- Mark Peterson closes out the half way point on the South America Waterfowl Slam. On just the third day of the hunt, he is able to take a Chilean Wigeon and a Rosy Billed Pochard which make species number 9 and 10 of the 20 on his list. Mark is still sharing the blind with Matt Gindorff, a WTA consultant, and they discuss waterfowl hunting in Argentina and how it compares to that of the U.S.

I am really enjoying your waterfowl series of slams. Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely, and thank you for filling along!
That looks like duck hunting paradise!
That's one way to put it! It was absolutely incredible!!
The Best!!! You guys did an awesome Job again👍🏻.. can’t wait to see more!
Thanks Marvin! More to come every Wednesday!
Love the series! Cool birds mark!
Thank you!, and thanks for following along on the journey!
Great hunt congrats on the bird
Mark, awesome video!
Dream hunt!
Argentina, my ultimate bucket list hunt destination!
Love your vids brother!
Great hunting as usual. In the 80's I shot, what we call a chileo wigeon at the Solway(in Cumbria) when it was nearly dark. When I picked it up I thought it was a Shellduck as it had a muddy stripe on it's chest with almost white wings- wish now I'd had it mounted, as I have never seen another one.
They are such a cool bird, and probably my favorite one from Argentina.
you should really try do a grand slam her in South Africa... 38 species of waterfowl... i have hunted them all but never in one season
Thank you for the idea. I’ll have to add that to my list of things to accomplish. I think south America, Upland slam will be my next. 👍🏼
@@MarkVPeterson cool man... If you ever do find yourself on the dusty roads in south Africa give me a shot I have plenty of duck hunting territory for you... And if you ever do come ill show you what a real knobb billed duck looks like... Here we call them comb duck... They are a bit bigger than the ones you shot... With 4X the size comb... I think in a good week on my farm you should get 19-20 of the species
That’s a dream hunt and a half
Nothing short of spectacular! Argentina takes the cake for the best wing shooting anywhere!
Man that bird was beautiful. Have to get me that wiedgon man. Just mounted some for the first time last year and they make beautiful mounts. Need a Storm and a Chillian to go with my other birds for sure.
Stay after them and I'm sure you'll pick one up!
Thank you and that does stink you can’t hunt there.
FYI …There is no bird known as Chilean wigeon. It is Chiloe wigeon. There is a specie known as Chilean teal.
Do they have divers down there or sea ducks on the coast?
Rosy bills and black headed ducks are divers. I believe all their sea ducks are endangered.
We hunted on the coast once we moved to Peru (episodes coming soon on that) and we shot a lot of the same species as we did here in Argentina.
