காற்றையும் எரிபொருளையும் சிலிண்டருக்குள் இருக்கும் பிஸ்டன், கம்ப்ரஸ் செய்யும்போது ஸ்பார்க் பிளக்கில் உருவாகும் தீ மூலம் இன்ஜின் இயங்குவதுதான் பொதுவாக நடக்கும் விஷயம். இங்கே இந்த வேலை நடந்து கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, வேண்டா விருந்தாளியாக தண்ணீர் நுழையும்போது, கம்ப்ரஸனில் குளறுபடி ஏற்படும்.
சைலன்ஸர் வழியாக முதல் சிலிண்டருக்குள் தண்ணீர் நுழையும்போது, பிஸ்டன் மேலே கீழே இயங்குவதில் பிரச்னை ஏற்பட்டு, பிஸ்டனையும் க்ராங்க்ஷாஃப்ட்டையும் இணைக்கும் கனெக்ட்டிங் ராடு, வளைந்துபோகும். காரை ஓட்டும்போதே இன்ஜினில் ஒரு வேண்டாத சத்தம் கேட்கும். உடனே காரை நிறுத்தி விடுவது நல்லது. இல்லையென்றால், பர்ஸுக்கும் நமக்கும் ஆபத்து.

This is wrong' In a engine air is compresed normally,when water is entered it cannot able to compress it due to that connecting rod is bending or broken ( Pascal's law Liquid cannot be compressed ) it is called as Hydrostatic lock not Engine Seized
