I believe he's playing a character, similar to Screech. Ren said in his Twitch live stream after the release that this video takes place chronologically before Animal Flow. The Human he abducts (I think he called him Joe) is the same guy hanging by his wrists in the opening shot of Animal Flow video. Ren said "They are all connected" while tapping his head. It is amazing how this person can continue to blow minds. We now live in the Reniverse

3 Months prior, Ren put out a short TikTok like video of part of the song 'Murderer', where he starts rapping. That is 'Ren I was Born'. I was so freaking spellbound by the shorter version and just thorught to myself, I hope Ren puts this out as a single. Now we have this genius song in full. Let's also point out a signature Ren style of the one-shot camera action. Whoever is behind the camera is just as awesome.
I also saw that short and was not disappointed at all with the full version. Everything Ren releases is magic ✨❤️

Ren is just something very special. Musical genius, word wizard, and cheeky bugger 😅 Whether he is flexing or going deep with the lyrics, it is always fire! 🔥
Something that always stuck with me was a bit of parenting advice, "Don't praise your kids for how well they do; praise them for how hard they work." Ren embodies this philosophy for me: just a sort of never-say-die, I'm-doing-this-thing-and-you-can't-stop-me-so-get-out-of-the-way-or-I-will-run-you-over mentality that blows past all challenges into greatness. You can feel it in everything he does. I think that's why he is resonating with people on such a different level.
That is actually kind of an interesting advice if you really think about it. I mean what kind of message each of those (or the third alternative of praise them for who they are) sends and what kind of stuff it encourages.
When Ren drops a new track, you know I'm hitting all the reaction channels.
I go to reactions before the actual track. I love his music, but I love everyone's reactions just as much. I use the reaction videos as my hype peeps. 💖 Seeing everyone excited gets me turnt. 💪

I like that he also releases music like this that can easily be dropped in the clubs and be played on the radio without ever getting too shallow with his lyrics. Of course, from an artistic standpoint, tracks like “Hi Ren” are more outstanding and unique, but for what it is, “Murderer” is a thousand times better than 99,9 % of what the mainstream music industry has to offer. And then the one take video- I mean, hello??!! Epic!!!

I spoke to Jake, the pig man, on discord. Apparently ithe licence plate SOUNDS like it should mean something but its actually just his normal licence plate! He's selling it btw!!
I don't know if it's better or worse to be singing murderer instead of su*cide when stopped at a light with the windows down but this is definitely a crank in the car song.
Someone in the Twitch stream asked about the license plate. Ren said it was just the plate the car had --- wasn't planned, no meaning.
The flow from 'blood splat' onward is absolutely incredible stuff - I wanted it to last so much longer 😂

I wonder if the guy in the trunk turns up in money game 3? Just when he mentioned mortgage application being turned down made me think is it leading to money game. Been listening to nothing but ren and ren related music for months now. He hits so many genres it never gets old. Some of my favourites, ocean (with Eden Nash) dignity,,, oh my woman ( big push) what you want (ren).

This is so tight. He borrowed just enough from Barrington Levy's version of "Murderer" to keep a reggae vibe, but make it his own. Such a vibe!
Ren has amazing taste
It's really hard to pick a top 5. All of Rens songs are so damn good. Chalk Outlines, Power, Hi Ren, Diazepam and Suicide would probably be my top 5. But this song goes up towards the top. It's so damn catchy and fun to rap along with. All while being an absolute banger.

Great job as usual Rosalie….you know what I love about Ren?…and I was trying to get other people to listen to him over 2 years ago…is that he never coasts…every song is not only different but also bursting with talent. Ren is good enough to put half an effort into a song and it’s still be great..but he never does that, he always writes, performs and produces his art like he’ll never get another chance, he never rides the wave of his growing popularity and fame…he just does things with 100% of his heart. I think Ren would make the same music even if he did it for free… he’s a legend..

This song was taped March of 22. Yhe whole album is descibed by him as dark and was hip hop to gain sone respect in that genre. So i expected darker themes and rapping. The next album for next year is descibed as light and more lyrical. I lived the bounce and reggae dound of this. He is unapologetic about everything he creates. I remembet Samuel and Jish beinf adked fir an embarrassing story abot Ren and they said they didn't have one cuz Ren was shameless!😂

I love every Ren joint, like most of the world. Play his stuff on repeat. But I will confess, the first listen doesn’t always get me. 4 or 5 times now, I’ve just felt so-so about a new song. Thinking about that, I think his bar heavy stuff takes me longer because I just can’t process all the creativity at once. After a half

Two things:
1. Your hair looks so cool! Whoever did the coloring was on point.
2. Ren did a great Job on this one and it really showcases his love for OG hip hop with the beat and rhyme schemes. I love when you can see someones inspirations come through their work. Its almost like even the ones who are gone are living through his music just from being influences alone.
This could be a prequel to the Animal Flow

The reggae link that was immediate for me when he said it had a touch of reggae but mainly hip hop, along with the song title is Barrington Levy - Murderer, even how Ren pronounces Murderer just reminds of Barrington Levy. Great reaction! Like so many of us, I love pretty much every Ren song, and my “favorites” often change day to day depending on my mood, but a few that are consistently up there (aside from the obvious masterpieces like Hi Ren, Jenny and Screech, and his collabs with Chinchilla) are Ready For You, Heretic, the Love Music Series (1, 2, and 3 are all great, and part 4 drops next week I think), Power, Losing It, Money Game 1&2, and Patience. I also frequently listen to the song he and Sam Tompkins co-wrote, Blind Eyed, and there are several Big Push original songs that are just as high up my list as some of my favorite Ren songs, like Precious, Dignity, All My Heroes, and Watch Out, to name a few.

What You Want is still my favorite song but this one is my favorite chorus if that makes sense. What You Want is just pure fun whereas Murd3r3r does to me seem like almost a response but not to people who are hating on him. That's how I took it. The chorus to me sounds like a mix of jazz and swing from past mixed with today's fast rap...
yess you are one of the first reviewers checking the plate. Its about the the Chinese hackers group ( state profounded) that were abble to hack into the system to steal the F22 technology that made it possible for the chinese to create their own stealth plane J20. The Chinese hackers came into the zone ...if you know what I mean.

In the Twitch stream following the release of Murderer - Ren was asked about the meaning of the licence plate and he said it had no meaning - it was just the license plate of the car they borrowed for the video. That makes sense bec this video was made more than a yr ago - dropping it on July 20 was not on his must do list . He was preparing to come to Canada and get healthy .

Really like your insights into Ren's music. Don't read too much into the car registration plate, this an old standard British number plate which people buy to make their cars more interesting. Sometimes it will be their initials on the plate somewhere, or it will be a funny word (but not rude, we are British!!). This plate is quite cool as it is quite short compared to a modern one. The one thing I do get when I look at it, and this may well relate to Ren's video (intentionally or not), I immediately see the word HOAX.

dudes cut like a freaking washboard, say that cause look a few years back when he was sick compared to now. Not easy to do healthy let alone going threw treatments and all that, the hook on this was catchy to. Think we all have this mindset time to time..and the finger in the butt line was a double lol..he said the word shocking right before and I hope to god Im not the only one here familiar with what "the shocker" is lmao.
