After thinking about this for a bit, the only canon divergence I can think of is that Moon is heavily advertised around the Pizzaplex - moreso than even Sun. Advertising Moon just wouldn’t make sense if he wasn’t supposed to be half of the daycare attendant. Moon fans rejoice - he is canonically still supposed to exist.
@@IDsFantasyI know almost nothing about FNAF lore, so please let me know if I’m being silly here. What if moon was reprogrammed to be more of a daycare attendant (hence the advertising) but the corruption thing that happened to the animatronics affected moon by making them revert to the scrapped code that was still dormant in the system? I mean, it would also explain why Eclipse (The merged personalities of Sun & Moon) would be friendly and welcoming like Sun while also being level-headed and able to get things done (As shown by gently escorting Cassie out due to being unsafe in the daycare). Those latter traits certainly aren’t Sun’s, so surely they are Moon’s. Considering how Moon was advertised with “sleepy sweets”, perhaps they were this guardian that looked over kids as they slept? If so, the traits would fit well. I apologise for rambling, I would very much appreciate a response from someone who knows more than me.
I literally found this in the recommended shorts when watching a video called "I found every OSHA violation in FNAF security breach" so yeah, the algorithm agrees with you on that.
It's weird how moon just... adapted to being in a daycare now and switched to punishing people for being up past their bedtime because I doubt that was his on stage schtick.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he just saw the daycare as a show to preform with constant improvising. Maybe this is why he doesn’t immediately tackle Gregory when he first comes out, he’s just extra like that.
it can't be that much. if they put LED lights on his face that still emit a soothing light he'd stay the same right? and with that he'd be able to keep kids calm when the lights go out.
I honestly think Moondrop’s purpose was to teach children to go to sleep and not be violent towards them since in the moondrop Candy logo we see moondrop appearing peaceful and not aggressive looking.
That could just be how they did the branding so that the public didn't get upset. And it's not that Moon is violent per se (that specifically is probably Glitchtrap being involved), just very creepy

Might I say that I enjoy how you reply to all of the comments ((well most im sure you might have missed some)) It's always great to see creators actually interact.
I actually recently watched a video about how many OSHA (probably got that wrong) violations the Pizzaplex has and let's just say they have a few million dollars in fines
What's funny is this short turned up underneath fruitshark's "I found every OSHA violation in Security Breach" and🌟fun fact!🌟 OSHA doesn't care what any violations would do to children since they specifically protect the employees from workplace violations. You should go watch her video, it was very entertaining (And for anyone wondering, there was only 1 OSHA violation for the generator in the daycare so far since I'm in the middle of watching the video myself)
oh! this reminds me of a theory I saw while I had fnaf videos playing in the background while studying for exams, I do remember a video from Alpine does Fnaf (just had to scroll back in my history to find the name lmao) where they talked about sun and moon originally being in the theatre, and the daycare originally being more like pirates cove and foxy being the daycare attendant, and then something happening to him and them quickly having to sub in which I though was neat
People at fazbear company building: Employee: Hey boss, got an OSHA violation today Boss: for what Employee: uhh something about backup generators in kids play areas Boss:eh, put it in the pile
Yeah and plus they make for great security too being smarter and more persistent than the other animatronics, well almost smarter given his obsession with tidiness so I’m sure if you had the option to knock something over or spill something outside the daycare he would get right onto fixing/cleaning it
This implies that rather than having an employee to restart the power they threw the generators in there and gave the wires bright neon coloring so that the children would restart it themselves or die trying
Okay, I've been seeing a lot of misconception on Sun and Moon’s backstory, so I'm gonna tell what I learned from a DCA masterdoc. (EDIT: Keep in mind that some books aren’t supposed to be taken as canon to the game lore, so this story in the book may not even be their real backstory.) -Sun and Moon were originally stage animatronics, but they were made to perform in the theater instead of the main stage. -Moon turning evil was just an act for stories they would perform. He wasn't programmed to just flat out kill kids when the lights went out. -Now these last two things isn't outright confirmed in the book, but it’s been hinted in the game and speculated by the fandom that the Daycare was shut down after an incident involving Moon. It's likely been closed all the way up to the events of Security Breach. -It's also speculated that the generators were placed in the play structures as a failsafe for the EMPLOYEES to restore power to the Daycare during an unscheduled power outage. Just to keep Moon from wandering the Plex and wreaking havoc. (Cause why would the company instruct literal toddlers to use generators they could just turn back off and put themselves in danger again?)
