I think you are an awesome gentlemen. And a wonderful bushcrafter I watch your video's all the time. And you sir are just a delight and very talented craftsman. God bless
Thank you so much Cari for your wonderful feedback 😉
Your kind words warms my heart and makes me smile 👍🏻
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Love those things. I have one made in 1968. Still runs like new. I prime mine with alcohol from a flip top bottle. Alcohol burns cleaner and leave no soot.
Always remove the key when the stove is on. It gets very hot and gives you the Optimus Finger.
Ha ha 😁👍🏻 thanks for your great advice and help. Appreciate you joined me and Tristan on this one 🔥🏕🦌
Tom
I have had a svea 123 for over 20yrs and have been fiddling with the key and chain for the same amount of time and you showed me on the first day you got it how to solve this. I laughed at how easy that was......thanks
Ha ha that’s great Basil 😁👍🏻
I’m glad I could help 😇 and very grateful for your feedback
Stay safe my friend and remember to enjoy life 😉🔥🏕
Tom
I saved your vlog all week so I could have quality, Saturday night entertainment, Viking entertainment and education. You did not disappoint. Thank you for putting this up. I don't mean to put pressure on you, but my whole household out in California have grown quite fond of your vlogs, and your artwork and bushcraft instruction. Tell Mr. Tristan he is a great man and we are counting on him.
I’ll certainly do that Patrick 😉 and thanks for your wonderful feedback and support. Give my regards to your family and tell them that I appreciate that they also are following me on my adventures 🔥🏕🦌 Tom
I love the sound of these pressure stoves! Brings back so many memories especially the brew and meal after great days in the hills or in the kayaks at sea
I can easily understand that Gwyn 👍🏻😁. And all though it’s a bit noisy … it sweet sounds of preparing my coffee. Thanks my friend for your feedback and support 🏕
Tom
I have had my Svea 123 for 44 years and still runs like new. Nothing better.
Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻😁 great to know that Robin
Grateful you came along 🏕
Tom
This is such a lovely video & it's a priceless treasure for the young lad Tristan to be able to have these fond memories and lessons you've taught! I came here for the stove vid, I stayed for the incredible! Happily subscribed : )
That’s great 😁👍🏻and I welcome you onboard
Hope you’ll enjoy some of my other videos too and if you get any questions … don’t hesitate to ask 🤗🏕🔥
Tom
The little SVEA 123 was a favorite of mine for many years and still is. Many years ago I was caught in a severe snowstorm while on a solo backpack trip. I struggled across an open face in the mountains and just barely made it to a large rock just entering a forested area. Crouching behind that rock I got my stove out and fired it up. The sound of th at little stove will never be forgotten. I was able to brew a couple of cups of tea and gained enough warmth and strength to make it down the mountain. As far as I’m concerned that is one reason I can tell you that story today! Thanks for you showing this today.
Waw that’s a great story to tell you grandchildren 😁👍🏻 and I appreciate that your sharing it with me to. I’m glad you came down safely and that you have joined me on my channel. Keep safe my friend 🔥🏕🦌
Tom
Cimbrer Bushcraft - Thanks Tom, glad to have found your channel. And yes I’ve related that story many times through the years! It was great to see you out there with your son, I started taking my kids out camping from the beginning and those memories are cherished. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Al 👍🏻😁 your a good friend and I appreciate your support very much 🔥🏕🦌
Tom
I really like your Primus stove. I may get one also. It is very good to see you sharing your skills and camp with the young lad.
Thanks a lot Larry 👍🏻😁 I’m glad you like my new video and that I have Tristan with me again. The stove is great and I can only recommend it
Atb to you and your family 🏕
Tom
Hi Tom, good to see Tristan out with you. I think you will get a lot of enjoyment from your svea stove. I had one many years ago and am looking for another. I did find a Optimus 99 that I love. You can find a silencer for them in some stores. Cool stove. Take care my friend.
Thanks Allan for your positive and kind feedback 😁👍🏻. I’m glad you like my video and grateful you dropped by 🏕🦌
Tom
I love my Svea, despite its expensive, I found a silencer a few years back.
Now you bearly hear it.
Fast and clean..
Really Nice to Come along with you both
ATB
Yes the silencer is a good thing.
Put the hotdog roasting sticks thru the griddle handles for a more secure holder.
