Why? Not many people interested in playing fundamental Tekken perhaps. Or maybe people don't know about me. Or perhaps I haven't deserved enough subs yet with my style of videos. One other thing I think about is that... not everyone is a Bryan player LOL. But thank you Raivazz. I appreciate you if you have subbed. Just a thank you in advanced just in case ^_^
One note: d/f+2,1 > d/b+1+2 is his best wall break option if you've already done a full combo (and haven't already used up wall hits). It can be a little inconsistent on small characters though, in which case you can do 1,2 > d/b+1+2. Talking about wall breaks is a whole other can of worms though. Great video, as always.
Yes you are correct. Lol, wall breaks is a whole new can of worms. And d/f+2,1 > d/b+1+2 is indeed best wall ender if you have used up wall hits. I also found it extremely inconsistent at times on small characters.
@@PeterYMao The inconsistency is annoying because it feels like if you go into practice mode against Xiaoyu and try it out, it rarely ever drops. But then as soon as you get in a real match on Howard Estate and try to finish off your combo with it, the d/b+1+2 whiffs and you get launched 😑 It seems like it has a lot to do with the angle. If your dead on, it'll usually hit. But if you're at any angle to the wall, it's liable to drop.

d+3+4,2 is an okay wall ender in certain situations, not your standard go to in my opinion, but that's just me. Thanks again for enjoying the content and leaving awesome comments. Love ya bro.
I have been a bryan player for a long time and it is embarrasing for me to not finish a wall combo due to my over keepout tactics. But after seeing this? This is really gonna help.
If your opponent does not stand up after the wall combo and you want MORE DMG do QCF3,4 Double Knees without the delay after that DB1+2 is guaranteed if the opponent does not stand up for +25 more DMG, this will beat anything beside tech rolling, but its not good if you want oki, this is only if your opponent does not stand up after the wall combo and you want more damage.

@PeterYMao, what is the technique progression you recommend? For example learning/"mastering" blocking -> learning/"mastering" movement -> learning/"mastering" punishing -> learning/"mastering" combos -> learning/"mastering" optimal combos? I'm sure you've mentioned in this in other videos, and as I'm essentially going through all of your videos, I'm sure I will stumble across the answer sooner or later. Jw though in the meantime, THANK YOU!
1) basic combos (doesn't need to be optimal) 2) movement (doesn't even have to be korean back dash) just getting clean inputs of moving or backdash into sidestep is important 3) block punishing (at least block punishing your with proper 10fr and launcher punisher) 4) whiff punishing (even basic whiff punishing with a fast 10fr move can be a good start) 5) sidestepping (understanding when your character wants to side step and side walk) 6) waking up off the ground 7) pressing / avoiding pressure Those are roughly the things you need to get a good grasp of the game, and be on your way to learning the game properly. Optimal combos are something I generally stay away from because they require soooo much time to learn and develop that other aspects of the game are a far better use of time. You could spend 10 hours practicing an optimal combo and only get the opportunity to land it 2-3 times in 10 games.. or you could get down how to sidestep and use it in every round of every game. Optimal combos are over rated especially for people who are just learning the game, and don't fully feel comfortable with the game.

d+3+4, 2 is a bad keep out tool as, you are better off using just 3+4. 3+4 has great CH potential where as d+3+4, 2 you can not hit confirm it and it's also - on block and brings you very close to the opponent where you can be punished. As a wall splat ender, it is very very situational. I would try to go for d/b+1+2 if possible

