Finally some "Off The Record" appreciation!!! Its my absolute favorite of the comeback and I feel like it was kinda buried by the impact of the other two among fans.

To me I feel like ‘either way’ is literally just about ives actual hardships. Like I feel like each of the lyrics apply to their own controversies, hate, and scandals. Yk? I almost feel like some of those tears weren’t entirely fake, I mean maybe (probably) not but regardless I like how they’re encouraging the idea that it just doesn’t matter, all the love and hate is inevitable and you have to stay strong and positive 🥹🥹 for that either way is probably my favorite. But I literally love baddie Idc what anyone says 👿👿

agreed 100%. all the ridiculous hate Ive has had to deal with since debut is bound to hurt the girls, even if they don't acknowledge it. Either Way was the perfect answer for all Ive haters out there.

omg yess!! i would love to see you guys react to some other stuff from them, specially their 1,2,3 ive season 3, they have a dating concept in a few episodes and they're all really gay with each other even during their regular schedule, except leeseo, she's out of all of the flirting since she's the maknae, but there's some weird relationship drama thing going on between wonyoung, liz, rei and yujin. Also yujin is lately a sapphic favorite, you've probably seen her on the kpopsapphic account
Wonyoung in the 1theK video today said that whenever she tries to act cute Liz claims that she’s flirting with her 😂😂
I interpreted 'Either Way' in two ways (pun intended). Like the obvious message of all the hardships, IVE has faced due to the criticism from the public, toxic fans, and haters. The other way I saw it was a comfort song for the lgbtq community. Just from the lyrics they chose and the acting. In one of the scenes, it seems like one of the girls was kicked out of their home and moved in with her friend, and even at that part the lyrics mentioned criticizing the friendship. The way it was played out, I interpreted it as her getting kicked out because of her identity and moving in with her girlfriend and/or her queer friends. I noticed rainbow flags in the scene where one of them is dancing in a room full of flags and streamers. The lyrics talking about several types of love or loving differently also stand out, and the scene where two girls hold hands. That's just the way I interpreted the song and video. Then again artists release music so we can receive their message while also interpreting it in a way that it can resonate with us. Just thought to point it out.