Im def gonna look into getting myself one in the future, really like the brass cook stoves.
Thanks Börje 👍🏻😁 Didn’t know that I could get such a silencer 🤔 have to find one of those … appreciate your tip and feedback my friend 🏕🔥
Tom
Great idea Dave 👍🏻😁 thanks
Appreciate your feedback very much my friend 🏕🦌🔥 Tom
Received a 123 yesterday,am anxious to try.Grew up in military around the world, and am always amazed the effort people make to speak English. We are trying to grow up here ,as fast as we can. Thank you!
That’s great Robert 😁👍🏻 and I know your going to love that little stove 🔥 it is so great. Thanks for your feedback and for watching some of my old videos 🏕🔥
Tom
I am so glad you found the SEVA stove - I bought mine in the 70's and it has never failed me - It is easy to maintain as it only has one moving part - The flame adjustment needle which can be repacked if necessary - It is a powerhouse of a stove - I use white gas ( Coleman Fuel ) - Glad you like it. I love brass also - Take Care
Thanks a lot Tom for your positive feedback 👍🏻😁 It’s really a great stove 🔥 … just what I’ve been looking for 😇
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Solid video. Great content for the community. Thank you for bringing us along
Thanks for joining us Matthew
See you soon my friend 😉🏕
Tom
Thanks Tom for having us along. Looks like it was a nice day to be out. I'm sure you won't be abandoning your wood stoves, we know you have always liked them.
Thanks for joining us on this video and for your feedback 😁👍🏻 I’ll always prefer my wood stoves … but nice to have some alternative ways for cooking my coffee 🏕🦌
Tom
Very good to see Tristan out with you again. I'm sure he will remember these times with fondness. I have a very old Optimus stove, but I like the one you have, much smaller and compact. The one I have makes noise too, but its worth it for the reliability, speed of cooking and old school look! Thanks again for another great video. ATB to you and your family.
I agree 100 % Chuck 👍🏻😁
Old school is often heavy, noisy and wonderful 😆👌🏻
Thanks for your kindness and always supporting feedback 🏕🔥🦌🇩🇰🌲 Atb 2U. Tom
What a special trip for that young man! I love the Optimus stove and the fire stand. I have an old Optimus 8R which I love very much. They are similar but I like the brass and the way the Svea stands up. Very cool Tom! 🏕🦝🌭
Thanks Jack for your positive feedback and support 😁👍🏻
It’s great to hear from you my friend and I hope to see you again on my next one 🏕🦌
Tom
After watching this video I ordered one of these stoves! Thanks, Tom. ATB from the U.S. Sam Adler
That’s great Sam 😁👍🏻 Hope you’ll be glad for it … it’s really a great little stove. Congrats
Let me know how what you think when you get it 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Hey Bubba, good to see you guys out enjoying nature and a good meal. Tom got to hand it to you for teaching the boy bushcraft skills. You guys take care and God bless y’all. (Old guy from Arkansas)🇺🇸
Thanks a lot Steven for your kind words 😁👍🏻. And I’m glad you like that Tristan is joining me on some of my adventures. Hope your doing well my old friend and to see you again soon 🔥🏕🦌 Tom
Its great to see you teaching the young man about Bushcraft . Thanks for the video
Your welcome Joe 😁👍🏻 and thanks for joining us in my Cimbrer Camp 🔥🏕🦌 Tom
I bought my Svea back in 1970. It is still going strong. I replaced the filler cap that came with a small pump. So that I can pump up the pressure and light the stove. It works quite well and I can start cooking right away. I also have a small nipple pick to keep the burner from building up carbon.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🤗 Sorry but I’ve got pneumonia and haven’t been able to make a new video or answer all the nice comments I’ve got
So it’ll be a standard reply but I read all the feedback and appreciate those very much. Thanks for all the kindness and support your giving me … and see you soon my friends 🏕🔥🌲🇩🇰
Tom
Hello Tom it's good to see your doing well and living a happy life as always I was just thinking that soon I won't be able to have little conversations with you anymore 😔 because your channel is growing so fast and so well it's a happy feeling and a sad 💔 😢 feeling at the same time but I would always wish you all the happiness in life ATB MY FRIEND 👍🏾 as always Tom your the MAN👏🏾💪🏾🙌🏾
Well Brian … I hope I’ll always have time to answer your wonderful feedback 👍🏻😁 our friendship means a lot to me.
