I'm only 20 minutes into watching this as I make my comment. I'm surprised at the lack of comments on this and only 763 views. I have been trying to reach Mark Frost (and David Lynch) about something that I found out on October 6, 2023. Let's see if you at TC PBS find this interesting. I believe that I have uncovered a hidden layer to Twin Peaks with my findings. The 708 address of the Palmer's can be thought of as July 8 (1947). That's when the newspapers published about Roswell. This cannot simply be waved off as coincidence as I have discovered additional clues that support a hidden subplot re: aliens, UFOs, abductions, etc. Sure, Mark Frost's 2016 books include his thoughts about aliens, etc. but that was not something stated overtly in the series. Here is another "clue" and it is the Welcome to Twin Peaks sign with the population of 51,201. "51" can be interpreted as Area 51. That is where the crashed Roswell saucer was claimed to be taken to. I'll include a third one. The actor Ray Wise was cast as Leland Palmer. If you switch the first and last names you end up with "Ray Palmer." He was linked with the "summer of the saucers" in 1947 as he was the editor of Amazing Stories and paid Kenneth Arnold $200 to interview several witnesses related to The Maury Island Incident. Ken reported seeing 9 "flying saucers" (the first time the term was used) weeks before Roswell and near Mt. Rainier in Washington state. Maury Island (considered a hoax now by many) preceded Arnold's experience by 3 days, making Maury Island the first encounter in 1947. Not Arnold and not Roswell. Maury Island was also where the term "Men in Black" was ever used (as a Man in Black visited the witnesses and was called that). There is much, much more to investigate like I have done. Maury Island has two deaths associated to it as well. A pilot and co-pilot (both Army AF investigators) were killed in the crash of the B-25 that was sent from Hamilton field CA to McChord field (WA) to transport "classified materials" (debris ejected by one of six UFOs seen over Puget Sound). On August 1, 1947 the left engine caught on fire as it was heading south (back to CA) and it crashed 10 miles east of Kelso, WA (where I live) at 2:30 AM. While many articles on the web say this was the first day of the brand new Air Force, my research states that the USAF didn't split from the Army until Sept. 19. However, President Truman declared Aug. 1 "Air Force Day" (this is where the others got it wrong) which was really the 40th birthday of the establishment of the US Army Signal Corp and when aircraft were added to the Army. Still, this is likely the first deaths in the brand new Air Force and where it has that distinction. Maury Island (for me) is NOT a hoax as many cite it to be. First, it is told that the witnesses said that it was a joke but the witnesses recanted this later, telling that they were threated if they didn't say it was false. Secondly, the Tacoma paper was told (after they published the bomber crash story and linked it with Maury Island) that the flight was a "joy ride" by the pilots. Later, the story was reversed and the Gov't. did say that the mission was real and that "classified materials" were aboard. There is a lot more that I could say but this is getting long. Anyway, I believe that Twin Peaks had this hidden layer and (blowing my own horn here) I have found it, 33 years after the 1990 premiere. You can decide if this is newsworthy. I believe that it is.
