Nothing it’s probably something that just keeps people busy and they think it’s important but in reality some droid was probably given a certain function to keep this planet safe for some future reason possibly to fund the rise of the new order
I think "The Great Work" is a concept from the Old Republic that Lina Soh took inspiration from when she began to conceive of her own Great Works. I also think that Lina herself was named after the Jedi hero written about in Wim's story.
Maintenance of something to keep status quo and remain frozen in time. Maybe we will see the kids and Silvo free At attin from some kind of slavery. With a cameo from someone from the new republic or Thrawn operatives assuming he is in the galaxy at this time.
I know I'm not gonna get a response but when Jude grabbed the knife out of the skeleton he raised up to check the angle of the attack the Droid confronted Jude right after and raised his self up taller which makes me think the Droid killed the pirate and Jude knows it
Considering how often the Republic is threatened by galactic war, I wouldn't be surprised if they put in contingencies to rebuild in case they are destroyed by war. There could be entire planets that are like fallout shelters, filled with people and supplies, who can survive an apocalyptic galactic war and come out to rebuild civilization after the dust has settled.
The Star Wars website says KB has her natural ability to be resourceful and intelligent "further augmented by her cybernetic implants". It's similar to Lando's friend Lobot's implants. They seem to serve the dual purpose of letting people interface directly with other computers and letting people perform on-the-spot hands-free math equations that could typically only be possible for calculators and computers by directly putting that computer into their brain. Like a *very personal* personal computer lol. My guess is that her cybernetics are a combination of a visual visor that may or may not provide eyesight correction, but also likely provides a visual HUD for the computer that is the rest of her implant. It's VERY cool in concept ...unless it's still canon that Lobot was losing his personality to the implant, which was a known side effect of their use.
If I was naming Kh'ymm's species, I'd go with Stryx. Based off of the owl genus "strix." It's also related to folkloric humanoid owl/bat creatures and witches.
Supposedly, this character is based on a species that was created during, The Clone Wars; but, they were left on the cutting room floor. I'm sure, soon We'll be getting the official species name. However, I really like the idea of calling them, Stryx.
@@dcrkpaint I like that, too. The word is, Kh'ymm's a member of the Sharalian species, which actually goes all the way back to the 1977 Star Wars/A New Hope concept art book. The wonders never cease...
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567Far from confirmed, as they don’t look much alike other than their owl-ish face, though even that is different. The face is way too different when compared. So is the body, legs, and arms. It’s just a new species, never seen before in neither canon or the EU.
22:07 but there are other species in Att Attin than the ones we see in the mural. Like in the classroom we see Rodians and whatever Rhona is (Neel's crush)
I'm curious to see how the show explains how someone managed to pull off lying to (at the very least) a large colony on this planet. Manipulating one person (The Truman Show) or a small village (The Village) seem pretty simple by comparison.
"What would an old Droid do with credits" made me think of the computer in the original Willy Wonka asking what it would do with chocolate. And of course the technician's response.
Good talks here & totally yeah for Republic love mentioned in Skeleton Crew is very nice 🙂 I enjoyed S01E03 on las tnight 📺🧘♂ I look forward to streaming S01E04 via D+ on wednesday late evening in a dark room 👌
I was totally expecting the x-wing pilot to be Carson Tera, I want that actor/character to appear in all these ear shows, was a little disappointed it wasn’t
29:53 They do too much "mystery boxing" in almost every syndicated show now, whether it's a new Star Trek series, The Witcher, Raised by Wolves, Disney, whatever. Studios need to hire writers with more unique ideas.
You know there was this guy you might have heard of called Darth Nihilus back in the old republic days who was easily capable of destroying entire planets.
10:37 I don’t think those runes are vertical. We are just looking at it sideways. Look at the standing people to the left. When flipped to look at it upright, those planet names are written horizontally.
P.s. if they are truly “ancient runes” especially if they are modeled after ancient Nordic runes, remember those were read from right to left. So if translations aren’t making sense, try reading them backwards.