It’s always great to hear from you brother and grateful your following me on my adventures. Stay safe my friend and see you soon 🏕🔥
Tom
Please don’t use my comment section for that 😊 … Tom
Not interested in that kind of comment buddy 😊… please stop doing that 🙏🏻😆 Tom
Last time I saw one of those was about 35 years ago. I know they made it as far back as about 40 years. A great blast from the past. Thank you
Your welcome Mitch 👍🏻😁 and thanks for coming along
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Thank you for the tutorial on making tea.i will try that.nice that you had some company this time, enjoyed your video as always.
Thank you so much Connie for the kind and positive feedback
Always great to hear from you my friend and grateful you came along 🔥🏕🦌🌲 Tom
I have a SVEA123R and love it. Like you I moved the key to the windscreen and prefer it there. They are great little stoves.
Absolutely 😁👍🏻🔥 I love it and especially the old school style appeals to me 🏕🌲🐕
Tom
you do a great job with your videos for what you are doing. I always look forward to seeing them. Thank you!
Thanks for supporting me Allen 👍🏻😁 and for your positive feedback. Hope you’ll join me again soon 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
I have a standard Svea 123 which I purchased in 1972. It still works well and is a super cooker. I have the original folding pin that is used to clean the fire hole. Just a comment: The three legs that hold at the cook pot can also be turned to the outside to hold larger pots and pans. If you time it just right, you can light the stove with the dying primer flame by quickly opening the gas jet. Thanks for the review.
Your welcome Bob 👍🏻😁and thanks for your info and advice. Appreciate your feedback very much 🏕🔥🦌
Tom
I thought about getting one of these, I think they are very cool. I also like the other Optimus 8R classic that’s flatter, and goes inside of a small metal case like a little suitcase. Once again, making excellent memories for the young boy.👍👏👏👏👏👏
Yeah it’s so cool and old school 👍🏻😁 I just love my little new playtoy 😆😇🔥
Tom
Way to go Tom, great video again, thanks for making them, much respect from the US! 🤟😉👍
Thanks for watching them my dear friend 👍🏻😁 I’m grateful you came along and enjoyed it with us. See you soon 🏕🦌
Tom
Hi Tom ,always good to see another with some cool stuff see your sidekick is back good to see he is still with ya,take care Tom and company hope for many more
Thanks Bob 👍🏻😁 I’m happy you came along and hope to see you again soon 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Hi Tom. Those stoves are great. A friend of mine has had one for over twenty years and it is still going strong. Although they are expensive to buy, they are much cheaper to run than a stove that uses gas canisters and they work in any weather. Cheers from Down Under! 👍🍻
That’s right Marshall 😁👍🏻 and I’m happy that I’ve finally got one … it’s so old school
Hope your having a great autumn down under and that I’ll see you again soon 🏕🦌
Tom
Greetings from California, it's been a while since I've been able to take time and watch some you tube but when I turn in your videos it's like seeing an old friend, thank you for all you do, FYI, I just discovered that Orlick makes a dark fired Kentucky tobacco and it is really good, if you haven't tried it yet I would deffinetly recommend it, all the best to you Tom
Thanks my friend for the tip 😁👍🏻 I’ll definitely check that tobacco out. I’m glad you like my videos and that you feel a connection to me … that’s wonderful to hear. Grateful to have you onboard my friend 🏕🦌🔥🌲🌤🇩🇰 Tom
Will def be keeping up with the blackberry tea. I have plenty of blackberries growing around me and never knew about making tea from the root. We have Sassafras trees which weve used to make tea before, its almost like a Root Beer taste.
Thanks Larry for your positive feedback 😁👍🏻. I’m glad you like my little project and looking forward to seeing you again my friend. Stay safe 🏕
Tom
Great video. I have three of the Svea stoves. I’ve been using one of them for around forty years.
Waw that’s a long time Ronald 👍🏻😁 great to hear that my friend. Appreciate your feedback very much 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
I understand that you know this, but let me remind you that you need to cook in the heat of the coals. You should try to expose the product as little as possible to direct fire and especially smoke. I wish you good luck and good health ✌️
Thanks Alex for your advice 👍🏻😁 appreciate that my friend. Atb to you 🔥🏕🦌
Tom
Very good stove, I have one too , from the 70`s. As mentioned below there is a silencer available from independant suppliers, no noise at all.
