My favorite books of this year was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn barnes, Dreams lie Beneath by Rebecca Ross, A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
I read Fourth Wing this year along with the rest of the population and I think that has to take the cake as best book for me this year. I also loved Evelyn Hugo and her 7 husbands, Daisy Jones and the Six, The Family Game, Daisy Darker, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, The Last Word, The Naturals series, If He Had Been With Me, Haunting Adeline, Archer's Voice, Reminders of Him, Spanish Love Deception... to name a few!
There’s actually another book coming out for the Inheritance Games series! It should be coming out next year, and is called “The Grandest Game”. Hopefully we get to see appearances from all of the original characters.🤞
My favourite book was definitely Ballad of Never After. I was so engrossed in the story and I read it so fast! My most disappointing book was probably The London Seance Society. 99% my fault because I didn’t fully understand the synopsis before I read it but it just wasn’t for me at all. It’s the only book I’ve DNFd
if i’m not mistaken i think you said reckless is the last book in the chestnut spring series- but there’s actually one more called hopeless! just in case you didn’t know, i don’t want you to miss out!
My rabbit ( he passed away a few years ago) was called Magnus, and my son is called Jayce 🙄 I mean if you know you know haha! Not that I’m a shadowhunters fan at all honest 🤣🤣
The books mentioned in the video have given me more on my TBR list such as 7 year slip. Just joined your book club and borrowing Lovelight Farms through Libby. Looking forward to talking about it.
Hi Ali! I wanted to give some book recs so... here they are 1. The serpent and dove series is one of my faves. It's set in France when the church was the government and people believed in witches, except the witches were actually real and there are chasseurs (witch hunters). You follow the story of Louise Le Blanc and Ried Diggory. They are forced to marry and so on, and THE PLOT IS CRAZY!!! You do need to keep in mind that all three books are basically consecutive, so where the first book ends, the second book starts right away. Due to this, there are SO MANY cliffhangers. 5-star series for me!!! Also, the books are like 550 pages each so.... good luck!!! 2. The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy is a 6-star series for me!!! It follows Auren who is called 'the king's gold favoured'... like she is LITERALLY GOLD! The books are so crazy and there is a kind of love triangle... it's hard to explain, so it would make me so happy if u read it!!! 3. Twilight. It's self-explanatory. Maybe you could do a Twilight reading vlog to see your thoughts!!! 4. On the edge by Joanna Mazurkiewicz is a romance between a rich, Scottish man named Dexter and a nurse who is a pole dancer in her free time named Sasha. This book is SPICY, like spicy from the first sentence. If you are in the mood for a really spicy romance... this is it. 5. I just saw My Fault by Mercedes Ron on your cart and I would just like to say I LOVED this book! It is definitely and bad boy-good girl romance an I basically finished in 1 sitting. I hope you enjoy it! Anyway, those are my book recs! I hope you take them into consideration for some of your next reads! I love your book videos, they are such chill vibes and always get me in the mood to read!
I swear your rating for the chestnut spring series is the same as mine.. a lot of people’s favorite is powerless, but that’s my least favorite.. Theo and Rhett , Summer and Winter are my favorites characters so far! I haven’t read the last book!
My faves of the year, in no order: -The Other Side by Kim Holden (1st 6 star of the year, so important with mental health/depression) -Shadowlands trilogy by Kate Brian (mindblowing 1st book twist) -The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes -Safe Harbor by K. Sinko (unexpectedly cried) -Franco (Bright Side 3) by Kim Holden -Red Queen series (so far 1st 3) Honorable mention to Reminders of Him
My favorite book of this year was Bunny by Mona Awad; the storytelling was just so enticing and I had never read anything like it. It's a twisted book, and I can't wait to reread it soon! My least favorite book of 2023 was Twisted Love by Ana Huang; it just made me so angry, especially the ending! I do want to read Twisted Games because I actually like those characters, but it'll take a lot for me to actually crack it open because of the bad taste Twisted Love put in my mouth.
If you loved ACOTAR you should definitely read the Crescent City series, it definitely has a lot of the same vibes. I’m reading it right now and loving it! ❤️
I think a couple of my favorite books of the year are the Cat and Mouse Duet and Say You Swear!! My least favorites were probably Secretly Yours and Sharp Objects!
I think my top three faves this year have to be The Love Hypothesis, Verity and The Satsuma Complex (also shout out to Elastic Habits for best non fiction) and for least favourite, maybe From the Embers
