The transformers looking things are known as "mecha" and were super popular back in the days, alongside overall space centered stories ^^ It's interesting because despite the way we tend to look at giant robot stories now, they are usually different then "silly stories for kids with robots". Of course there were that too, they were sponsored by toy manufacturers after all, but since the WWII was close and there were a lot of changes still happening in japan, a lot of mecha became very serious commentary on war, politics and tragedies. Imagine Attack on Titan but instead of titans there are giant robots piloted by humans, after all AoT is often jokingly called a "flesh mecha anime". Some of the biggest ones in the genre would include Mobile Suit Gundam (I highly recommend checking out the openings and maybe some series, it is a giant and might seem daunting at first but is an amazing piece of history), Macross, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Code Geass (these are from just the top of my head, there is of course much much more) ^^
I 100% recommend Oshi no Ko!!!! Little info about it, the first episode covers the entire first volume so it is an hour long and there’s a post credits scene
I think you'd love Sailor Moon, it's such a good anime series, it's remake recently just had it's final movie release on Netflix even though the movie came out last year, I just started it recently the 90's anime & working my way towards Crystal (which is the remake)
Difference between Naruto and Naruto shippuden is that the first is more like introduction to the main story (which is happening in Shippuden) and characters. Shippuden is more darker with deeper story (in my opinion). I recommend it. Its worth your time
There is no actual difference. The manga for Naruto had no distinction. It was just Part 1 and Part 2. The anime renamed it Shippuden for marketing reasons. Similar to how there is no such thing as a Dragon Ball Z manga. It was just Dragon Ball.
Oh hey I was born '98 too! Regarding Naruto: the watch order is Naruto first and then Naruto Shippuden. I got into Naruto in 2017 at the urging of a friend after it was still freshly completed which was nice bc I did skip most of the fillers 😅. I would also really recommend Erased! It's a one season and done kind of series so easy to get into.
If you want to do some reactions, I recommend Beastars, openings, you can also do the endings (I think the endings are even better), there not a lot of reactions of it so it would be cool 👍

It's incredible how much of a cushioning effect adding the "-looking things" statement has after saying "Transformers", lmao Holy crap, I was going to ask by what metric these were chosen, but when 2005 had AIR's Tori no Uta as its pick I almost started clapping. But it's still hard to know with these things because of the way mass media exploded after the 2000s, and the way anime productions started collaborating with major record labels looking to get their musicians out there, so after decades of writing "anime songs for anime" it became "songs we associate with having been used for anime" after a while. And then lately it's taken a turn back to the music being more closely related. Like, it makes you wonder if this list was based on sales charts, then the record labels would be pushing the music outside of just its anime context as well. Of course, the more hardcore nerdy stuff never stopped making the kinda music that would never fly outside of the deeply entrenched context, but nowadays the new big name anime have theme songs more tailored to them, yeah. Someone should make a video for 2006 alone, considering how modern otaku culture took a turn around that year.

As for anime recommendations, first, since you are just starting out I'll give you a couple shorter ones to balance out with the titan that is One Piece Bocchi the Rock Oshi No Ko Bofuri Kaguya-sama Love Is War Konosuba The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (You are more than allowed to skip Episodes 14-18 and plenty will agree) As for the above mentioned Precure franchise, my starting point was Smile Precure, but absolute favorite to this day is Go! Princess Precure. In the case of Smile Precure and Dokidoki Precure, stay away from the Netflix Saban Dubs. I should know, I watched both. Great voice work and Dubs overall, just Americanized story writing and cut Episodes makes them vastly inferior to the Subs. Lastly, a few bigger ones I can recommend Sailor Moon (Sub or Viz Media Redub) Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds Aikatsu Re;Zero Cardcaptor Sakura Probably missed quite a lot but this should be a good mix of old and new stuff
These are the "most popular openings" of each year, not necessarily the most popular anime of that year. There is overlap. Also though many of the choices seem pretty accurate, there are a few that are questionable and since the video author didn't state their methods its hard to check.

There's no difference besides age between naruto and naruto shippuden. It's the same story split into 2 parts. The so called Og naruto is just part one naruto and shippuden is part 2 naruto. Both are Og naruto.

it's cool to see new people into anime but nowdays there's these people called tourists that we all hate, don't become one, enjoy what you like in anime and ignore what you don't, please don't be a pesky tourist that just come to anime for a while, get triggered or outraged by some sexist joke, big booba or wierd trope in anime and put up a cancelation on twitter, they try to change generes of anime they don't like to leave it later. remember/manga anime/manga has generes, so not evrything is for everyone, each genere is targeted to particular target audience, but is so diverse that there's somethign to everyone.

to save your anime home coming precious time, if you want to grow your channel fast, Naruto is first. It's the most emotional, mainstream anime that anyone can join in and 1. enjoy and 2. get views. One Piece is trash to start off with, just my opinion.

Holy crap, I was going to ask by what metric these were chosen, but when 2005 had AIR's Tori no Uta as its pick I almost started clapping. But it's still hard to know with these things because of the way mass media exploded after the 2000s, and the way anime productions started collaborating with major record labels looking to get their musicians out there, so after decades of writing "anime songs for anime" it became "songs we associate with having been used for anime" after a while. And then lately it's taken a turn back to the music being more closely related. Like, it makes you wonder if this list was based on sales charts, then the record labels would be pushing the music outside of just its anime context as well.
Of course, the more hardcore nerdy stuff never stopped making the kinda music that would never fly outside of the deeply entrenched context, but nowadays the new big name anime have theme songs more tailored to them, yeah. Someone should make a video for 2006 alone, considering how modern otaku culture took a turn around that year.
Bubblegum Crisis is easily in the top 5 OVAs ever made, definitely a high recommend from me 👍🏼

As for the above mentioned Precure franchise, my starting point was Smile Precure, but absolute favorite to this day is Go! Princess Precure. In the case of Smile Precure and Dokidoki Precure, stay away from the Netflix Saban Dubs. I should know, I watched both. Great voice work and Dubs overall, just Americanized story writing and cut Episodes makes them vastly inferior to the Subs.

There's no difference besides age between naruto and naruto shippuden. It's the same story split into 2 parts. The so called Og naruto is just part one naruto and shippuden is part 2 naruto. Both are Og naruto.

it's cool to see new people into anime but nowdays there's these people called tourists that we all hate, don't become one, enjoy what you like in anime and ignore what you don't, please don't be a pesky tourist that just come to anime for a while, get triggered or outraged by some sexist joke, big booba or wierd trope in anime and put up a cancelation on twitter, they try to change generes of anime they don't like to leave it later.
remember/manga anime/manga has generes, so not evrything is for everyone, each genere is targeted to particular target audience, but is so diverse that there's somethign to everyone.