You will find it best to leave the regulator key off while running as it can get very hot.
As far as your kettle not pouring well, sometimes it pours cleaner with the cover off , maybe that will help..
Also, with that new tarp set up, you may very well have a supershelter now. Be well
Thank you so much for your feedback and great advice 😁
I’ll see if I can find that silencer som place here in Europe 🤔. See you soon 🏕
Tom
Over here in the USA , specially in Oklahoma, Texas, we call it cowboy coffee. You boil the coffee grinds to a boil, its takes the acid out. Pour a little cold water in,the grounds settle to the bottom of the coffee pot. Don't forget about a little NIP in your coffee. 😁
Ha ha ..no I wouldn't forget that Brian. Thanks for your feedback and great advice.. See you on the next one my friend. Tom
Hi Tom nice video with your buddy and a sweet little stove too. I had a vintage Svea stove about 20 yrs ago. I should have never sold it lol.🔥☕👍🌲
Yeah that’s sad Wade 😏 maybe you’ll get a new one sometime in the future 😉
Thanks my friend for your feedback and support 🏕🦌
Tom
Tom
Hi, nice to see the very young "bushcrafter" on your side .I hope he likes the nature as much as you do .
It is good that young people learn something about the forest and the wild life beyond computer
laptop or handy. I also like your new Optimus burner it seems to be made of good quality what is not easy to find on every corner. Some years ago I have restored an old optimus burner in brass too but it was too big
for a backpack to carry so it is now nothing more than a decoration standing on the table in the kitchen.
Wish you the best and see you in next video
Thank you so much Tomasz for your kind and positive feedback 👍🏻😁. I’m glad you like my new video and that Tristan is joining me. Great to have you onboard 🔥🏕🦌🌲
Tom
I like your new stove and I enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a great week!
Thanks for dropping by my friend and for enjoying my video. 😁👍🏻 Hope you’ll have a great day 🌤🏕🦌🔥🌲🇩🇰
Tom
A cracking wee stove. I think I might get one for day trips.
Great vid, Tom. Now you have me shopping for another stove. Told my son today that we would never have to worry about not being able to cook our meals. Tornados came through our area around 2 am this morning and knocked out power for about 24 hours. Total devastation next county over, where I work and we shop. TC and ATB, Cris.
That’s great Cris 👍🏻😁 I can easily understand why you want to buy such a stove 🔥 When you live in such a place with tornadoes 🌪 and other natural disasters. Keep safe brother and hope you’ll have a quiet weekend 🏕🔥🦌🌲🌤
Tom
My brother and I BOTH enjoy your womderful videos!
That’s great to hear 👍🏻😁 Thanks for the feedback my friend and give my regards to your brother from me 🏕🦌
Tom
Welcoming a young man, but I'm not surprised that it's Him
No off course he’s an old friend I bring along 👍🏻😁
Thanks for joining us 🏕
Tom
Spending time with the Grandson is the best memories I can make. I hope it will be the best for him as well.
Thanks David 👍🏻😁 I hope he’ll remember our trips for the rest of his life. Thanks for joining us in my camp 🏕🦌
Tom
Another lovely video. Might I suggest, for the front of your shelter, using two clear shower curtain liners. They have grommets installed and you can easily enter or leave your shelter thru the overlap.
Great idea Douglas 👍🏻😁 My only concern is when it’s blowing a strong wind 💨 🤔
The solution I’ve got now can withstand that 😇🏕🔥🦌🌤
Tom
I see you are in good company, Tom. Here in Asturias we call than little alcohol with coffe "pingarates" so if you visit Asturias and ask for a coffee with "pingarates" your coffee will come with some alcohol, mainly "orujo" (a high alcoholic drink made from grapes).
Thanks Miguel for your kind feedback 👍🏻😁. And great info about the zip 😉 in your country ha ha. Stay safe 🏕
Tom
I like the stove Tom, a work of art just to look at and of course it's real purpose, cooking. I have one of those Stanley pots you heated water in, I love mine. Thanks and hello to your young friend. :)
Thanks Greg 😁👍🏻 I’ll remember to tell Tristan you said hello. I’m glad you came along and enjoyed it with us
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Things are coming along at Camp Cimbrer nicely, Tom. Good to see you young men out enjoying time in the woods.
