She was an introvert and often felt uncomfortable with all the attention. She and Rosie clearly connected as friends, so I think she felt at ease with her.
She was so ordinary looking in her later young years 30s and 40s but when the Golden Girls arrived she blossomed into a beautiful and elegant woman. One thing I always notice about Bea is her lovely hands and arms!
Totally love Rosie and always will. Like the whole country - the whole world - she took the 9-11 events very hard and we really felt her unravel before our very eyes during the last years of her talk show. When I see these pre-9-11 clips, it just breaks my heart and puts a smile on my face at the same time. Isn't that odd? Love you, Rosie. xx
Not a fan of Rosie, but any interview with Bea is always interesting. She's down to earth, natural, unaffected. Saw her(Bea), here in Savannah in 2001, and she was sublime. RIP, BEA
I love Bea's interviews - this one in particular was wonderful. I never watched Golden Girls in its entirety and started recently. Unfortunately, I ended up online and down a rabbit hole, and while I've read lovely stories about Bea, I've read even more not-so-lovely stories. They mostly came out after her death when she couldn't share her version, and that just rubs me the wrong way. I suppose if you dig that deep about anyone, not everything you find is going to be sunshine and rainbows. And who knows if all of it's accurate? There's a quote I heard before that applies here. Something about there being 3 sides to every story: One side, the other side, and the truth. By the way, it's awesome that you got to see her perform. :)
I liked Rosie when she had this show, but she was obnoxious on The View. She should have stuck to lighthearted interviews and singing off key. Bea is a legend. I’ve seen mixed opinions regarding her personality, but she certainly was talented and an excellent entertainer.
Bea seemed to really enjoy herself during that interview. I've seen other interviews where she didn't seem to want to be there.

I agree. She seemed genuinely happy to be there and to do it for Rosie. I know what you mean about some of her other interviews.
Bea Arthur WAS the Golden Girls for me. I will always miss her. 💕😊
I love this interview so much Bea really did enjoy herself bless her 🤗❤️
I WISH Bea were still alive and I WISH she had a Twitter
Oh my gosh. Excellent. RIP Bea Author. Great show Rosie. We miss you .
Finally someone who recognized her as Maude Findlay. As a signature role & career defining one.
Yeah. I was pretty surprised she didn't even mention Golden Girls
Bea Arthur is about 74 -75 here and looks absolutely stunning.

I love Bea Arthur! Fellow Taurus!❤️❤️
I loved the Rosie O'Donnell show. It was a must watch after school.
Thank you Rosie for bringing in the greats from our past. No one is doing this now
And many of them have bucket kicked in the 20-25 years since this show.
Thank you for all these Rosie clips! I hope you will continue with them.

Thanks Rossie, thanks Bea.
Why wasn't the Maude scene shown?
It was shown on the show, but this video upload doesn't have it Or the "All in the Family" segment to shorten the Video.
This is beautiful
Good job.
My mom loved her. May they both rest in peace.
@@woah455 She was talking about her mom
Rosie was great at this time. Once she quit the 90's talk show she began angry. She is better now but the damage was done.
Can't stand Rosie...glad she faded away. Love Bea though...love her forever.
Too bad the nice Rosie was only a facade.
we all are. peace.
“ Queen of Nice “
God, I hate Rosie. Bea is a saint! And Bea took over this interview!