I gotta say, I only recently discovered your channel, but each short and video you’ve put out has had amazing quality, it’s genuinely really shocking that you aren’t more well known in the community, your content is really great!
It seems they rebranded moon from being evil act/theater, from images/plush around pizza plex as he seen as a good guy(his plush looks like a party cinnamon role personality in game), being the night time daycare attendant/along with security features for nightime. (nice job upgrade then playing villain ) possible the mechanics hired where still working on his ai improvements since he was added in security mode, as shown in sb and the light generators maybe temporary fix, until they fixed him fully, before glitch trap came later and ruined it for moon.. also this explains vanny hiding/cloaking herself when she goes to the daycare when moon out... she can't control him.
Aaand - this is another AMAZING to know fact to add to my mental list of reasons The Celestial Twins are my most favourite animatronics in the FNAF games. So- i appreciate that you found this out, Thank you
Ok can someone make a video just talking about and covering all the health violations Fazbear Entertainment has had in the and I quote "pizzerias, horror establishments, simulators, dreams,VR games and most and importantly a very large mall with animatronics with emotions
Thank you for explaining One of the biggest mysteries of fnaf security breach for me. Fazbear ent be like ( We're a company associated with actual children murder and this is what they'll be mad at).
OoOo that's super interesting! I probably would change a few things, such as the fact that they immediately tried to get rid of Moon. I feel like the story would work better as them both being a team when it came to the Superstar Theater. Moon wouldn't really be coded to be "evil", but he would play the villain in the plays. Then they were somewhat reprogrammed to be part of the Daycare, until the virus hit, causing Moon to harm others against his will. Fazbear Entertainment would then hide the situation and close the Daycare, THEN putting in the generators to make sure the lights remained on. Honestly give a chance for more angst that way.
That explains why Sun acts so dramatic, he's literally a preformer. It also explains why Moon didn't tell Vanessa where Gregory was when he kidnapped Freddy, I suppose he's evil to everyone.
Or maybe he isn't actually evil and is forced to act that way cause of the way he was programmed I'm not sorry but I really don't like evil moon to many stereotypes reinforced
@@eternallylearning2811 That’s fine, it’s your perception of the character. I personally like the evil version (Cause I tend to prefer evil characters) but its fine if you don’t!

It does make for a rather interesting character. Good guy Sun when there's light, bad guy Moon when it's dark. I assume Moon isn't usually full blown murderous though, since Glitchtrap is there to consider. Maybe Glitchtrap only infected Moon due to the programming split
You are correct, it is an OSHA violation, one if many. There is a video explaining just Security Breach with all its violations, its called something like "I found every OSHA violation in Security Breach"
I watched a video a few days ago on all of the pizzaplex’s osha violations and the generators where on there but not because of the kids. According to that video OSHA focuses on employe safety, the generators being hard to get to, find, and the cables being everywhere made them a hazard to employees.
That book is my favorite so far, because we get an explanation to The Daycare Attendants Moon side being evil. But when you think about it, if they wanted to get rid of the moon side of the robot, why have promotional art and animations promoting that character? Maybe it was before they decided to get rid of him? Also, the ending in Submechanophobia is almost like the Afton ending. The creator of the theme park (William being the original owner of Fazbear Ent.) being attacked by the robots in the water tank (like The Blob snatching William) Its somewhat similar. Also, I'd love to hear your opinion on the story: Animatronic Apocalypse. It's creepy, unsettling, and has an interesting twist at the end. P.s. Love your content like always. I'm always happy to support UA-camrs like you. 😉😀👍

I also love Moon as a character despite the fact that he's a naturally aggressive animatronic, because he looks cool 👍
Yep!
I love that Scott and SW were so quick to embrace the fact that “it’s not a plot hole, the company is just a pos”
Yeah XD
God my brain hurts. You are super smart, so congrats on earning a new subscriber!
Thanks! I hope your brain has stopped hurting
It exploded

Might I say that I enjoy how you reply to all of the comments ((well most im sure you might have missed some))
It's always great to see creators actually interact.
Thank you! :D
I actually recently watched a video about how many OSHA (probably got that wrong) violations the Pizzaplex has and let's just say they have a few million dollars in fines
Pfft. Checks out
Plot twist: everything after the daycare area is just a hallucination from breathing in the exhaust from multiple generators in an indoor area.
