When the typhoon occurs it's dangerous if you're not known and you're new to living on the island. You need to ask some locals or local government authorities to know what the real situation in the island when the typhoon comes.

But I have a question for you Jay and Sacha : do you know if the story of the movie was told in french ? This movie seems to be produced by Arte which is a good French-German educational Channel. Sometimes I watch good documentaries on this channel.

Nature is fast recovering which is a fact from a survivor living and working inside the Clark City / Airport when the most powerful vulcano Mount Pinatubo erupted past century on 15/16th June 1991 in the Philippines ! Siargao Island is lying at the edge of the Pacific Oceans "Ring of Fire" where you will experience regular typhoons, earthquakes and vulcanic eruptions! A classic sample that nature in and around Siargao Island recovers fast is the destruction brought by typhoon Odette (Dec 2021) !!
Sadly, the next generation will be humans as well. But lets hope by then people will have involved into a respectable breed instead of total greed generation.
