Skervesen is not just a guitar manufacturer. It is an addiction! I have 3 skervs already. It doesn't matter if you order simple basic build or bleeding edge exotic wood custom inlay ntb beast. Build quality, playability, attention to details will always be on the top. So far I haven't found another guitar brand that brings me the same amount of GAS Joy.
For 2,5 grand it better be that.
@@lequack7399 As far as custom guitars go, 2500 is a very good price.
My Mayones and ESP custom shop are better than the Skervesens my buddy has. Not by much, but I choose them. Another buddy’s PRS Wood Library is bananas amazing too. I’m a bit jealous of that one.

@@joshbarnes6759 I have custom, PRS (wood library's etc 6 of the) Knaggs customs (6 of them) 3 Anderson custom shops 6 suhr custom builds Iconic, Jackon USA and 2 James tyler. My Skerv custom is equal to or greater than all of them playabilty, tone detail etc
I play constantly and am an ex Musicians Institute grad and LA session player

Great review Trey! I have mine since 3 years now and I still can't believe how reliable the guitar is. No matter if temperature changes or after transportation it stays in tune and the neck doesn't move a bit!

This accoustic mode gives amazing sound. I for the first time see such knob selection solution in guitars. IMO very ergonomic and flexible solution. The shape of head is also very nice, original in some sense anyway very tasty

Skervesen are my dream guitar brand. I'm pretty sure I need a Swan model - but I haven't decided on a 6, 7 or 8 string model. They make works of art that you can play, as you said early in the video.

It’s still in the works, got some pictures last week after it got sprayed. I got to hold it when I was in Poland over the summer too, it’s real sick and looks gorgeous.

"Gear Addict Me" - That looks great! I need to look at ordering something like that.
"Reality Me" - Why? So it can sit in its case while you play the same PRSs & Teles that you always do.
Also, that lead middle tone is superb! So smooth and articulate, what's not to like!?
Anybody know if you can request a custom fretboard radius? I’ve considered ordering one someday with a straight 16” radius and I’ve only heard from one source saying that Skervsesen usually use a compound fingerboard radius, with the radius differing depending on the number of string on the guitar.
As i like Raptor, i think that Nebelung is way better in every aspect. Gotta love blue Skervs.
How would you say this compares in terms of quality, sound and playability to something mass produced like an Ibanez Axion?

@Mendozer01 Ormsby built them because a large group of guitarists from sevenstring.org asked him to. Doug had his chance but didn't capitalise.

Just learn Master of Puppets, then sit with a metronome and play it at increasingly fast tempos
I think the hardest for me trey is managing tension. When i downpick my arm tenses up.
Ive been using that method on my last creation my gojira and its getting better but not that fast and theres still tension
Black machine are overhyped POS's. Why do people waste their money on mediocre guitars.
