Adult type fibrosarcoma is a type of fibrous connective tissue cancer. It can develop anywhere in the body. It tends to metastasize (spread of a tumour from its site of origin to other parts of the body) to the lungs and bones. It also tends to recur after treatment.
What is Fibrous Connective Tissue?
Fibrous connective tissue is composed of collagen fibres. Collagen gives elasticity and strength to tendons, muscles, and ligaments thereby helping in body movement.