What's funny is this short turned up underneath fruitshark's "I found every OSHA violation in Security Breach" and🌟fun fact!🌟 OSHA doesn't care what any violations would do to children since they specifically protect the employees from workplace violations. You should go watch her video, it was very entertaining
(And for anyone wondering, there was only 1 OSHA violation for the generator in the daycare so far since I'm in the middle of watching the video myself)
Oh boy 😅
oh! this reminds me of a theory I saw while I had fnaf videos playing in the background while studying for exams, I do remember a video from Alpine does Fnaf (just had to scroll back in my history to find the name lmao) where they talked about sun and moon originally being in the theatre, and the daycare originally being more like pirates cove and foxy being the daycare attendant, and then something happening to him and them quickly having to sub in which I though was neat
Yep! It's a neat theory and makes a good amount of sense tbh
"OSHA violation" Looks like that is talking after Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Yeah lol
Remember the company motto, “Sweep it under the rug, it’s probably fine.”
Yeah lol
@@IDsFantasy OMG THANKS FOR REPLYING!!!
It's moves like these which are like nice in short term but bad in long term because things stack up.
In what way?
@@IDsFantasy I mean the Cost and the Kids.
But knowing Fazbear entertainment they don't care about the Latter but maybe the former.
Ahhh yeah. Sounds about right
They had the “bright idea” that made me smile while u were talking about these two
I'm glad!
@@IDsFantasy there also my favorite in the fandom so had to take a watch 😂
Fair lol
Bro is the only one who REALLY fights his inner demons
Yeah XD
I love how Cassie immediately fixes the problem in basically 5 seconds with a tool basically everyone (should) have
Yeah lol
People at fazbear company building:
Employee: Hey boss, got an OSHA violation today
Boss: for what
Employee: uhh something about backup generators in kids play areas
Boss:eh, put it in the pile
Pfft XD
Yeah and plus they make for great security too being smarter and more persistent than the other animatronics, well almost smarter given his obsession with tidiness so I’m sure if you had the option to knock something over or spill something outside the daycare he would get right onto fixing/cleaning it
Lol yeah
This implies that rather than having an employee to restart the power they threw the generators in there and gave the wires bright neon coloring so that the children would restart it themselves or die trying
Yep 😅
Yea that book SAVED me I was looking at at everything to find out why moon was in a daycare.
Yeah XD
The entire Pizzaplex is an OSHA violation on it's own
Facts
I love the Freddy’s Diner company just being horrible people.
Okay, I've been seeing a lot of misconception on Sun and Moon’s backstory, so I'm gonna tell what I learned from a DCA masterdoc.
(EDIT: Keep in mind that some books aren’t supposed to be taken as canon to the game lore, so this story in the book may not even be their real backstory.)
-Sun and Moon were originally stage animatronics, but they were made to perform in the theater instead of the main stage.
Yep. Still weird for them to make employees climb through the play structures though
I gotta say, I only recently discovered your channel, but each short and video you’ve put out has had amazing quality, it’s genuinely really shocking that you aren’t more well known in the community, your content is really great!
Thank you! I appreciate it :D
Possibly!
Since the very beginning the Fazbear corporation has been very light on safety features
Truth lol
I love this channel so much 😭
Thank you!
Aaand - this is another AMAZING to know fact to add to my mental list of reasons The Celestial Twins are my most favourite animatronics in the FNAF games. So- i appreciate that you found this out, Thank you
👍
Ok can someone make a video just talking about and covering all the health violations Fazbear Entertainment has had in the and I quote "pizzerias, horror establishments, simulators, dreams,VR games and most and importantly a very large mall with animatronics with emotions
That could be a fun one XD
@@IDsFantasy but all this is just a idea a video idea thanks for reading
Thank you for explaining One of the biggest mysteries of fnaf security breach for me. Fazbear ent be like ( We're a company associated with actual children murder and this is what they'll be mad at).
No problem!
Possibly. Oh well lol
Honestly, that explains a lit about Sun and Moon designs as I always thought they look more like entertainers for a circus then for a daycare.
Yep!
That explains why Sun acts so dramatic, he's literally a preformer. It also explains why Moon didn't tell Vanessa where Gregory was when he kidnapped Freddy, I suppose he's evil to everyone.
Yep lol
Or maybe he isn't actually evil and is forced to act that way cause of the way he was programmed I'm not sorry but I really don't like evil moon to many stereotypes reinforced
@@eternallylearning2811 That’s fine, it’s your perception of the character. I personally like the evil version (Cause I tend to prefer evil characters) but its fine if you don’t!
