Knob-Billed Duck in Peru, Number 14 | The Journey Within, South America Waterfowl Slam

- It took a couple days longer than expected, but Mark Peterson finally gets species number 14, the Knob-Billed duck while hunting in Peru. After a couple of close calls, this one was the definition of adapt and overcome. Mark and the crew had to first find the birds, then learn what it was going to take to get into the right position in order to capitalize. Of course, there was some fast mid-day action along the way to keep spirits high.

Isn’t muscovies a flightless duck? In Canada they are raised as meat ducks…. They don’t fly or shut up lol
@@ACNaskmeaboutit those are the domestic type, in South America there are wild, they have a dark color with green reflections, a white patch on the wing and they fly
gonna have to have a go in the UK, will be very hard to get the Goldeneye or Pochard but worth the pain

Mark,. How many banded birds did you get between the two series? Do they have different processes in s.a. verses up here in the US
I only shot one banded bird in the North America Waterfowl slam, and then none in South America.
