I grew up with Chente my heart ♥️ hurts so much right now. I had the privilege to see him in concert 4 times the first time in 1989 with Roció Dúrcal best concert ever. He’s a legend and his legacy and music will forever live.
Andy, not only did I live through out my life with his music, but so did my dad. And my grandfather. His music passed down through generations, and it wasn’t a phase or a fad. Not many artists can do that. Let alone have the radio stations still play his music and not a single person be tired of listening to it.

I would like to take this moment in my day to tell you Andy how much i admire you and your channel and how much i admire you. Chente was the main influence that drew me to the música ranchera from a young age and his passing hurts every day knowing that he is gone. Just to know that there exists such a level of appreciation for the genre outside of the Latino community brings tears to my eyes. For me El Mariachi is not only a symbol of my Mexican culture but a symbol of who I am. I hope that in my generation they're individuals who long to connect with genre the way i wish too and not let die one of the most iconic sounds in traditional Mexican music. For me El Mariachi is not only a symbol of my Mexican culture but a symbol of who I am. I hope that in my generation they're individuals who long to connect with genre the way i wish too and not let die one