Hey Peter, I just picked up tekken 7 like 3 and a half weeks ago (my first tekken game) picked up Bryan, because of the way he looks and his MMA fighting style and I want to main him. I started watching your videos and made it to Marauder by spamming some simple combos but when faced with yellow, orange and other higher ranks I get absolutely destroyed most of the times. It feels like theres a mountain things I need to learn, sometimes it's just gets frustrating. Can you tell me how long does it take to become a good Bryan player? And I panic when it comes to executing combos in game, how do I fix that? Last thing, I play on ps4 controller and things like hatchet kick, soccer kick, and even trying to move how high ranked players do seems impossible I end up jumping when I try to side step in different directions do I have to buy a fight stick or something? Sorry for barraging you with all of these questions but I love the game and want to continue playing it and go to higher ranks. Love your videos bro and please make more videos for lower to medium ranks, Thanks.
For future reference on long questions like these, please join my discord so I can better help you answer them (link in description of videos), as writing them on UA-cam is a pain in the ass. Never the less here is a quick answer to your questions 1) How long does it take to be a good Bryan [This really depends on you, and depending on what you mean by good. I would say a minimum of at least a year if you are new, maybe 2.] 2) I panic when it comes to executing combos in game, how do I fix? [This is something you just get better with time. Play against the computer, play player matches, not ranked matches. And try to focus on 1 or 2 things when playing not everything] 3) Buy a fight stick ONLY IF YOU ARE SUPER SERIOUS. It can be quite an investment depending on your financial situation, but I would say get interested in the game, and if you are sure you want to get a fight stick then get one. A fight stick will not magically make your execution better. In fact once you get it you will actually have to relearn a lot of things like just pressing up, down, left, right, and might even have to relearn your combos as it is a different control so it will feel different. Hope that helps you out bro.
To make the judgement call to do a f,F+2 on a high wall splat into a combo of choice is a very advanced level technique which is out of the scope of an intermediate guide which this is. The reason I think it is an advanced level technique is because: 1) You need to know exactly the distance at which you can hit a f,F+2 without jeopardizing the opportunity to all together lose a wall combo 2) It also sometimes involves things like doing a f,F~b~f,F+2 motion in order to cover the proper space to land a f,F+2. Since you can not do a regular f,F+2 if you are in a WR state. 3) I also don't think it is necessarily something that an intermediate Bryan player should focus hours and hours on to improve their game. The opportunities where a f,F+2 high wall splat into a combo is far less frequent than say a regular wall splat or a low wall splat. Because of those compounding reasons I did not include it in this intermediate Bryan Wall Combo. Thanks for reading this and understanding :) I hope it makes logical sense.
How do I cancel the b3 into d/b 1+2? I heard that it was up but after a little bit of labbing I couldn’t get it to work. Very new Bryan and tekken player btw
I wouldn't worry to much about that right now. If you're new to Bryan and Tekken I would personally work on other first before tackling that. But that's just my recommendation.
feel emberassed using df 1 2 all the time :( Hey also wanted to ask what do you think about b 3 f into chains of misery as a mixup on a turtle opponents?
Also, don't feel embarrassed. As I said in the video, these videos are meant to teach people :) I make these videos so you guys can learn and get better ^_^
Damage across the board for all characters at the wall is reduced by 10 percent. But the options in order of damage is still very relevant. Nothing has change for his wall options.
@@PeterYMao Thanks Peter. Your videos helped me a lot in learning Tekken with Bryan. I've only been using delayed knees for wall just because it feels right without knowing why. And also happy Lunar new year. I wish happiness and good health for you and your family, especially your new born kid. Hope you can continue making videos soon. Big fan from Vietnam.
Please check out my video on oki. You can find it in my intermediate fundamental playlist... or you can click here. ua-cam.com/video/nKS9-O8Ycqg/v-deo.html
Often times if not done perfectly the opponent drops out from a combo at the wall. Also please try it yourself and see the damage different between that and delayed knees.
Back 3, forward, neutral (nothing for one frame), up. It ends in a side step which you can cancel into anything as soon as it begun Its the same for every quarter circle forward dash any characte including bryan has as well.
Taunt b+3 into JU is not a thing. Do you mean b+4 into JU? At the wall b+4 into JU is a true combo as long as your timing is on point. MAX Damage at the wall is (b+4 -> JU -> f,F+4 -> b+3~f+3>4)
Yes, that's good, but only in the right situations. Sometimes it's not good to use that to break walls because you max out your wall hits and the next wall you lose wall hits. It really depends on the situation. There is no one size fits all :)
I really dont know WHY your channel isnt blowing up.. your content is just amazing

