i'm new to POD. but i really find your videos to be more credible than most of those i've seen so far. they are comprehensive, proactive and straight to the point. i hope you continue to share your valuable knowledge on making money online.😊
Thank you, it's nice to hear that. I try to put as much truly helpful info in these videos as possible, without being information overload. If you have any specific topics you need help with just let me know 👍
I dont want to point fingers, cuz they took part of their post down, but yesterday i read a comment (here) about merch informer, negative and ultimately not helpful. Being new, i wanted to find out the truth, and sent an email to MI. In a nutshell, they shared their process and i found the info they put out is extremely up to date. I am retired and sort of new to the intenet. It's so easy to be positive and helpful.
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you did your own due-diligence rather than just believing what others post. Thank you for that.. I always promise to guide you in the right direction, but I can't guarantee that for everyone out there. Also, there are a lot of people out there who have not had success (even if they only tried it for a day or two before quitting) and post discouraging comments because it didn't work out for them. Glad you're keeping an optimistic outlook, going in with that mindset is what will make you one of the ones that succeeds 👍
Most of this was incredibly helpful! The only thing I would keep in mind is that sometimes there is no competition because there is no market for it, I know chat GPT put it in there top 10 or 20 but that I don't think that means that people are buying or want to buy t shirts for this niche 😊 I think sometimes there is a sweet spot in the middle though.. but great advice all around!
You are 100% right, I agree. That's why I use the second step of checking the specific niches with the competition checker. Saves you the time from trying to go into the over-competitive niches, and the empty ones too.
@@GregGottfried hello! Im new on ur channel! Getting excited about opening my own pod store! Can I open store and make at least 1k/month with ur tutorials? If yes, then what order should I watch ur videos! Thnxxxxx
hi Greg, i stopped on this channel for learning POD after watching so many POD videos that only sells course in the end, that is not bad but they reveal the process half or putting the important things on the course or building an email list by giving something free stuff. a bit annoying actually. all of your video are great, clear and easy to understand. wish me luck for AMOD registering as your instructed on your other video. thank's a lot for the educative contents you made
Hello Greg I am interested in starting in the print on demand business. But one thing I have not heard you speak about for this business is taxes, when I upload my artwork to a print on demand website and they pay me for what gets sold do they report that income to the IRS? Will I need to fill out a 1099 form?
Great question. I’ve used it in the past for tshirt designs but have switched to Placeit because not everything on Canva is copyright free, and I felt the design templates were basic compared to Placeit. I hope that helps!
My question is when you find these no competition niches, what's the best way to SEO it. Because let's say you make a funny phrase for a under water welder. Putting that in the title has no research results. You would have to target it as a welder but not under water welder how would you write the title to get best results? that's my struggle knowing what title to put to get the best out of the algorithm. Please make a video on how u would title a total new niche if it doesn't have any selling history.
Great question! Last weeks video goes into detail on this topic specifically. I think you’ll find what you’re looking for in that one 👍 if you run into any questions just let me know.
Great question. It means that the niche is 'not good' to create designs in. More on that here: ua-cam.com/video/I3p1ow63i-A/v-deo.html I hope that's helpful!
@@GregGottfried trying to pay for placit account but looks like the $8.49/mo only applies when you pay for the entire year up front. Otherwise it is $12.74/mo to pay by month? Maybe I’m missing something?
Hmm.. not sure actually. Try manually typing in greg20 at checkout. That may do the trick. If not, maybe logging out if you’re signed in? I hope it gets sorted for you!
I am posting designs everyday, no sales, but I'm getting likes. I was feeling good, and then I found one of my designs on another platform. What to do? I have read a lot of advice, report them, ignore them? I'd love to hear your thoughts, cuz being successful, it may have happened to you. Thanks in advance.
No worries! It sounds like everything may be totally fine. In the beginning, if this is only happening on a small scale I'd recommend just reporting the copy-cats. They will get taken down, but it takes a couple minutes of your time for every report. As you start getting established, your designs will have the most sales/reviews so the copy-cats can just be ignored. It's very much a "who ever gets the most sales will own the rankings" type of situation, that's why you can ignore them later on. I wouldn't sweat it though, frankly it just means your designs are good!
I really appreciate all your hard work. I have asked before, but its still info im looking for, and think no one covers topics like you. Titles, description and Tags on other sites, besides Amazon. I have to be realistic in thinking i will probably not get accepted to Anazon until i really start selling my designs. So with that in mind, i need help in getting noticed and am willing to do the work, just need direction as to the tools that will show specific words to put in the title and so in. Thank you again
Thank you for the comment and support. Last weeks video is all about this topic, and it applies to both Amazon and the other POD sites as well. If you run into any questions while watching it just let me know 👍

This is a great tip for checking competition but not for checking demand. What you need to design for is high demand, low competition niches. 🤷🏽♂️
