your channel is great resource for Lexus owners. although I drive 2008 GS350, your videos are helping greatly, I appreciate your effort to help us. It will help me to keep the car for few years as it has only 138K. The cost of repairs by dealers or auto shops will make it impossible to hold on this old car, but channels like your allows me to do so by DIY repairs.
I personally bought the rr racing lca bushing because they have a solid mounted version where that center pin sits on a bearing rather than a bushing itself. It makes for a solid as ride tho 🤷🏾♂️ Clean install like always though.
You make it look so easy. I bought these bushing and I received them today, I was planning on using my impact wrench and other tools. Unfortunately the metal sleeve that i have doesn't go all the way to 82mm. I'm now stuck because I would have to buy the same kit you have to make it work.
@@TunerwithKids Definitely. I found a local shop in LA that will do it for 25 each. I just hope they don't damage the bushings. I had a bad experience before at a different shop, they damaged the bushings and put them in wrong.
I reached out to superpro and they said all the bushings come with the tubes installed/won't be able to order with them separate. I'm worried I won't be able to take the tube out even with hydraulic press as it's not prelubed. I think I'm gonna stick to rubber with a harder durometer, as I'm not confident polyurethane won't squeak without being able to lude the ribbed casing as you did
I'm looking install the same ones. Do I need to do all 4 wheels or can I get away with just the front 2? My is350 is currently on coilovers and I plan on installing some camber kit
Great video and a new subscriber. About two months ago my wife bought a 2017 IS300 AWD and I bought a 2018 ES. I’m trying to understand the suspension issues. Does the IS300 have the same bushing issues? Also, help me understand what the issue is with ppl talking about the rear tire wear and rear camber kits. The IS received an alignment at the Lexus dealership right before we bought it. So, any help would be great. Thanks so much.
Front issue is the flex from these stock bushings causes toe out during braking. This causes the inner wear. Wear on these cars isn’t an issue. Most people wear the rear tires evenly across.
@@TunerwithKids thank you. So, we shouldn’t worry about rear camber then? If it’s just the front…I’ll order a set of bushings and install them. My wife drives the car and it’s mainly used for short commutes. I just put new CrossClimate2 (staggered) on hers and the same tires on my ES. We want the tires to last. Thx again for the quick response.
I have a 06 is250 awd with 90k miles, my ride quality is horrible and my steering wheel jerks over bumps. None of my shocks are leaking, and I have no play in the suspension. Just passed safety check. Wondering if anyone one has had these issues and what suspension components have been replaced around 100k miles. Great video! Been interested in these for a while
100K miles shouldn't be much on the suspension but after 16 years, some of the bushings may be rotted. Rough ride could also be internal shock leakage too so its no longer dampening.
I had the same issue with my 07 lexus is250 at 86k miles, and I fixed it by replacing the front tires that were unevenly worn from the soft LCA bushings. Quality tires fixed my issue and then I installed Figs 90 durometer bushings to prevent the uneven tire wear. My car now as 111k miles and my front tires have even wear across the tire with zero issues of unpredictable steering.
Hello, from south Florida Hey, I noticed you had a lot of corrosion on your nuts a lot, what would be the best solution to remove corrosion on any of the parts
Surface rust can be sanded or wire wheeled and coated with paint. If it’s really bad, need to remove as much as you can and paint to slow it down. Most S.FL cars shouldn’t have this issue unless it’s from north or lives at the beach.
@@TunerwithKids Many thanks for the quick response; I saw your vid and other's vids doing everything while car is jacked; however, some people say for loading purpose we need to torque while wheels are on the ground which is NOT possible unless the car is on ramps.
Your channel is a gold mine for us lexus 2is owners.

The GS350 chassis is almost identical to the IS chassis. 95% of my videos also apply to the GS.
I like it when you people says the torque spec to help others out ty man
Much better ugga muggas
Thanks for another great install video and how to jack up my is350! I had fun installing my FIG LCA's
Love this channel man. Straight knowledge and no BS.

Great job! These will definitely make a great improvement with the overall performance by adding stiffness to the front end! Awesome job
Man, wish u could have made this video a couple of years ago. Brought mine into the mechanic to do it

Everything is easy when you got the tools 🤣

Hello from Mooresville NC USA 🇺🇸
thanks for anothre great video binh
Can you make a video on how to install headers?
I don’t have any plans for headers.
Thanks you, very informative video. One question will that help with rear wheels inner wear? It seems my 2017 wear the inner edge faster.
Do you know what the part number is for the fronts, or are they the same?
Hi Binh, I'm looking into doing this, just wondering if this is only required for the rear or if there is a front set that is replaceable aswell
This is the only bushing people replace for this arm.
@@TunerwithKids I see, thanks for clearing that up for me
Chao anh Binh, thank you fro the video. Do you think I can remove and replace bushings by hand with manual press or clamp?
Still no squeaking? Since you're in Orlando tho it might not affect you. Heard it would squeak when temp gets low
Need a hydraulic press.

These are only for the front.
Which one should I use for my Lexus is f sport 2020 ?
Whichever one you feel is best. The 90 durameter I got is stiff.
Good job 👍

Will the SPF3491-90K fit into the OEM housing of a 3is 2017?
they should all be the same housing.
would i need an alignment after these?
Not really but it wouldn’t hurt to make sure toe is good.
Question, are these bushing squeaking now that you have had them for a while? Mine just started squeaking and it’s really bad. 😔
Naw. Check if it’s something else like Shock or control arm bushings?

Yea. You can feel every bump
Hello, from south Florida Hey, I noticed you had a lot of corrosion on your nuts a lot, what would be the best solution to remove corrosion on any of the parts
Soak in vinegar but it removes any zinc or other protective coatings. Paint after to protect. Or buy new OEM bolts.
OK cool but what about the metal frames?

Are you supposed to tighten the nut on the bushings after you put the car on the ground?
@Fuel98gs400 no since it moves inside bushing already. OEM yea but not for these.
Hey bro are you in Texas?
No. Orlando.
Good video. Did you torque the nut/bolts while the car wheels were on the ground or while the car is jacked up?
Jacked. It doesn’t matter as these aren’t loaded when tight.
@@TunerwithKids Many thanks for the quick response; I saw your vid and other's vids doing everything while car is jacked; however, some people say for loading purpose we need to torque while wheels are on the ground which is NOT possible unless the car is on ramps.
These spin inside anyway. Only OEM static bushings need preload.
nice.