Yeah great to have Tristan with me again and I know he loves it to 😁👍🏻 Appreciate your positive feedback my friend and hope to see you again on my next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Tom I did find this stove on Amazon and looks good. The young man is very lucky to have you as his mentor . As usual love the video and products intros ! !
Thank you so much Elwyn 👍🏻😁 Appreciate your kind and positive feedback very much
Hope you and your family are having a great week 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Hi Tom, a great stove, but a bit noisy 👍🏻😁.
The fire bowl also looks very good.
You spent a nice day with your young companion. Take care, my friend
Petra
Thanks a lot Petra 😁👍🏻 and the same to you my dear friend. See you soon 🤗🏕🔥
Tom
Hes a lovely lad, l really appreciate all the gear you show you have some very beautiful and finely crafted gear. Thank you for the video.
Your welcome my friend 👍🏻😉 and I appreciate that you joined me in my Cimbrer Camp 🏕🔥
Tom
Great video Tom, thank you as always. Awesome little stove that. I'm curious to see how the blackberry root tea turns out. Take care and atb my friend. Stay strong.
Thanks Tom 👍🏻😁 I hope it’ll taste great … and I know it’s healthy … so can’t be all bad
Thanks for joining me and Tristan on this one 🏕🔥🦌
Tom
I picked this stove up used for 30 dollars in Canada , thanks for the video
That was a great price 😁👍🏻 congrats to you my friend 🇩🇰
Thanks for your feedback 🏕
Tom
Tom I think it would be fun for you if you purchase a early season blueberry plant, and maybe a red raspberry plant, to plant close to your fun bushcraft shed to use in your cooking. There might be some other little plants you could plant near there also to use these products in your fun outdoor cooking. Something that's everbearing to use each year. Thanks for your great sense of humor and interesting videos you make. They have climbing everbearing strawberries and a fun dwarf plum tree would be great to spice up your treats and meals.
Thanks Paul for your good suggestion ...maybe I'll plant some plants in my camp...in my next video I show how the blackberry roots turned out and how I use them in my tes. Video coming out later today...hope you'll enjoy. Atb to you brother. Tom
best sound in the world when your cold and in the snow. you can pre heat using you fire to, just put it on hot coals.
Didn’t know that Robin 👍🏻😁 Thanks for your info 🔥🏕🦌
Tom
Tom, Tristan is a very lucky young man to have you for a friend. I'm sure he appreciates it when you take him along. He will remember these trips throughout his life and someday and perhaps take his son out to experience nature. The stove is a very nice old school design. The company has made them since the 1950's and that says a lot about the quality and reliability. Have a nice week and I'm looking forward to the blackberry update. I didn't know you could make a tea from the root.
Thank you so much my dear friend for your always kind and positive feedback 👍🏻😁
I’m sure Tristan is enjoying our trips and so do I 👌🏻🤗. Thanks for joining us on our adventures Atb to you 🔥🏕
Tom
Hello Tom, you need to let it prime a lot longer than what you gave it, that is why it flared up, the fuel had NOT had time to vaporize, i work and repair these all the time and have 4 of these little stoves, 2 123s and 2 123Rs, people send them to me for repair and clean, the best fuel to use is Coleman's stove fuel, it is clean and a lot of the by-products have been removed. I do like the set-up that you have, enjoy ATB Ray
Thanks Ray for your feedback and for your great advice 😁👍🏻
Maybe you can tell me if it safe to use a silencer on the stove? And if you know where I can get one? If you can answer me on email … it would be great 👍🏻 😉
cimbrerbushcraft@gmail.com
Appreciate your help and hope you’ll join me again soon 🏕🔥
Tom
Tom, you picked a great camp-mate. Tristan(?) has a terrific sense of humor, in Engelsk too! As a dad of three sons I know how vital what you and Tristan do in camp is. He is a good kid, who needs all the dads he can get right now. Boy Scouts in the US used to provide that. No more, the adults ruined it. It is now just a small, tiny image of its former self. The previous thirty years have been tough on our kids. I’m all for encouraging this kind of thing. Congrats, meine freund.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 👍🏻😁
It’s sadly that the scout movement is going in the wrong direction … it’s the same here in Denmark 🇩🇰 😔
So I’m grateful that Tristan shows interest and wants to join me on my adventures 🏕
See you on the next one 🔥🌲
Tom
Very cool new stove 👍. Looks like you guys had a great time cooking sausages. Nothing better than cooking outdoors. Have a great week.
