    As a dealer, I don't think splitting tens matters at all. Varying bet size and actually playing perfect strategy is the biggest red flag, especially with purple or black chips. The _VAST_ majority of players don't know perfect strategy and they bet under $100 a hand. So, if you're playing well and go from betting a green chip to blacks or purples then they already know.

      Do you think splitting 10s when you're already doing mostly perfect basic strategy and varying bet size would make the casino more or less sure that you're a card counter?

    • @ClimbingADK
      @ClimbingADK Місяць тому +3

      @@Andrew_Young if you value your longevity at that casino, use a smaller bet spread and don’t split 10s or at least don’t resplit 10s. If you want to generate maximum EV, split tens every time you have the count for it. There will always be another casino.

      Besides that, the main play they look for is 16vs10. If you hit with a small bet out and stand with a big bet out, that’s a common tell.

    • @Andrew_Young
      @Andrew_Young Місяць тому

      @@kfullmer89 Thanks man! The problem is I hear that's one of the most valuable deviations, so I don't know if longevity is worth it. It's literally the second most valuable deviation. Fortunately, my local casinos have surrender, so I'd just surrender a 16 against a dealer 10 anyways. The deviation only applies if they don't allow you to surrender.

    Another thing about TC +13 is that against a dealer 7 you should double a soft 18 and 19 as well!
    Here is the huge reason for that: For a soft 18 in particular the correct decision using Basic Strategy is STAND but at a true 13 its a double because you are most likely going to get hard 18, and when the dealer will most likely reveal almost 75 percent of the time a ten or 25 percent of the time an Ace, you are most likely to win or push the hand. At a soft 19 its the same thing except you beat the dealer's backdoor soft 18!
    In other words putting more money on the table with these soft hands of 18 or higher is basically taking the advantage that although the dealer does NOT have a bust card, the dealer will most likely make ONLY 17 or a few percentage of the time a soft 18! So you as the player want to capitalize that since there are so many tens in the deck with that true 13, if you get a ten on the double you instantly win!

    • @mdslush23
      @mdslush23 Місяць тому +6

      A true 13 is so rare to ever see as a counter that memorizing deviations for that count is more of a party trick than an EV increaser

    • @RhinobotBrunte
      @RhinobotBrunte Місяць тому +1

      @@mdslush23 I KNOW but that is super funny that sometimes it could happen!!!
      That is why some counters who does have a super good memory memorized these extreme cases they will apply.
      And PS: There were very, very few times where the count can reach a TC of 20 or higher. TC of 20 or higher splits tens now vs a dealer's 8 or lower. And the soft 19 and 20 doubles against the dealer's 8 at that same count!
      And according to reddit, ONLY one or two cases, that situation where the TC was at a 21 or 22 (the highest peak ever for those counter was a 23-24) and they gotten that pair of tens vs a dealer 8! And it was quite the rarity almost like a royal flush when they decided to split ten vs the dealer 8!
      In one of the two cases the count was there for a resplit of the tens but not for a second resplit! In both cases, the reason why the player stopped splitting those tens is because the TC dropped to a 19 which is 1 short of the required count to split which is 20!
      The result was a win on both of the two card counters! As expected every single hand of the splits was a 20 and the dealer showed his ten and the players won!

  • @RhinobotBrunte
    @RhinobotBrunte Місяць тому +3

    Some card counters got lucky because they got a super high count like a true 17 the highest ever count for them!
    But almost never in their blackjack hand they get to split tens! They did previously doubled soft 19 and 20 against bust card! But the last hand definitely caused the backoff almost instantly.
    It was one of the last hands of the shoe and they got dealt a soft 20 and a hard 20 vs a dealer's 7! It was a 4 deck shoe, with stand 17 rules.
    There was about almost half a deck remaining in the deck.
    At a count of true 13 super rare, it is mathematically beneficial to split tens vs dealer's 7. Person splitted tens and gotten an Ace for a soft 21 and another ten which promptly gotten resplitted. Count now dropped to +13 since once again every ten that comes out drops the TC by 2 since there is half a deck remaining. Then since the player didn't wanted the hand to be killed by the pit boss since they know they are going to get the backoff, they pretended this is my donkey bet meaning a dumb bet! And then promptly gotten a 19 and yet ANOTHER soft 21!!!
    Now the TC fell with that ace to TC 11 and told the dealer, that was enough of a dumb bet of the week, and stood on the soft 20. Dealer flips open the ten for a 17 and EVERY HAND WON!!!
    And WHY PEOPLE SHOULD NEVER GET GREEDY WHEN THE COUNT DROPS BELOW THAT EXTREME LEVEL IS IRONICALLY final hand was the first card coming out of the deck was a 6 meaning he would've lost that double down on that soft 20!!! And with still a very high TC, he gotten a 16 vs a 10 on the final hand and was promptly surrender before he got backed off!!!

    At 5:53 it seems your friend missed out a little EV by not doubling 8 vs 5. Yes, the count deteriorated after all those pictures appeared when she split the 10s, but the TC had to be at least +5 before she made those splits, so the count must have been high enough to ensure that optimal play would be to double that 8 vs 5.

      KO is similiar to Hi Lo and you can split 10s using KO. I start my count at 0, and I consider every 8 counts as approx 1 true count in Hi Lo (I typically play 8 deck shoes, sucks but it is what it is). Example: using KO the RC is +16. That's approximately equivalent to +2 TC in Hi Lo in an 8 deck shoe.

      @ I done the ko count. But to balance the count instead of starting with a neg 20 like they recommend. I count my A’s as a negative-2. Then 2-7 is +1 and 10-king -1 A’s are a -2 so it’s balanced. When I hit a true +3 you’ll see aces come out more. Through points on the aces and 10’s. 2/3 are 10’s and 1/3 are aces. Cause of the unbalanced on original ko. Due to the 7’s . The count climbs when run it out balance. So a true 3 does come pretty good. But you see 2 aces in one round. It drops 4 points fast. But with other than high low. Deviations aren’t always standard to all counts. Great though with hi-low. Since it’s card for card. “Hi cards vs low cards”
      So not sure about deviations on hi opt 1
      Or hi-opt 2 . Or zen count ect. I play around with different counting systems. Even my own . Like the example I explained with the ko count.

    I'm still here trying to figure why one would actually play a forced only 1-3 spread? Table Goodyear was on shows a min $100 bet but max $300?? That's mind boggling. I don't even see how it's profitable, her results aside. Happy for her that she was able to get it though.

    So playing perfectly and being at an advantage doesnt concern the casino until you start betting over 100+ the objective of the game is to make money and beat the casino but you could have the same results over a longer period of time without being backed off or getting kicked out if you kept your bets lower ?. Sure youd have to work longer but atleast you could still play at the casinos the next day lmao. They lose money in the long run anyways. And you get to keep your money flow (casino) jnstead of risking not being allowed into the casino. Being banned is worst then making a few hundred over a long period if your banned you make 0 money lmfao and have to travel which costs money so you end up breaking even or losing money over a period of time

    Card counting is a myth. The dealer has the exact same chance of a 20 as you do. Sorry bud 😊

    • @blackjackadvisors
      @blackjackadvisors  Місяць тому +1

      @@shooter.mcgavin I have an Instagram video explaining how it becomes advantage blackjack for the player. So you’re right in a high count dealer is more likely to make a good hand also. However, there are multiple ways that we achieve a mathematical advantage. For instance the 3:2 blackjack payout, if dealer get blackjack they only take our bet but when we get it, we are paid 3:2. Also, we have the opportunity to split and double, putting more money on the table when we have advantage hands.
