R1 never was developed for freestyle riding it's a pure high performance racing machine but with awesome freeride / old-school capacity. Compared to Chrono it's a step up the ladder but the performance of the Chrono comes pretty close. In the big sizes i got R1 in 15 and 18 smaller Chrono 11. Take in account that the bridle system of R1 is built for race, that of the Chrono is more durable for freeride.

Have to check the high end yet but think 15-25 knots on twintip.
