The first guy isn’t swinging the sledgehammer correctly; he’s choking the hammer handle too close to head pushing the head of the hammer rather than swinging it freely allowing the weight of the hammer head do most of the work.
Well ya gotta realize he’s about 5’4” and 120 lbs. now your average fat ass American could drive it in with a ball peen hammer but this little feller is doing the best he can.
Try swinging a sledge hammer with a correct grip at something at head level. Go on. Screw a metal plate to a tree at eye level and hit it swinging overhand with a 'correct' grip. It's really, really difficult.
