Damrau? Oh please! Her screaming in this aria in an attempt to sound "dramatic" is horrendous.

LAKAJIAB personally i relate because i've learnt german for a while and still don't know how to pronounce "Milch" (which means milk😅).

German is a pretty hard language to enunciate. I can imagine that the umlauts are pretty hard. Imagine the ö sounding like "ur" and the er sounding like "uh" Imagine that you're doing a British accent with V's for w's that can really help perfect your German accent.

Its in the style of traditional… like how a musical theatre song would be in the style of theatre, and a pop song in the style of pop…

I find it easier to hit the high F when you place your larynx in position then push out the air as if you were shouting to someone across the street. It shouldn't be approached with timidity. This is an angry, fierce aria and should be sung as such.

same! i haven't really done vocal training but i do warmups for myself and kinda just do it- it's okay the first try- beat the second or third then i can't hit the f anymore bc my voice gets tired after that T-T but it's soso fun! i want to perform it some day

I'm tenor .but I do the whole song with my head voice which goes up to f scale ...i cannot do soprano opera of this one but I do it with head voice fully with the help of my falsettos.
