Said it in another video; tubers/streamers always run "funny decks", yet expect everyone else to run meta-optimal. Like they have the cornermarket on gimmicks. Worse yet they get salty when their gimmick decks don't work and people with good decks win by...well..having a better deck :p
Reason i like to watch day9 tbh, the sodium levels are much healthier and he *actually* has fun playing. Most others just claim to "have fun", still take it 99% serious.
Also worth mentioning, as noticed later in the video; "Who the hell runs spellbreaker", then continues to put spellbreaker into his own deck ;)
Yes, but the other guy doesn't play a gimmick deck (with 0.01 confidence level?..), so what is this really, really lousy card doing in his deck?

Well i run a spellbreaker and 0 silence in my priest deck that's built around silence(winrate is above average) and some in my "having fun" decks. The point is that if you're running a novelty/gimmick deck, it's entirely possible that others are too. Then add new players and people who are just trying things out and you got yurself a situation where judging someone elses deck, especially when running a bad gimmick deck, is just silly.
Cozmosus Silence is rare, and Ironbeak is just horrible.

Shame the salt flats got flooded in cataclysm, if blizzard made one of those saltscale crocs into a card, people would run it just for BM.

I love the fact that he got so mad against the most basic priest gimmick while playing a gimmicky deck. I had fun watching that :)
I find it also funny whenever he says 'WHO RUNS THIS CARD'. because im around the same level 20-18 and i run those cards too :P.
In Hearthstone, you always assume that your opponent has the card they need. Playing a 7 attack creature? Assume there's a BGH or SW:D in hand. They're playing the cars that doubles health? Assume they have Inner Fire in their hand or they're going to top deck it next turn. This way you're never surprised when it happens and you know to bait those cards out before you start playing big things. For a mage, for example, always assume they have a poly and fireball in hand and try to bait all four of those out.

Completely understand how he feels in this video. It is literally the most rage-inducing thing in all of Hearthstone to have your ramp deck denied so many times in a row. TotalBiscuit has every right to be ruthless.
I love his gimmicks so much that I would call my son micheal bay just to blow shit up. XD

I managed to defeat someone who played a Lightspawn and double Divine Spirit on it (and something else that I can't remember) that made it a 21/21 because he ignored my board and I managed to Bloodlust and a Windspeaker to drop him from full health to zero in one shot. It was the most satisfying thing I have ever done in videogames. I like to imagine the triumph to agony transition on the other guy's end would've been glorious.
So, the guy actually had 5 hp, enemy with 7/1 drake on board, no taunt, 3 mana, SW: D in the hand... and he played a Dark Cultist. Apparently, he is a fucking prophet and he forsaw the inevitability of The Glorious BM Deathwing.
Run Silence because it works well with pyro, great way of dealing with shredders

Thaurissan can actualy salvage bad neighbours as a deck. It propably still gonna be bad even for gimmick, but useable-ish.

Why is TB complaining about people running weird/useless cards in rank 20.
Was thinking this too, it's rank 20, there are two absolutes at rank 20, people with really good decks, and people who are JUST LEARNING TO F*CKING PLAY THE GAME being stuck at rank 20. I get he's on a fairly long bender of losing, but that should be par for the course for his gimmick decks. But half time I wonder about him, "OMG why are they not playing decks like everyone else!???" then "OMG they're playing the same damn decks as everyone else!"

I think TB has some very biased opinions of the Titan X, and just Nvidia in general. If a leak is to be believed, AMD's upcoming 390x will be slightly faster than the Titan X. (Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but it is a possibility.)
Also, Titan X does not have double precision.
AMD won the last flagship fight. Now the 980 is out, and when the 390x comes out, they'll likely win it again.

I have watched a lot of your stuff, including nearly all the episodes of the Co-Optional Podcast, and while I may not agree with you on a lot of things, such as anime, graphics cards, and backseat gaming (Seriously, when we scream at our screen when you do misplays, it's because we can see them as you're doing them, not because we look in fucking hindsight.), that doesn't mean I don't enjoy your videos, and that every time I say something _slightly_ against you, that I'm a troll or hater with nothing valid to say.
Also, the leaks are sourced by Chiphell, so there's that. Again, take with a grain of salt, but it's not like it's just some random dude on a forum speculating.