I think Crimson Jack is a title, kind of like Dread Pirate Roberts, that is passed on from one person to another, so he could be A Crimson Jack, just not the same guy as the one that has been seen before.
The obvious reason to why Jod doesn't like droids is because he took some part in the clone wars, he is old enough that he could have been like around Ahsoka age during clone wars.
has any one realized that the Onyx Cinder was buried UPSIDE DOWN? I think that the Pirate managed to get himself in charge of AtAttin at least for a while but now the Droids are in control.
I would like to point out, although though there was no death star at the time that could destroyed those planets there were also weapons found on malicore turning Jedi and Sith alike into stone. There were also strange devices found in bad batch that preexist any imperial weaponry that had plenty of fire power to destroy a planet.
How much yall wanna bet that Jude Law's character was actually one of the force sensitive children whose name was on the Holocron that Cal destroyed? :)
Not sure if the supervisor is a droid per see, it could instead be like some kind of super computer that is controlling all the droids, kind of like those droid command ships from clone wars.
I wonder if the ship has something to do with treasure. Like there's a ton of credits hidden somewhere in the ship. Like the thing that they're searching for was right there the whole time.
Erik, I am absolutely with you, on the concept of The 9 Jewels Of The Old Republic having intergalactic and intra-galactic historical connections and implications within The SWU. I definitely DON'T WANT ANY OF THIS to be strongly connecting to the godawful Disney Sequel Trilogy. Yes, Erik, I'm also strongly leaning in the direction that it's droids who are controlling the inner workings of At-Attin, a la, The Wizard Of Oz. Very Twilight Zone-ish. Esp. Since Jod Na Nawood has an antipathy towards droids; which I suspect has something to do with the family tragedy that altered his childhood.
Nick Frost’s accent in this isn’t a cockney one I’m afraid. It’s a pirate accent which is from the south west of England. Places like Cornwall, Devon and Bristol.
What if the prince that the droid wanted to help was Queen Amidala's dad before he was king? OR what if that was her brother, and she assumed power in a coup so she ALREADY personally threw that droid overboard after walking the plank?... and THAT is how the show ties in to the larger Skywalker legacy. DID YOU EVER THINK OF THAT?!? 🤣
I dont think Whims dad is sus. I think hes the only one whos starting to peice together things arent right. And he'll use his position to gain information or so. Loved the 3 episodes. My favorite Star Wars series to date. So far. And I have a feeling they will stick the landing. Hyped for this weeks episode with the Daniels directing. And then Bryces episode.
I think this is one of the nine planets that were created by Palpatine and is the only remaining. I believe Aldaran was one of the 9. At-atan was credits, then Al-daran was political so what were the other 7?
you know what else could destroy planets during the Old republic. Darth Nihilus, so could Nihilus could have consumed the other 8 planets, and At atin became hidden to evade Destruction by Nihilus. just a though
If At Attin were an artificial structure, how did the ship get burried without anyone knowing? Makes more sense that it was buried on a planet that was then built on top of.
Star Wars has always piggybacked off real life. I think At Attin is a rendition of Earth and how we are still stuck on this planet while the rest of the galaxy thrives. We should've been doing interplanetary exploring long ago based on Roswell (just 1 known example) reverse engineering....
I don't want to spoil the games for people playing them right now. The show is referencing the old republic which we don't know much outside the games like mentioned. Thrawn has soldiers He would need ships. -Cheers Edit: KOTOR 2 has an explanation on how the worlds could of been destroyed
They don't, if the kids are any indicator. They're unaware of the fall of the Republic and rise of The Empire, thinking Alderaan is still there. Their knowledge of the galaxy seems to be a hundred or more years in the past (probably longer). For them, it's the Republic (current to them), not Old Republic, or even High Republic, which are "modern" terms for those eras.
Perhaps rubbing social or environmental experiments and the other planets were destroyed that way?? 27:52 Also maybe the other planets really aren’t destroyed and they still exist 29:23
What do you think "The Great Work" of AT Attin is?
Looking down and doing what your told.
Nothing it’s probably something that just keeps people busy and they think it’s important but in reality some droid was probably given a certain function to keep this planet safe for some future reason possibly to fund the rise of the new order

