What was the point of a squash match like this? MJF doesn't really gain anything by beating this guy while this other guy will eventually get buried and released.
Hometown pop, sure MJF wanted this, it’s not that deep. Personally I was happy, got to see MJF wrestle again, not to mention it’s obvious he’s working on new moves. Sure he wanted to work with a solid Mexican wrestler.
You'll never understand AEW and nobody does, everyone has their own theory on these matches but nothing ever makes sense, hence the ratings. They used to have storylines that made sense but rn they're just doing random dream matches with weak storyline, if they think they're doing well then good for them but let me tell you Tony is delusional af.

As far as MJF goes: if he wants to save AEW, he should put the band back together (Wardlow) and push the WWE carpetbagging trash out of the promotion.
