Malawi asks for help from neighbours to search for missing aircraft

- The government of Malawi is now asking for help from neighbouring countries in the search for a military aircraft, carrying the country's Vice President Saulos Chilima, that went missing.
It's understood nine people were on board the plane when it went off the radar yesterday.

I remember reading a story some months back about how RSAs search and rescue capabilities were largely in a state of disrepair.
Maybe that explains why Chikwera asked Western countries for assistance. That or there's bad blood over Bushiri not being extradited.

There is no us Base in zambia
Only countries with sophisticated satellites can help with the search. Other neighbours don't have that tech. That's why the US, UK and Israel were asked to determine the search area. That's my take on it.
That can be done when the immediate helpers have failed
We have drones.... The plane went missing in the morning... We have Google maps.... These do not need government officials.... It's common knowledge

I think we need to pray for the plane to be found and the families get their loved ones. This is bad. Malawian government should put aside all the differences they have with neighboring countries and put forward the lives of the lost people. They must ask for assistance to these neighboring countries.