Thanks Shane 👍🏻😁 appreciate that my friend 😉
I’m glad you came along 🏕
Tom
I just recently found a cookset with aluminium cook pans and the SVEA stove with the wind screens for 5 dollars at a secondhand store. Im cleaning it up and cant wait to try it out.
Wow that was a great find 😉👍🏻 congratulations John and I hope you’ll enjoy using it 🏕🔥🌲🐕🥘
Tom
Hello Tom & Tristen, I hope I spent his name right. Great Svea there. Also even ended up with a nice pouch for it ! Thanks for letting me sit @ your camp for Food Drink & Dessert ! Be Well, Friend ! ATB T God Bless
Thanks for joining us Terry 😁
It’s great you dropped by and you almost spelled it right 😇
Tristan is a very good friend to have as companion and love spending time out in my camp with him. Atb to you 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
You can warm the tank in your hands then crack the valve and some gas will flow out and fill the bowel. You can also use alcohol which will not soot up your stove.
Try a clear vinyl shower curtain to I close your shelter.
Thank you so much my friend for your positive feedback and great advices 👍🏻😁. It’s new to me and I can use all the great tips I can get 🤗🏕🦌
Tom
Bardzo pomysłowe Optimus ma rozwiązania. Pozdrowienia dla gościa twojego z Polski, 👌
Muszę to zrobić Mati i dziękuję za komentarz, przyjacielu. Pozdrowienia od Tristana i I Tom
Nice svea stove n Some goodies to eat. I love the stanley cookset such a good piece of gear. Cake looked really good for desert. Hope you both are well my friends.
Thank you so much for your kind and positive feedback 😉
Great you came along and enjoyed it with us 🔥🏕🦌🌲
Tom
I like that little stove. The blackberry root tea sounds delicious.
Yeah I’m looking forward to making that tea 😁👍🏻 and to tell you how it tastes 🤗😋
Thanks Marjie for dropping by
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
hello,,Tom it is good to see you and the young man enjoying your self`s,,love the little Optimus stove,,T,,F,,sharing,,
Appreciate that my friend 😉 and thanks for coming along
See you on the next one 🏕🦌
Tom
Hi, great video! Would you happen to know the height from base of the windscreen to the first ring where the bottom of the burner reaches?
Sorry Rick 🤔 I’m not quite sure what you mean … if you can send me an email with a drawing of what you mean I’ll give you an answer there 🏕🔥
cimbrerbushcraft@gmail.com
Atb to you and your family 🤗
Tom
Great video Tom. Cool new stove. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the blackberry root. See you on the next one my friend. Take care and have a great day. Tennessee
Thanks Jeff 👍🏻😁 I’m glad you like it my friend. I’m excited to about the Blackberry roots and how it’ll taste when it’s done 🏕🔥🦌
Tom
Tom👍👍 Great video again in Cimbrer Camp. I have two Optimus Svea 123 stoves, one from back in the 60's or early 70's(Swedish) and a newer one(Asian made🤔). Both work perfectly in any condition and yes they are known to be noisy and pricey but well worth the expense👌 You can get a burner dampener that cuts the noise in half or better😁 Yeah, very cool indeed. Good meal and companionship with the signature wink 😉 included. Blackberry root tea sounds interesting, awaiting your comments. Thanks for bringing us along. Enjoy!
Thanks Terry for your wonderful feedback 👍🏻😁 I’ve heard about that silencer … and trying to find one here in Europe … appreciate your information about the stove
Atb to you my friend 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Hi hi enjoyed your video and it was nice to see Tristan and you together thank you very much
Your welcome Jack 😁👍🏻 and nice of you to visit us in CimbrerCamp 🏕🔥🌲Tom
Great stove Tom looks like very high quality.& great to see Tristrin with you,he will much from you ,well done mate
Thanks a lot Kerry 👍🏻😁 appreciate that my friend 🏕
Tom
😃😃right after the “a few days before.....” of your video you are sitting with your head right in front of the vikingship, it looks like you have horns.
