I had a large sarcoma removed from the rear of my right thigh in Oct 2020. Upto sitting on a hard garden bench I had had no symptoms of any kind. It felt like I was sitting on a paperback book. I was unaware that the rear of my thigh was swollen. April 2024. Both legs functioning equally well. I just have a neat scar most of the length of my thigh. There are some after effects from the radiation treatment but not too unpleasant. Best wishes to everyone.

I hear you. cancer freaking sucks big time. John died Jan. 16, 2016. I'm still bawling my head off everyday. I loved him dearly. we we're married 18 years 1 month and 16 days. this depression is getting me really down. I don't want to do anything. I've even almost stopped eating.

It's been eight years an I'm here looking through videos on sarcoma cancers. How are you doing? I always read thru the comments. We all all here for one reason, Cancer. I have just been diagnosed with a rare cancer in my left ankle called leiomyosarcoma. About to start radiation therapy then after those treatments I will have limb sparing surgery to remove the tumor and surrounding tissues. Amputation of the foot an ankle was recommended, but I just can't. I'm a senior an I don't want to be wheel chair bound. Of all the patients I see as I'm sitting in the waiting room, those with Amputations are in wheel chairs. Some might be from bone cancer a lot are from diabetes. The ones I've seen so far are elderly like myself. It's hard on my husband more so than me. I've been his care taker now for 16 years. He's worried about himself an who will take care of him. It's hard to deal with all this. I pray you you are doing better now. That each day you're given is a blessing. Try and move on enjoy life as much as you can.

Yea it's very hard without him here. We were separated. But that didn't mean I didn't still love him. My future husband, has been my rock through this. Just right now he can't be with me like we both want. I'll always love John. He was my first husband.

I was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma back in February of this year. I found out that this lump that I had in my hand for 6 years was cancer this whole entire time. I'm just grateful because it could've took my life. As a result I hand to go thru radiation and then they amputated my index finger. It was one hell of a journey and still is.

I noticed a non-painful lump on my right biceps muscle a few months ago. It seemed to have gotten a bit larger so I went to the doc. He ordered an MRI and it came back so "normal" that the report sounded like the Radiologist didn't see any evidence that ANYTHING was actually there. I've decided to seek another opinion. This just doesn't feel "right".

I have leiomyosarcoma cancer in my left ankle. Thru with radiation surgery coming up on two weeks. Surgeon wanted to amputate but i just can't. Limb sparing surgery is what i have chosen, which i have seen a plastic surgeon to reconstruct the area once surgeon has removed the tumor and surrounding tissue hoping to get a clesr margin. She informed me that getting a clear margin is going to be difficult in that small space. Hoping she won't leave the foot with no use. A lot to think about. I'm a senior and my five year outlook with nothing none is fair. Maybe i should do nothing just live day to day as long as i can not in hospitals and being tested all the time. I have spent so much time going to Drs this year. Since it's rare i have to travel over a hundred miles just going to see my surgeon/ oncology.

I lost my dear son of Lung Soft Tissue Sarcoma, 17 yo abt 10 months ago. In Aug 2020 in his sleep after 5 days final palliative treatment in a very private care hospital. .
The doctor expected him to die soon. The last day, the doctor forced me to bring him home eventho he looked very healthy on the last day. Even he has having shortness of breath aided by oxygen, he look so healthy at that time. I do think, the death will be extended for stretching another 2-3 months.
We cared for him well that night until we were faill asleep at 230am. Once my wife woke up at 5am, my son just seemed leave us couple minutes ago I think. And I remembering him very tight everyday. Lost him very dear. 😭😭😭