@@serenityalvarez3003 thankyou I'm willing to fight people on this I've been relating to moon cause I see him a a victim for along time I really hope evil moon is not Canon having the crowd get approval like usual is bad for my mental health
@@eternallylearning2811 Of course! I 100% respect your opinion.
"Ok little Timmy just fix the power while hiding from the blood thirsty animatronic your 5 years old now your able to fix the power by yourself "
Yeah lol
@@IDsFantasy little Timmy:MOMMY HELP
Of course it wouldn’t be the company’s first wanna know why it’s because-
Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for death, disappearance or dismemberment.
True true
Imagine a kid walking up to the generator like “ooh what’s that” “ I think it’s called a generator” “should we touch it?” “Yes” *explodes*
Funny thing, at a con I got to see a panel about the OSHA violations in FNAF. The creator is on yt tho so if youre curious abt the OSHA violations of FNAF they're called fruitshark and they have a video of the panel and a video on security breach
That's amazing XD
@@IDsFantasy yeah. She kept joking abt how everything was camp and at one point the slides stopped working so we asked questions and instead of a question I just shouted that Funtime foxy is automatically camp bc of the painted nails and she cannot convince me otherwise and she agreed lmao. If you watch the convention video I answered one of the guesses of how much money but I got it wrong. 🥲 I was Ennard
Nice!
THANK YOU! Finally someone else to talks about that bit!
No problem :D
Why would they make moon actually evil anyway?
It does make for a rather interesting character. Good guy Sun when there's light, bad guy Moon when it's dark. I assume Moon isn't usually full blown murderous though, since Glitchtrap is there to consider. Maybe Glitchtrap only infected Moon due to the programming split
Maybe not evil, but more like a trickster, like the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland.
Fazbear Entertainment must have some CRAZY good lawyers
Yeah lol
Fazbear Entertainment really is the pinnacle of how not to run a company
(It’s sort of like watching Elon run Twitter)
Yep
(Pfft)
I’m m quite glad this channel popped off a bit
I always felt like Moon was the main antagonist of Security Breach, not Vanny or Glitchtrap.
Fair lol
You are correct, it is an OSHA violation, one if many. There is a video explaining just Security Breach with all its violations, its called something like "I found every OSHA violation in Security Breach"
XD yeah
That makes sense lol
But they’re still my favorite 💗
Fair XD
I watched a video a few days ago on all of the pizzaplex’s osha violations and the generators where on there but not because of the kids. According to that video OSHA focuses on employe safety, the generators being hard to get to, find, and the cables being everywhere made them a hazard to employees.
Nice lol
Matpat made a video on Osha and willy Wonka
I'd love him to do another fun video like that but for the pizza plex XD
That would be great XD
@@IDsFantasy yeah lol XD
One of my favorite things about that part of the game is how sun seems to be afraid of moon. It's a really good touch.
Yep!
Honestly I prefer the Fanon idea that Moon used to run nap time before going rogue for whatever reason..
Fair enough. But hey, that's what AUs are for :D
Same I see moon as a victim first and foremost
Me as well I see moon as a victim first and foremost
I watched a video of the OSHA violations in Security Breach and there was so many sun was a falling hazard😭
XD nice
It's incredible how Fazbear Entertainment never learns from their mistakes over the years and just say "A murderous robot? who cares gimme money"😅
Yeah lol
This is one of the most fazbear company things the fazbear company has every done
Yep lol
It's very cool. My thought is they don't want to make it too obvious that Moon is a mistake, but that's definitely possible
And yeah, I noticed a lot of those parallels. It's pretty neat
Ah, Animatronic Apocalypse. That's one I might make a longer video on. There's some very interesting stuff there
Thank you for the support!
I've thought about making a vlog video regarding that we will never have another indie developer like Scott Cawthon. Personality wise, and pretty much success wise.
That could be cool!
This is SO much more entertaining and enjoyable than game theory. I often find his classic voice kinda annoying, but this is just- *chefs kiss* and it’s mainly FNaF! I’m so glad that UA-cam showed me your channel!
Thank you! I'm also glad UA-cam showed you the channel XD
Since when fazbear entertainment cared about OSHA violations?
Fair point lol
Nice video, I can’t wait for the next one!!
Thanks! Glad to hear it
