I was admittedly bored when I decided to add a mystery button that locks all the doors and turns the cockpit into a vacuum chamber. Doesn't take long.

Hahaha that is a good self defence weapon against enemy boarders. Lock them in an create a vacuum!

Hey man, I have been watching your vids for a while, and I have to say that I enjoy your work a lot. You serve as the perfect replacement for NJ. You are currently the #1 Stormworks UA-camr I watch. Even with me having upwards of 700 hours on the game, I am still able to learn things from you. Tysm 454ss!!! ❤

I think the reason you can hold your breath for so long is because you can swim super fast. I tested and you can swim like 11 to 12 mph and even a little faster underwater. Whereas a real average person can probably only swim like 2 to 3 mph in an all out sprint type of swimming. Its all about balance.

A quick, irrelevant question, because I've seen so far you're the most knowledgeable person of the compressed gas mechanism. Sorry in advance, I'm a big noob who hasn't been playing with any jet engines myself yet. Some of the questions below might be too obvious or clueless, but this game doesn't have much up-to-date information easily reachable.
    0. tl:dr; Can you make your own turbofan using jet turbines and connected propellers? Not turboprop. Does this actually increase air intake?
    1. Does air intake change correspond to relative air speed? I heard the air density decrease with altitude even before the compressed gas, so altitude must change air intake, but speed?
    2. Any player-impised mechanism, such as a propeller ahead, can change fluid intake by their side effect? I'm not referring to some "obvious" mechanisms, of which primary role is modifying fluid intake.
    3. If any of the questions above are true, how intuitive or real-ish are they? Like, can you make a working turbofan, if possible, without extensively studying the implemented mechanism of this game?

Haha! I was testing out pressure with a test chamber just yesterday myself, although I was using NPCs for the tests. I have to admit that NPCs were hurt during the testing. 😂🤣

1:05 19 seconds breath hold, decent for someone with terminal lung cancer
while playing i have noticed that character runs out of oxygen very quickly but haven't realized just how comically fast character runs out

I did this almost right after the update, and I believe that I was the first to make a vaccum and pressure chamber on the workshop.

You should have tested whether the diving suits work in space

they do not, they provide oxygen, but do not protect from lack of pressure

Do you happen to know if the nitrogen on the gas meter has any affect in game?

    • @noobartz0890
      @noobartz0890 8 місяців тому

so far i haven't noticed that it influences anything, however, you can get it from air using centrifugal separator (but you can't get rid of it completely, output gas will still have some nitrogen, so you can't just use air to get oxygen, as every separator will get some nitrogen from pervious separator and will get just it, ignoring everything else (this is not physically accurate btw, oxygen and CO2 have larger density then nitrogen)) and catalic converter converts CO2 into nitrogen and a bit of oxygen
however I'm not sure if all gases have same density in game, like liquids, or if they are different, and if they all have different efficiency in RCS thrusters

You wouldnt want to take a dive into gasoline, not sure about diesel but gasoline is a serious solvent and the fumes are extremely toxic too, I assume it passes through your skin
Also I used to be able to freedive and got quite good at it when I was a teen. Your body's metabolism changes with water temperature and your psychological and physiological response can vary with training, health, age and situation. Theres a whole bunch of charts about this that people doing maritime SAR use to triage casualties at sea.