I personally don't like u/b+1+2 because sometimes at the wrong angle, the opponent can slip out.
Any reason u didnt include ff2 on high wallsplat to combo of choice? Great video btw, didnt know about the df2,1- db1+2 oki situation.
To make the judgement call to do a f,F+2 on a high wall splat into a combo of choice is a very advanced level technique which is out of the scope of an intermediate guide which this is. The reason I think it is an advanced level technique is because:
1) You need to know exactly the distance at which you can hit a f,F+2 without jeopardizing the opportunity to all together lose a wall combo
2) It also sometimes involves things like doing a f,F~b~f,F+2 motion in order to cover the proper space to land a f,F+2.
PeterYMao damn, thats more than enough tyty, great video as always! will u get to advanced stuff like that eventually?
@@TheEndFreestyle Absolutely, but I will probably go over more practical situations. You will understand when I get to them.
Mango.. even if I didnt find it yet but for YT Algorithm
Great video and thx for the help
I only do the MAX DAMAGE ULTRA OPTIMAL COMBO with the blue spark gatling rush
whats teh combo at 2:46 which lead into teh wallcombo indeed?
How do I cancel the b3 into d/b 1+2? I heard that it was up but after a little bit of labbing I couldn’t get it to work. Very new Bryan and tekken player btw
You need to input "up" after "b+3, f" . The timing is strict tho. You Press "up", immidiately followed with " d/b+1+2".
So its in fact "back 3 forward cancel" technically
Kazusus0 Thank you!
I wouldn't worry to much about that right now. If you're new to Bryan and Tekken I would personally work on other first before tackling that. But that's just my recommendation.
Thanks for helping out Kazusus ^_^
Mango water ice is actually my favorite
Oooh, I’ve never had that. Sounds like something I need to try
13:48 I feel personally attacked.
not just you, nearly 80% of Bryan players are using this option.
because 80% of bryan players are not pros who can throw taunts freely, just backdash, logical
feel emberassed using df 1 2 all the time :(
Hey also wanted to ask what do you think about b 3 f into chains of misery as a mixup on a turtle opponents?
It's okay to mix in every now and then. Chains will get it's own video.
Also, don't feel embarrassed. As I said in the video, these videos are meant to teach people :) I make these videos so you guys can learn and get better ^_^
Okay so I’m new to tekken what is okie?
I have a video of it in my channel. You can check it out there :)
Ok ok I peep the superdry
lol :P
what about
up/Lft 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,4
It doesn’t land on all characters also you can test for yourself. Does that do more damage than b+3, f+3,4?
@@PeterYMao i put that before the video lol
It was meant to be a joke.
You went through it and i completely agree.
5:07 nice subliminal messaging lmao
Sssssh, don't tell them.
mango my good sir
👍👍😄
Is this video still correct in 2022?
Damage across the board for all characters at the wall is reduced by 10 percent. But the options in order of damage is still very relevant. Nothing has change for his wall options.
@@PeterYMao Thanks Peter. Your videos helped me a lot in learning Tekken with Bryan. I've only been using delayed knees for wall just because it feels right without knowing why.
And also happy Lunar new year. I wish happiness and good health for you and your family, especially your new born kid.
Hope you can continue making videos soon.
Big fan from Vietnam.
what is "oki"?
Please check out my video on oki. You can find it in my intermediate fundamental playlist... or you can click here. ua-cam.com/video/nKS9-O8Ycqg/v-deo.html
What about the back 12121212121?
Often times if not done perfectly the opponent drops out from a combo at the wall. Also please try it yourself and see the damage different between that and delayed knees.
I've only watched it once, but mango
Thanks Wigginator :)
How do you cancel back 3 ?
Back 3, forward, neutral (nothing for one frame), up. It ends in a side step which you can cancel into anything as soon as it begun
Its the same for every quarter circle forward dash any characte including bryan has as well.
Nothing is ever useless, their use is just niche
-Lukem
:) Happy to know you know that.
I’m a simple woman. I see Leroy aZ dummy, I sub. Also one question: if taunt connects b3 into JU should be done not TJU? That is max damage?
Taunt b+3 into JU is not a thing. Do you mean b+4 into JU? At the wall b+4 into JU is a true combo as long as your timing is on point. MAX Damage at the wall is (b+4 -> JU -> f,F+4 -> b+3~f+3>4)
*b4 b4 typo. XD i thought so thanks :)
So in conclusion best wall ender is a mango? I can dig that.
Best wall ender is always a Mango. Duuuuh! LOL
Is this the one?
What? Is this the one for what?
@@PeterYMao nothing bro i got it! I was keep getting spring kicked slash low kicked during my taunt animation at the wall it helped alot.
Hey....probably u should join tournament....u will do good😘✌️✌️
Haha, I'll need to work on 2P more before doing that, and also learn more match ups. :P
Hand up is you saw JimmyJay do it.... ✋
Hahaha, I think that's most of us. LOL
My mango is to blow up, and then act like I don't know no one
Aight sounds like a plan!
I use df2,1 db1+2 just to break walls
Yes, that's good, but only in the right situations. Sometimes it's not good to use that to break walls because you max out your wall hits and the next wall you lose wall hits. It really depends on the situation. There is no one size fits all :)
Oh boy I sure wish I could B3 cancel better. Guess Ill just sit here and drink my mango smoothie.
Mango smoothies are godlike. And thanks for watching my intros ;)
Mango?
Nice! Thanks for watching the intros Maurice!
PeterYMao Thank you sir! Still practicing my Bryan, your content helps tremendously.
Love to hear people practicing and getting better. Make me happy!!!
Mango or something like that
Lol, thanks for watching the intro ^_^
mango / pog
Thanks for watching my intros man. Thank you thank you.
I need it!😯
Better?😉
Sssssssh. Not so loud, hahahaha
Wtf Peter look at this Bryan
ua-cam.com/video/BzJrcfswPOo/v-deo.html
Not gonna lie, I never knew you could do d/f 2 1 d/f 1+2 in the wall, and I can clearly see why.
Psst, mango 🥭.
Hahaha, now you know. Thanks for watching all the way through Crashing Blow :)
Not gonna lie I kinda skipped the intro but I skipped to the part where u whispered something. Btw mango
It's cool, people skip the intro all the time.
WHAT A MANGO!
What a viewer! Watching my intros thank you man :D
Mango!
I can always count on you to watch the intros Mega Wlad! :D
@@PeterYMao I never skip the intros ))
mango !
Daaamn! So many of you guys watch the intros and it makes me happy :)
I feel attacked lol
LOL. Apparently a lot of people feel that way. I had no intention of that.
i do down right 1,1,1,1,2
Using that option forfeits Oki. So usually it’s a bad option to go for. I mention this in the video.
@@PeterYMao that was before i watched the video lol
Great insight
Mangos are tasty
Very!
Mangoooooo
^_^ thanks for taking timing to watch the intro GameCube756
Great tutorial ! tho it was a little verbose
Sorry, but better to say more and get the point across than so too little and leave out details.
