    Hi Heather the potato flower turn in a small green tomato like inside you will find TPS
    True potato seeds, on the other hand, are the sexual progeny of the potato plant and, just like human children, each one is different. Every seed in every berry will produce a plant that is new and distinct from any other potato; it is a brand new variety with newly jumbled up genetics. That potato is unique to your garden. When you grow potatoes from TPS, you are breeding new varieties.

    Great Garden Tour Heather! I was working outside and the Tomato bed that houses the Lemon boys, the beefmasters, the sungold cherry tomatoes, and the celestial tomatoes.... and what I'm doing, is I'm hoeing around the Tomato bed... trying to clear up a lot of Decay matter to reduce the amount of" Enemy #1!" pill bugs... LOL and also making a ditch around that bed to capture any water from rain so that it's more accessible to those plants and it just doesn't run off and that is also where I plan on putting Decay matter of common or like black cow. Doing the same and clearing off the bed of the Boston Pickling Cucumbers and they are starting to look good. Started raining though LOL which I can't complain because it's been wonderful.... we've had such a blessing and are receiving a lot of rain this year and a lot of clouds cuz it gets so hot over here that it's very stressful for the plants even some of the hard ear plants. This spring season however, has been very pleasant thank God. I was going to hand sow some golden beets and Easter colored radishes but it started raining so that's kind of temporarily on hold LOL. Told my niece's that there is a tomato that's about to ripen and it should be ripened in the next day or two and when it does I'm going out there with a salt and pepper shaker and that will be my breakfast hahaha. I've never done that before but I thought it would be awesome. So far I have been snacking on the sungold cherry tomatoes and they have been absolutely delicious especially after a rain

    Hello Heather. Love your garden tour. Things have definitely grown since last week. My mom thought me a remedy for Aphids and lots more pests for the garden. It works wonderful. In a spray bottle, add 1 part detergent, 1 part vinegar then fill the rest up with water. Spray on the plants.
    Thank you so much for sharing. Lots of Love to you. ❤❤❤❤

    I have planted squash and zucchini in my garden when I owned my home, but I never knew that there was a male and female flower that the plant produced thank you for that knowledge ❤ do you know what flower is eatable and if the flower is picked off to be eaten will it still produce the squash ?

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  Рік тому +2

      You'll want to leave the female flowers on but you can eat some of the male flowers! I hear they are nice battered and fried! Make sure to leave enough on for pollination!

    I love gardening season because of these videos, although, my garden always have a slow start because of the heat taking forever to get here up north. I still have neighbors starting seeds 🙃
    I'm still making piles to start the wood chipper, the one bed that has lots of them on top, is doing AMAZING, I don't even know how many strawberries we have in those 3 plants but over 50, last time I checked, like you, last year I had to share with the birds, this time they are "under cover" partially, so I hope to discourage those little stinkers, I want my STRAWBERRIES.... we have been buying them a lot for the Kefir and I would love to go to the garden and harvest my own.
    Anyway, I think I'm all caught up on the leaving comments, I had quite a few days back and forth from the hospital so I was able to watch but not so much comment since I wasn't in the most cheerful mood 😆
    Have a great day friend!
    Love, Lety
