I never do that, it's up to you. Sorry if this seems like an essay but it's relatively simple when you've done it a couple times. It's a bit of trial and error but I imagine if you're willing to speedrun getting the best modded gear early on then you're probably skilled enough to pull it off consistantly anyways, I prefer playing it on easy difficulty not because I can't do it on normal or hard... but because it'll just take even longer to kill the darn thing. edit; oh yeah, if you're setting up vantage points by the way set them at a low position since they break blocks but most the time they break blocks in an upwards direction. Maybe go into creative mode and give yourself the gear you would expect to have when trying this, go spectator and find a cave, and then switch into survival to do some practice runs because I never did that at the time and god darn... I died a lot when I started doing this, but I got good eventually. One last edit: I was once able to speedrun getting a dragon egg WITHOUT even crafting any armor or iron gear, just a bow. I may have just been mega lucky but that's how good the strat can be if you know what you're doing. I think I set a trap door where I was shooting from so the second I saw it about to breath fire, Closed the trap door and that stopped fire getting into my spot. But it'll probably be patched now :P
@@Krypack Keep in mind, the mod only becomes boring IF you speedrun it because getting a dragon makes defeating all the other things become trivial so the whole speedrunning thing is actually not advised. By jumping straight into dragon gear and owning a dragon, then proceeding to use your armored dragon to kill stage 3 dragons on the surface to quickly build the forge and get even more op you're basically robbing yourself from the mod's nice progression so... everything I just said? Don't do it if you want to fully experience the mod lol.

I have a question with this mod. So I added the mod midway in my sever which already has a bunch. of mods. I am seeing the occasional dragon spawns, as well as some other creatures, but also a lot of the other features seem to be missing? I don't see any hypogriffs, sea serpants, and even dragon spawn is rare. Is it because I added it midway or should I be more patient in my searches?

I thought so as well, they often are spawned in their corresponding environments as he mentions in the video. Look in the config and see what biomes they are encoded to spawn in. Note that not often every biome has them, but it isn't rare, at least not for me. Also check caverns beneath the surfaces for stage 4 and 5 dragons in those biomes, the element-biome rule applies to them as well so maybe instead of surface dragons that you cannot find, the stage 4 and 5 ones are there to replace it maybe.
There are already dragon mods on bedrock I wouldn’t expect a 1:1 port of ice and fire on bedrock due to them using being fundamentally different games (Java uses Java script which makes modding extremely easy, whereas bedrock mods are extremely hard to code and create even for the simplest mods)
i downloaded the mod and what it needs, but it wont load or show up when i play the game? Ive removed other mods i dont need to see if that will make it work and it still doesnt work, whats going on ??
@@Krypack in minecraft when seting up your world there's a section called experiments that allow the mod to 'sometimes' fully work, (atleast for me since i play on mobile)

Sea dragon armor also provides a stacking strenght buff for each armor piece while wet (in water/rain) up to strenght 4 with a full set
