Live-A-Live was great, I had a blast the entire time and I really enjoyed how old school it felt to play. The original isn't a game that I have played, but now I'm eager to try it out. I was surprised by how much I connected with Live-A-Live and it felt like it was the perfect game for me to be playing at the moment all the way through. This game is now one of the classics in my mind.

Yeah. It really is the pinnacle of an old school feel.

Thanks for the excellent content, as always!
I just finished Live-A-Live a few days ago. I’d say I enjoyed just about every minute (i.e., minus some painful grinding to beat the final boss) of the 35 hours I spent with the game. It was actually the most refreshing jrpg I played in a while-and that coming from a game made in 1994, go figure. My favourite chapters would have to be the Edo-era Japan one (open-world goodness) and the distant future one. The mini game in the distant future (Captain Square) was probably my favourite part of the game in terms of strategic combat. It was almost puzzle-like at times. And finding that memory card! Now onto that Switch port of Nier Automata for me. Cheers.

I'm making my way through Nier as well. Definitely an amazing narrative. And thanks for the support!
