I use to practice Krav Maga in my home dojo with a Krav Maga instructor. We also practiced kickboxing, JKD Bruce Lee's art and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu along with San Soo Kung Foo without a gi.
Some excellent movements shown here-the main idea s to act not wait- that way you will have the movement in progress before he reacts. He is focusing on the touch-you are getting ahead of him...saying it will not work - try it then decide.
Well said, if you got nothing else from this video I'd say movement and anticipation in motion is something I needed to click into my head! Often times we already do these things, however watching it makes it a little more conscious and you can be present in doing so.
This video makes me nervous. I practice krav and can confirm that there is no way a closed grip on the attackers wrist will hold should he resist. Particularly if the attacker is stronger. The whole arm needs to be controlled and must be pressed tight against your chest using both arms. To me, this looks like very bad practice and considering this is knife survival, it looks high risk and could well get you killed. This is certainly not current krav maga training.
I'd agree, in my experience I was much much much stronger! I wasn't super experienced in this, however I cold not maintain that grip from the speed of my opponents fear. If I do have a grip I find most success in wedging or pinching or if you require both hands, grabbing your own wrist can be essential.
Kravs become extremely popular, those of us who created the popularity (not me but not-not me, I often shared this with people) Just like word of mouth, once krav passes through hands a couple dousen times....it's gonna dilude and personalize/"update" I was in no way shape or form impressed by this video, however if you want real krav you need to do your research and look for the authentic teachers.
You can practice marshal arts as long as you want but rember, its only art and there is nothing you can do if some guy decides to break your bones or kill you.
I disagree. Krav Maga is general teaches the students that in situations where your fight or flight instincts kick in, You do what you have to do to make it out and get away. It wasn't meant to kick your sisters ass or the obnoxious neighbor that keeps filling your trashcan up. It's main goal is to give the learners a fighting chance more or less. They teach you to constantly attack while also defending. That's your fight or flight. And when that kicks in you fight and you don't stop until you can get away from your attacker or you've rendered them silent.
yeah krav maga just chopped up various martial arts and adapted them to urban violence. so you will see elements from jujitsu judo muay thai boxing wrestling and karate(360 defense)
Lol lol lol, come with me, now he is safe, i can do my moves.... I like that he avoids a knife by doing a karate chop lol lol and bowling bowl swipe under a leg kick, so good haha
I am not saying this is not worth any thing. But he is selling it as a mainstay strategy when really it is a nice trick you might get to work some time's.

C'est excellent. Merci beaucoup. J'ai appris de nouvelles choses ici. Certaines choses que je savais déjà. Je suis très content de voir ça.
Very helpful video. Always good to learn different ways to defend yourself.

It looks like Tai Sa baki was designed to disorient & hurt the attacker at the same time.

HI WHY YOU ELIMINATED THE VIDEOS TECHNIQUES 1.2.3?
Did a couple of Nihon Jiu jitsu seminars did we?...now it's Krav Maga?
Krav Maga uses techniques of all sorts of martial arts. The same way MMA uses jiu jitsu and kickboxing.
steve smith hell no

Mycket bra ..
jag tackar er .
I see the basis of aikido in this art. Dirty boxing combined with a practical take on aikido...so that's what Krav is all about?
I'd love to be challenged on this fact but I'm not so certain that is possible: krav was in existence long before aikido.
@@nickv8728 That's such an old comment I was pretty ignorant. Bought into Aikido bullshit back then.
It depends what schools of Krav Maga. In Kapap, many techniques borrowed from MMA, Japanese Jujutsu and Panantukan as well.
I see some Ashihara Fullcontact Karate Principles. Sabaki is what i mean. Osu and kida!
what is it about Eastern Euros and that track suit lol
Brown Pants cus they OG like that.

This is aikido.
Anthony Lyle yes
Anthony Lyle Mówią, że Aikido jest nieskuteczne na ulicy, ale jak widać krav maga podkrada od nich pomysły
" Like dis " LOL
There should be a law against teaching b.s.
Unless you you are fighting a child or a drunk you will not be able to control your opponent like that just by holding there wrist.
I don't think anyone would be willing to dislocate the wrist just to get out of the hold.

+Julian Della Bosca its used for disarming people with weapons in military situations. people that are not trained in martial arts.
