Still rocking the v30. And I actually prefer it over my OnePlus 6 and mi9. Haptic feedback and the quality of the headphone jack and screen makes up for what it lacks. 🔥🔥
The stabilization on v40 is much, much greater.
V30 Android 8.0, V40 Android 8.1 in this video, this makes V40 faster and better in mem management. I prefer v30 for size and no notch, recently officially upgraded to Android 9 BTW!

@@davidnguyenchanlee6088 Yeah, most phones seem to have a pretty low battery capacity. I miss when we phones had removable backs. Oh well, but thanks man! Ive been using Samsung for the past few years and they all have seemed to slow down after a few months of use. I debated on the note 8, but i heard it had lag issues and im not one to tolerate that. You may have made my choice!
And me too i have a v30 and i love my phone exept the screen i think the colors are not really natural and i hate this but sound is very nice with my bang and olufsen eadphones i compare sound vs an iphone xs and sound of lg with quad dac is better really and better than my s8+.

Im watching from my v30 .I also have s9 and s8 and this is much better for me because : 1. Bigger display 2.battery life is crazy at least 2 days ( with s9 1 day max) . 3.After 2 3 hours of video calling on S9 the phone is really really hot and now V30 is normal all the time. 4.S9 feels really heavy and you can drop very fast. The s9 is better at making photo but I use v30 for calling/ youtune / email etc but not for selfie or camera . For facebook and instagram is ok , for something else I use Nikon. I took this phone because after i saw all my friends are using the same s9 as me and I hate that.Go v30 v40 if you like to be different

Is the battery good in the v40?
Somehow I prefer the looks of V30 - I love it how the bezels are symmetrically designed on the device. There was a similar situation with G3 and G4, where G3 was just a stunning looking handset comparing to its successor. But you can't argue with V40's performance.

Dude if LG removes the notch, and puts all the buttons on the back, and uses pure stock Android, this will beat any phone on the planet
i disagree. lg's UI brings a lot of useful features that stock android would render useless.

@@luisdavidparra3966 i think they should develop all their apps with material design in mind. they'd go hand in hand with google's apps. that would maybe speed updates up as well, considering the guidelines are already set.
I have a V40, at first I thought the notch was stupid too, because at first glance from the store demos it just seemed like something that was cutting into the screen and invading precious space for pictures and video. However while running it the notch never does that. The tabs on the side are just extra screen space to display the time, connection status, battery meter that would otherwise cut into the screenspace.

I have the V30, so definitely understand the drawbacks but was better than my HTC M8 Harmon Kardon. I miss the Dual speakers for stereo widescreen viewing.

Main difference does it come from loading apps it comes from keeping apps in your memory and multitasking an extra 2 gigabytes of RAM make a huge difference

These speed tesrs are fundamentaly flawed.
You only show how long an app takes to get from phone memory to ram, and that not a definition of speed at all.
Awesome, i made my decision, keep the v30 plus until lg make a phone worth upgrading as the v40 seems very similiar to even be called the same. Not much difference between them both
Everything is better about the V40 except battery size and the notch which I don't really like but it's not that bad to where I can't use the phone or anything. I actually prefer the V40 over the Note 9, the S10+ is the best phone out but it's way too much money and the V40 is very close to it for less than half the price which makes it a very good deal.
So there's no reason to upgrade from v30+? Waiting on V50 reviews & price drops lol

Honestly who cares about app loading times in real life, it's the performance that counts. Does the v30 and v40 have similar performance to warrant buying one over the other or upgrading, should be the question.

Dude, as the tests progress the 4gb memory of V30 gets more and more loaded compared to the 6 gb of the V40, so it starts to lose more ground because of it! You should have cleared the ram memory of both phones!

I had the lg g3 first, after two years it started boot loop. I switched carriers, my wife and I got v20 phones, after three years mine died, I got a v30, good so far, then 5 months after my v20 died my wife's phone is in boot loop. She is now looking to get a new phone, would like one with at least the screen size of my v30. I don't know if I trust lg anymore, it is like you just finish paying for it then it dies. Hopefully my v30 will last longer, though since the battery is not removable (I had two for my v20 that I switched around now and then, and had just bought a more powerful battery that I never used, and had hoped my wife would be able to use), so we will see.

Не ребята, с ним все же что-то не то. Вибромотор противный, звук из динамика сильно хуже G7, джек сверху, широкоугольник без стаба, да и основные фотки мыльноваты (линзы в G4 все ещё лучше). Но сасэмое плохое - нестабильный блютуз. Мощность мала даже для квартиры, постоянные обрывы.
@@IlyaKudin , да гонишь, единственное с чем согласен, так это с джеком сверху, ну и после g5 звук с внешнего динамика слабоват. Блютуз - вранье, ширик - это вообще не стоит упоминать, так как запросы у всех разные, камера не мылит, хз что там у вас. Вибромотор противный? Вы что совсем, возьмите в руки все кроме мейзу топовых и айфонов, и вы поймете что он идеален.
@@Optimuszzz было бы интересно узнать ваш опыт эксплуатации блютуза, какие девайсы висят на нём, как давно. Что касается мотора, то я знаю что бывает сильно хуже, но после G6 он всё же ощущается резковатым. Всё остальное - это объективные особенности, и то, что кому-то "достаточно" или кажется нормальным, не меняет ситуацию к лучшему для остальных.
К слову, почти за год эксплуатации G6 на экране не появилось ни царапины. И стекло закрывающее камеру в идеале. А вот v30 обцарапался за месяц по кругу, будто ему уже 3 года. Полагаю, легко царапающийся экран, это плата за гориллу5, по сравнению с четвёртой в G6. Короч, этим девайсом я сразу разочаровался немного. Но спустя полгода уже пообвык, так что в целом доволен (не не как слон ))).
@@IlyaKudin, пользуюсь 11 с копейками месяцев, заказывл на eBay, блютуз без проблемный, устройства которые часто использую это какая то ноунем китайская колонка, а также не дорогие наушники: Bluedio T4S, AWEI T11, играют чисто, без каких либо прерываний, брал все на Аliexpress, (конечно же если через стены использовать, все поменяется). Что касательно царапин, за все время их нет, только потертости в нижней части края экрана, в том месте где вытягиваешь навигационные клавиши, и то, только под определенным углом при совсем детальном рассмотрении. Чехлов и стекл телефон не видел, возможно использую как то не правильно, аккуратно. Единственный баг с самой покупки , это на экране при яркости от 0 до 20 видна, на белом\желтом\розовом\зеленом цвете некая сетка, хз как описать, думал выгорание экрана, но за все время ничего не усугубилось, и при яркости свыше описанной мной выше все пропадает.
there's definitely something wrong with your v30. it most certainly doesn't take that long to open apps and stuff.

How did LG release the v30 with such shitty stabilization? I'm still happy with mine but will probably buy the v40 in December off of Swappa. By then it should go for around $200 or close to that new via TMobile
