- Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share one of our favorite videos to make each year, Team Yoseka's 2024 Planner Roundup! In this video, different members of our team share the 2023 planners they've been using and then the 2024 planners that they've chosen for the year ahead, as well as talk about some of the things that worked well and didn't work well for them. I laughed out loud when Amy said “I would say that’s correct” because fyi for those who haven’t had the pleasure of going in person to the Yoseka store, Amy is THE MOST PASSIONATE PERSON EVER about planners and her enthusiasm in person is infectious.
These personal planner usage videos are my ABSOLUTE favourites, not just with Yoseka, but across UA-cam.
I am a practical planner, no decorations, but use several planners for appointments and logging. I love to get ideas from other people’s custom use.

This series is my most favorite Techo Kaigi across all of UA-cam. Such a good intro to different planners and a good insight everyday usage. One question though...where's Authan?!

I absolutely plan in bed! I love being able to clear my mind and wind down before going to sleep! Love seeing everyone's planner lineups. I am totally like Amy where I buy pretty planners and then try to fit them into my life because PRETTY!

Gantt charts are really helpful for project planning when there are lots of dependencies and a target end date. I actually wish there was a book with a 52 week or 24 (semi monthly) chart across, or even a quarter at a time. I don’t need to plot things out as much when they’re contained in 30 days, it’s usually the super long term projects with workstreams that span 1-3 weeks at a time that really require this visualization.
I draw my own in my cousin, and I use this to plan things like deep cleaning my apartment or to plot out several capacity-draining projects over the course of a year
Amy and I think alike. I got the Take-A-Note for 2024 to plan and log. The TAN has a faint line down the middle where she drew the line, so it's as if it was also made for that. I want it to be a kind of memory keeping. I like the idea of having plans and comparing them to what I actually do. I can't wait to start it. I've been using the December monthly so far.

This is my absolute favorite video y’all make all year! Loved the new faces and the OG faces like Ashley ❤️😢 praying she heals up soon!! I love how different everyone plans and utilizes their planners and stationery! I have to say Ashley that stack is HUGE 😅 very intimidating! Also, I’m with Amy on this one I always plan on my bed 🛌 I’m usually laying on stomach and feet crisscrossed in the air lmfao 🤣 idk 🤷🏽♀️ I’m a straight up weirdo! Loved finally meeting Gordon on video too!! I’m going to be using the Hobonichi weeks, the A6 Take A Note planner and I’ve added the Kleid x Eric Small Things A5 Loose leaf binder with the Eric Small Things 2024 planner insert! Yay! This is my favorite video each year. I always am interested to see if everyone is going to be using bookbound planners or if anyone will use a ringbound.

I loved seeing the insides how people used their planner! Loved May's daily doodles and seeing how she blocked off time hourly in the vertical format. The date journal looked so fun!
That was a fun video. Thank you. Such nice people. Starting off with May was perfect for me, because the first 2024 planner I got was the same Hon as hers. Then I started thinking it might be too big to carry around, so I bought the A6 gingham Hon. But it doesn't have weeks, so I bought the weekly supplement calendar. Then! When I was scrolling Yoseka's website back in October and saw that the Hiroko Kubota: Another night of falling star sparklers was back in stock, I bought it. Even though I've never used a weeks. That cover is just so pretty! So here I am less than two weeks from the new year, and I'm not sure which planner I'm going to use. 😂 Happy Holidays to all of you!
P.S. I do a lot of planning and drawing in bed, not necessarily at night; sometimes early quiet morning in bed is the perfect time.