Thats a really neat cooking set. The little spout to draw some fuel, is called a syringe in english.
Ha ha … yeah many viewers have noticed that 😈 lol 😂
Thanks for your feedback and kindness my friend 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Those stoves are very gut, I still have my parents big kitchen stove that run on Kerosine, it has a pilot light that turns the Kerosine into a gas.
That’s great Hans 👍🏻😉 didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing this with us. Atb to you 🏕🦌
Tom
flame regulation in these stoves is poor, they are noisy, the fuel is expensive, they are heavy, the stove is also expensive, and no longer made in Sweden... BUT they are so extremely nice looking! A true classic which brings me memories from my childhood fishing and trekking in Patagonia. I still have one from the fifties in perfect condition and I still love it, although nowadays my main cooking equipment is the no less classic Trangia alcohol stove and two Firebox twig stoves as backup
Yeah I agree with you my friend 😉👍🏻 it’s noisy … but cool looking AND very efficient 👌🏻
And I just LOVE brass … so for a stove … this is my favourite 🔥
Tom
I can’t get white gas where I live, but a 50/50 mix of kerosine and 90% alcohol works perfect. I use my svea123 very often to fry up fish on the beach.
Yeah it’s a great little stove 😁👍🏻🔥and glad you found some fuel you can use 🏕🌲🐕
Tom
Tom please look at this video FIRST as this is the same as the 123 and 123R which works exactly the same, as the Svea's, it is the information you need to to strip down the burner from the tank and then stripping down the throttle and jet needle etc. hope this helps you.
Thanks Charlie 😉👍🏻 appreciate your help my friend
Tom
Hey Tom: nice new alcohol stove. Excellent to see you have company at camp with you. Thanks for posting, I always enjoy watch it is almost like being there with you.
It’s not a alcohol stove it’s a white gas stove
@@RViscara at some point in the video I though I heard Tom say alcohol but Naptha is a great stove fuel especially in the extreme cold. I wonder if the element could be converted to run diesel which has even more energy density and is easier to find? Thanks for the correction.
Your welcome Moray 👍🏻😁 and thanks for coming along
Hope you’ll have a great week
See you soon again 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Yeah I think I said that 🤔😉
Sorry my mistake 😇. Tom
It's very pleasant when you have compagnie Tom, specialy a teen, I Tristan, it's good for Tristan to value the nature. Some day he will have is own youtube channel. Thank for sharing with us you're new stove Tom, it's pretty neat and practical.
Thanks Claude for your kind feedback 👍🏻😁 Tristan is already talking about starting his UA-cam channel 😉. So I think he’s a good horse to bet on. Thanks for joining us 🏕
Tom
Hello Tom and Tristan. Fantastic video I must say. Also, am interested in the stove too 👍🏼
That’s great Yakoob 👍🏻😁 maybe that is your next investment in new gear 😇
Glad you dropped by 🏕🔥🦌
Tom
Fire under the hot plate gives a better heat. Also a nice atmosphere the television without electricity Cheers Adam
The plate is actually made for both purposes 👍🏻😁 and I think it’s great to have that choice. Appreciate your feedback very much 🏕🔥🦌
Tom
Great video Tom, the Svea also fits nicely into a Toaks 750mml pot!
Yeah it has a good size that fits in many pots 👍🏻😁 and therefore compact for travel
See you on the next one 🦌🏕
Tom
Congratulations! I love this Stove.
Thanks Herman 👍🏻😁 Appreciate that my friend 🏕
Tom
Tom and Tristan, thanks for sharing and bringing us along. The stove looks like a good option , I like the brass as well. The sausages looked good , I hope this finds you well my friend, God bless !
Thanks Michael 👍🏻😁 appreciate that my friend 🏕
Tom
I just warm mine with my hands to prime it. You have to learn how much to fill it for that to work. Also if it’s extremely cold you can hold the match or lighter under the bottom of the fuel tank to warm it.