It's bitcoin or something similar data driven wealth
I like that this show has enough mystery that the different channels have completely different theories
I know I'm not gonna get a response but when Jude grabbed the knife out of the skeleton he raised up to check the angle of the attack the Droid confronted Jude right after and raised his self up taller which makes me think the Droid killed the pirate and Jude knows it
I noticed that too!
Dang, that's good!
If no one was sure At Attin existed, how do we know these other planets were even destroyed? Maybe they still exist too
This is a good point. Very convenient exposition
Yeah, I totally agree. Maybe those other planets are OK too that they said that they were destroyed. I questioned it when she said that.
Either they were all destroyed by the Old Republic Sith Empires or it’s a misinformation to keep them hidden from the galaxy.
That makes perfect sense.

Long time watcher, infrequent commenter: I'm here for the Caprese saga. I'm trying not to laugh so hard at my desk at work and upset everyone lol.
Kh'ymm reminded me so much of Aughra from Black Crystal in the best way
Oooh new theory. The treasure is the ship?!?!
Shipwrecked on a land a plenty
I like that! What if there's treasure hidden on the ship already.
Didn't know I needed Brandon doing a Mrs doubtfire impression but so glad he went for it!
22:07 but there are other species in Att Attin than the ones we see in the mural. Like in the classroom we see Rodians and whatever Rhona is (Neel's crush)
31:45 Yes! 🤣🎸
I think Jod is an untrained Force user and didn't go to Jedi or Dark Side training.
C-3PO is the unheralded hero of the whole saga. No one else gets as complete a story or so much character growth.
Whole time thinking to myself, “There’s no way these kids are about to get their first kills…”
Is the supervisor even a person? I'm thinking droid for sure
I'm curious to see how the show explains how someone managed to pull off lying to (at the very least) a large colony on this planet. Manipulating one person (The Truman Show) or a small village (The Village) seem pretty simple by comparison.
The show IS the wizard of Oz, cause its protagonists in a new world, trying to get home, seemingly gaining different experiences.
We had a Max Rebo & Neal is Minimum Rebo
If they are eventually making a Dawn of the Jedi movie, they do need to set up some Old Republic stuff.
Kh'ymm is a catowl who meowhoots. Know your memes.
I love how Wim thinks he’s so great lol and Neel doing funny shite in the background
i think the prince was from the Droids cartoon in the 1980s when uncle gundy and his nephew accidentally bought monjoopa , the prince
Whogato is a good name.

This time, it was a new X-Wing pilot...Commander Kent.
I loved Kim. She’s part owl, part cat, part Angela Lansbury
Exactly. A perfect description.
Gargoyles were definitely fromMacbeth! They had a few episode arc backstage the castle during its plot actually!
Where is your BTS of the last two HP movies? 😭

Jess hit hard with the crush and done but bless your soul Erik for keeping us humble.
Great stream guys ❤
You know there was this guy you might have heard of called Darth Nihilus back in the old republic days who was easily capable of destroying entire planets.
Love you guys❤
The old republic games are cool. Maybe a old sith ship is on that planet too
@BreakroomNR Its not all humans, Neels, and Ithorians, there was also that fuzzy green girl from the classroom who Neel was smitten with.
10:37 I don’t think those runes are vertical. We are just looking at it sideways. Look at the standing people to the left. When flipped to look at it upright, those planet names are written horizontally.

Has anyone mentioned that Wim’s dad is Tunde from Tv on the Radio???
I said “wait is that the guy from TV on the Radio” in the first episode. Now I can’t watch an episode without one of their songs playing in my head.
I think Crimson Jack is a title, kind of like Dread Pirate Roberts, that is passed on from one person to another, so he could be A Crimson Jack, just not the same guy as the one that has been seen before.

I would love to see Street Sharks made into live action. I have no doubt it would be terrible but I would watch it.

Brandon, when making the joke about At-Attin being flat…it was right there…Flat-Attin
Jude law plays the anachronistic Captain Broom Kid
DROIDS cartoon was so fun!
How much yall wanna bet that Jude Law's character was actually one of the force sensitive children whose name was on the Holocron that Cal destroyed? :)
I remember gargoyles a live action of that very interesting
@breakroomnr have you thought they did it that was to avoid spoilers and keeping the mystery 11:51
All I've ever wanted in this world is live action Knights of the Old Republic. Would be so amazing and no need to tie to Skywalker
I don't think it's so much it's written in old orbesh, but more that it's written in lot older form of speech which writes/says words differently.
Not sure if the supervisor is a droid per see, it could instead be like some kind of super computer that is controlling all the droids, kind of like those droid command ships from clone wars.
Screen crush dude deciphered the scroll, the letters were backwards.? No clue why
Maybe a roughing of an original?
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤

Resistance is DURING the Force Awakens, and Kaz is likely not born yet at time of Skeleton Crew.
Even though the planet Tarris in KotOR wasn't blown up, the devastation it suffered was still enough that people said it was destroyed.
Gargoyles!!
I pray they lean into the KOTOR lore!

Not FLAT-ATTIN 🤦♀️
Its not SM-33 its SMEE ... captain hook.
The main cam is too low, right?
Maybe the planets eaten by Nihilus??
Maybe Wims mom and Ferns dad are missing because they asked or found out too much about Att Attin.
Star Forge?
I’m sorry. But didnt Kaz’ dad actually push him to join Leia?
Suppose the other jewels of the old republic were destroyed because they tried to overthrow their droid supervision ?
