    Thanks for the video, it really helped me prepare for the bracket and engine guard install. I was able to use a Rok strap to hold the muffle up while installing the bracket and it worked well while allowing some movement. It may be my imagination, but my exhaust has a slightly better sound after I installed the bracket and doing the spark arrestor cleaning. The exhaust manifold bolts were pretty loose when I remove them, so maybe there was a slight leak. My CRF1100 only has 4K miles on it. That 6mm bolt on the right side bracket was a real pain to get threaded; leaving the exhaust hanging helped (I think you mentioned that in the other video).

    Great video. Been waiting for this! Thanks for the tip on the exhaust seals. Seems strange that the bracket kit didn't include these. I have the bracket kit and the engine guards. Still in the box. Waiting on the light bar to arrive as well. It's been on back order for over two months! I'm told it's suppose to arrive in the next week of so. Will be studying your video's closely prior to completing my install. Thanks again!

      Thanks! Haven't had any update on my light bar yet.

    This is a good video. Thanks for putting it together. Would it be easier to remove the O2 sensors from the exhaust as you would if you were swaping out the exhaust rather than unplug them from the bike? Especially since you need to replace the gasket anyway. Thanks again for the great video!

      I would agree removing the 02 s would be a better option if you were replacing the exhaust. They have to come out anyway so why unplug them if you're taking them out.

      @@SkyhookStudios I’m not replacing the exhaust. It just seems it would be easier to remove the O2 sensors rather than unplug them at the bike when lowering the exhaust to install the mounts. You have really easy access to them. Much more so than the pin connectors.

      In my profession, if you don't have to remove them, don't. Since it's a new bike, the threads will probably be fine but if it was older I would discourage doing so.

    Thanks for the video but this seems very complicated. My honda atas 1100 engine guard was already mounted. I want to add upper body too but wanted touratech it seems like better not try. What do you think should I better add Honda original? ✌✌✌👍

      It's not that complicated. I'm posting that video this weekend.

      @@SkyhookStudios my lower engine guard was already mounted when I bought it so adding original Honda upper body guard will not be complicated but the problems is that I want to change engine and upper body guard both touratech . So what do you think do I have remove all the parts? Sorry for my English

    • @SkyhookStudios
      @SkyhookStudios  4 роки тому +1

      The install of the tourtech equipment looks very similar to the Honda factory equipment. But you already have half the guards with the Honda ones so why spend extra money replacing them? Just get the upper Honda ones and save a out 400 bucks.

      @@raywickenden4150 Damn! Sorry to hear that. Perhaps your local Honda dealer can order it for you. I feel your pain. The USA bikes do not come with factory fog light support like your do.

    Excellent video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸
    My ATAS-ES DCT only has 7 miles, do you think I have to install new exhaust copper gasket?
    Thanks for assisting me.

      If the exhaust is removed then a new header gasket needs to be fitted. They are crush gaskets and will not form properly a second time.

    Skyhook, the motor won’t drop when removing the OEM thru bolts on OEM bracket?

    Hi,
    Love your videos. I'm buying my Africa Twin Adventure Sport next week in black. Manual version with quick shifter.
    I buy the engin guards at the same time. Question: can we consider the light bars as crash bars or are they just there to support for the lights?
    If they're real crabs bars, I might buy them too.
    Thanks.

      I have not had the opportunity to "test" them in the field but they seem strong. I think there are stronger options out there but these work nicely.

    Where can i get exhaust gasket?

    • @GreatEgret
      @GreatEgret 4 роки тому

      Order them from your Honda dealer or get cheap ones from a lot of places online. Look for Honda part number 18291-MM8-880.

      Your video made it look easy to install the new exhaust gaskets. I ended up with an exhaust leak despite everything looking good. Going to have to order more and try again.

    Omg redundant, over the top redundant which offends people who know how to install a grommet.