Thanks for sharing your experience and great advice with me 😁👍🏻🔥🏕🌲 Tom
👍👍Cheers Tom great to see you and Master T again , cool , Tarp has to be canvas , great skills you passing on , skal Wayne👍👍😉💕👌
Thank you so much Wayne for your positive feedback 👍🏻😁
I agree ☝🏻 that a canvas tarp would be great … but the one I’ve got is much cheaper 😇 so it has to do for now 🏕🔥
Tom
Tom i also have a tarp on my hut and ran a cable across and through the grommets on the tarp with a couple hooks on the ceiling to keep it from saging then when i open just slide it across works old skool real well just a thought for ya still need to put my totem pole up as you did once and hope soon I get better
Hmmm yeah that’s a great idea 👍🏻😁 My only concern is the strong winds we often have here in Denmark 🤔💨
But great suggestion … that I’ll consider … thanks 🙏🏻 🏕🦌
Tom
@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag Hi Tom I use a 4x4 wolminized to hold bottom tight maybe as you already have a board maybe a cable at bottom to if you have grommets low enough as not a trip hazard just couple ideas hut looks cool though, take my old skool far away friend
Skål Bob 🍻👍🏻😁 and thanks
Tom
Tristan seems very comfortable with English. Interesting the way you guys switch back and forth between English and Danish
Ha ha yeah that’s right 🤗
Children here in Denmark 🇩🇰 is learning English when they start in school … and therefore is good at it very fast 🤗🏕
Tom
That small stove might be nice for heating up water for coffee, but I have a skillet which I carry for camping and it is not designed for use on a stove that small. A wood fire would be best for that use here in the U.S. That young man must be so hungry and ready to eat some food and will be glad when your meat is cooked.
Yeah he was hungry :0) ...Thanks Sidney for your feedback and support. See you soon again my friend. Tom
Young man, Slab the sides off the sprucer log with an hand axe and then slab the corners off the remaining square. Thats how you do it without a fancy wedge! Ciao!
Thanks Bud for your advice 😁👍🏻 appreciate that my friend.
Appreciate that you came along again in Cimbrer camp 🏕🔥
Tom
Viking...... great to see you getting the youngster out and involving him in in simple bushcraft.....(better than playstation), bushcraft clothes for him next time. Brilliant video. 🥃😉🏴🏴🏴
Thanks John 👍🏻😁 appreciate your feedback and glad you came along 🏕🦌🔥
Tom
Pretty expensive, lower output than other newer designs. But the feeling of the brass and a design around 100yrs old beats everything. Have had one for many yrs now. Did you know you can get a pump for it. It will increase the effect with around 50% (or so).
Mange hilsener fra Djævleøen
No didn’t know that Ulf 🤔😉
Thanks for the tip 👍🏻😁🔥
Maybe I’ll try if I can find one of those. Greetings to you on our “djævle ø” ha ha 😆🏕🦌
Tom
Hi Tom, Another Great Video! Thanks for the review on that stove I was thinking of getting one. :) Um, Is Tristan your son or Grandson ? Bet he loves spending time with you. Once you have you have dried out that root would you be able to carve it into a bowl for a pipe?. Cheers.
Tristan is a student from the school I work on … and I’m not related to him. Haven’t thought of using it for a pipe 🤔 hmmm maybe that could work 😁👍🏻. Thanks for your feedback and question 🏕🦌
Tom
Nice stove Tom glad to see Chris with you. Hope your tarp door is working out. Missed the ;) wink on the shot of the flask. Thanks for sharing Tom Chris. ... Arkansas Clyde 🇺🇸

Tom

Thanks Steve..appreciate that my friend. See you on my next one...stay safe brother. Tom
Strange you are having trouble with your kettle. I used mine today twice and it poured with no issues.
I think it’s because I’ve put to much water in 🤔 because after the first cup I don’t have trouble with it. Thanks for your feedback Tyler 😉🏕🦌🔥🇩🇰
Tom
Great video Tom Thx for sharing
Your welcome my friend 👍🏻😁 and thanks for coming along. See you soon bro 🏕
Tom
Very much interested in the blackberry root tea project. I've also heard that the new leaves in the spring time make good tea. Have you tried that? It is on my to-do list; but I haven't tried it yet.
No haven’t tried that yet 😉 but when the new leaves arrive I’ll definitely do that
Thanks for joining us in this video 🦌🏕🔥🌲🌤 Tom