***** I think you got slightly aggressive there for the reply, but I think you're alright with saying what you did.. Except for the "Very biased" part, TB himself said that Nvidia is reliable (Which it honestly is for the most part.) and he also expressed that if AMD outperforms Nvidia then him changing to AMD is also a possibility. It was a balanced opinion and Nvidia at this point does have the more powerful cards in the market. Although personally I'm more of a AMD person so I think once the R380x comes out or depending on the price R390x's come out, I might get one of those.
KoinGaming AMD does not outperform Nvidia right now, mainly because their counter product simply isn't out yet. However, they still won last time with the 290x. It's all well and good that TB says he'll change if one out-performs the other, but he never did.
Also, he said that if you want the absolute top, go Nvidia. Again, simply not true, at least as far as being used as a principle, which is how he meant it.
Also, don't call me aggressive when all he had to offer to the conversation was mockery.

TB has the worst luck I've ever seen.
The real kicker was badmouthing crendors decks when TBs own decks aren't 100% committed to the gimmick either(mostly by coming up with ridicilous reasons how it "fits" the deck). I don't mind TBs content most the time, but i really hate those kind of hypocritical people and at times TB is the worst at that.
Edit: Such as crititique towards smurfing, coming from a man who plays "all legendary" decks at rank 20-19 and in one cast actually said "let's annoy some noobs".
To be fair, he doesn't make alt accounts to get to rank 20. He actually plays and gets stuck around there with the gimmicks, which is not smurfing.

Yeah I haven't played in months, I got to rank 3ish some seasons ago and that burned me out completely, it got sooo dull playing against the same decks over and over, might as well have been playing the same person over and over again. I may return when blackrock expansion hits, as when the 'meta' gets thrown up into the air, it's actually somewhat fun because everyone is experimenting... when it gets all settled down again it becomes boring.

Misa Pheonix Honestly I am not certain, I think it's just the nature of card games. I am not sure what blizz can do apart from bring in more cards, from what we've seen so far of the new blackrock cards, none of them are blatantly OP; they're just interesting. Which I think is the right way to go, and should've been what they had done with the last couple expansions. Rather than bring in cards that totally eclipse current ones and make them obsolete, they instead need to bring in cards with new mechanics and quirks to add to the diversity. I feel that there are too many cards at the moment that are bad, and thus never used or simply can't be used effectively (basically in need of buffing). No one card should be in every way better than another card of it's tier, they should just be better in certain themes, which is true in hearthstone, but not completely. The more they add to the diversity and also make obsolete cards viable again, the more diverse the community and meta will be 'able' to be, as people want to play what's viable.

Hearthstone is so shitty now everybody uses a deck somebody else made and they use stupid reason to prove that they are right to do so and that you can to! Because I totally have the money to buy packs until I have all those meta cards and the time to do nax and I have the mind of a idiot who ignores half the game as in the MAKE A DECK part!
You know I have this theory that a lot of the people acussed of net-decking are actually just using good cards in their deck I mean i have a deck that uses all the summon minions upon death effects (it gets board control then either wares them down or blood lusts and ends it quickly) and if I get certain cards it looks like a netdeck (havest, shredder, belcher, my spells) so I wonder sometimes if the deck I am facing is actually a net-deck. Cause it seems to me like most people call anything with dr boom (or any other good card for that matter) in it or that has any logic to it a net-deck and I just don't think that's the case but then again I don't ever go above rank 10 and just got my dr boom last night so maybe I am wrong but I guess it doesn't really matter it's only game after all if you don't actually enjoy it you can always find something else to do (also if you do like hearthstone make time for nax it has some pretty fun battles and gives you some good cards)
James Nixon sadly I don't have the time or money for nax and yes even though there are good non-netdecks they are outnumbered by stolen decks and netdecks
Well, such is the way of things in meta. Similarly in SC2 you have builds that work and builds that don't. The main advantage of SC2 over HS, and the reason why I don't play HS, is that in SC2 you choose your build during the game and you aren't reliant on pre-build deck.
I used to use a net deck. I still take suggestions from the internet if needed for a quest, but I try not to. I'm a gimmicks player, plain and simple, not really looking for wins. And my favorite part of the game is the adventures.