I got a Take A Note and the OURS research journal for next year! Can’t wait to dive into both. I love seeing how everyone on the team uses their planners and you all have inspired me to design my own printable planner pages for quilting projects and trying new recipes. Happy holidays, Yoseka!

aaah I was just rewatching last year’s techo kaigi last night and I was so excited to see this! I’d definitely love to see check-ins throughout the year, and also any videos of anybody who might be using their books for things that might be less planning in the traditional sense and more logging or journaling! like the media log, for example. I’m trying to get into the swing of planning more but I’m definitely more of a journaler and I’d love inspiration 💗

I love the A6 spread of the spending tracker at the beginning of the video! After watching this, I implemented this spread into my planner. This spread gives me a better eye-view on my weekly spending. Thank you for the idea! I learn a lot from Yoseka's videos on how you use planners!
I am so happy I found this channel. I spent the past two weeks of 2023 getting my notebooks for 2024 dialed in. Final tally, 5 books 😂
These videos are fantastic.
I am not sure about a Gantt chart book. The beauty of the charts digitally is that they are dynamic and shift automatically if an associated chained task is adjusted. Doing all the schedule shifts manually would be a huge PITA to keep up with.
Haha, I'm totally not planning in bed - I need to get up and sit at my desk with a cup of coffee! Thank you for showing everyone's personal systems. It's super interesting to see what works for different people and situations. Personally, I'm actually pretty close to planner peace now. I think I can fit everything I need to plan and track and note into one Hobonichi Weeks (yes, you're all really close to my functional and aesthetic ideal!) for the year. Let's see if that works out in 2024...!

Commonplace notebook = Midori A5 graph;
Planner/daily memory keeper = Hobonichi Techo A5;
Church sermon notes = Midori B6 slim lined;
Traveler’s regular = personal journal;
Traveler’s passport = daily carry reminders & quick notes;

I sit on the floor in my livingroom every night to plan haha! Sometimes at the kitchen table while i eat breakfast
Amy at 44:51 "I do a lot of things in bed because there are a lot of things on my desk" : totally relate.
Most desk surfaces in my room are always full, so I would sometimes either write while I'm in bed, or have a small seat next to my bed while I write on it.
I would've preferred a lower bed, but I'm stuck with this one - might as well let it double as a table.
I absolutely loved this video. I’m a lifelong planner kind of person but your team put me to shame! I’m inspired and revved up now to reassess my planners and pens for the new year. The video has given me so many great ideas. Loved it, thank you!
I did the same thing with the OURS research planner last year as what Ashley is talking about, haha. I was like "I want this planner because I love it!" but I ended up not using it (oops!) Will be using it sometime for just a memory tracker. And sorry Amy, I don't plan while I'm in bed 😂 I usually do it at my desk or on a pillow on the floor at my coffee table!

I started the PAL planner in December 2023, as a Health Tracker and I absolutely love it for that so far! My stack has gotten bigger for 2024 and I’m still trying to find my rhythm with them. I love everything I am tracking and recording but for me, it can be a little overwhelming at times. Like I mentioned, still trying to find my rhythm.
I wish I had grabbed a OURS 2024 Research Planner before they sold out (again). I love that layout!

I love this so much, and I’m going to be looking closely at it on New Year’s Eve as I get ready for 2024. But it gives me so much anxiety. 💀
I definitely plan more in bed than at my desk, because my desk is always covered in art supplies 😅

I do plan on bed, if my planner is not out and about with me, it lives in my night table or by my side on my desk so i can just reach for it and write. MANY times I end up reaching for it while I am on bed to check if I did what I was supposed that day and sometimes to write things for next day or later.
Journaling also happens in bed sometimes, depends on the mood and my level of tired xD I do fall asleep sometimes, but if I am that tired to fall asleep in the middle of my journaling, then I would have fallen asleep on my desk too anyway 😅

Curious if Neil decided to get the plamner you all were showing on one of the gifts videos. You all talked about how he's been using juat a notebook & he was thinking of using planner instead this year.
I loved the video. Great job. I have a question for all of you. What planner would you guys recommend for someone studying languages? I'm currently studying Japanese. And I'm finding myself with at least 6 things to carry. And there heavy. If possible I would like to only carry maybe 2 items. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thank You in advance.

I am all the way in Hawai'i but I hope to visit someday. I secretly (I guess not so secret anymore) hope to meet amy and neil someday!
